Silas
Beloved of All
Father, in the name of Jesus we bring before You those who feel stalked, harassed and assaulted, who are weary and afraid. You know their distress and You know the truth of every situation. We ask that You intervene with Your power to restrain evil, to expose and stop those who do harm, and to bring justice according to Your righteousness. Place Your protection around those who are suffering. Rescue them and deliver them from fear and from every form of torture and oppression.
We pray that You would pour out Your comfort through Your Word. Remind them that they are not forgotten or alone, that in Christ they have been brought near by His blood and have a living hope that cannot die. Fill them with Your joy and peace in believing, sustain them with patience, and guard their hearts and minds. Where there is despair, give hope. Where there is weakness in the body and spirit, give strength to endure one day at a time. Lead them to caring people who can help and support them, and keep them safe.
We do not ask You to take life before Your appointed time, but we do ask that You would be their refuge now and their sure hope for eternity. Let them know the hope of eternal life and the promise of Your kingdom, that whether in this life You deliver them or in the life to come You receive them, they will dwell with You forever through faith in Jesus. Help them to keep hoping in You and to find comfort in Your promises until You bring full redemption.
We trust You as the God of all hope and ask these things in the name of Jesus, our living hope. Amen.
