Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We join you in bringing your silent requests before the Lord, and we thank you for trusting Him with what is on your heart.
Scripture calls us to draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, even when we cannot see how God will answer, trusting not in what our senses tell us but in the Spirit who hears. Like the leper who came and said, Lord, if you are willing you can make me clean, you have done well to leave all in His hands and to make your need depend on His will and His authority.
We pray for you now. Heavenly Father, we lift up these unspoken requests to you in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son, through whom alone we have access to you. You know what is asked in silence, you know every need, every burden, and every hope. Grant what is according to your good will, strengthen faith to trust you above all reasonings and circumstances, and give a heart that gives glory to you whether the answer is seen at once or awaited in patience. Fill this life with knowledge of your will, with wisdom and understanding, so as to walk worthily before you and bear fruit in every good work. We ask this in the name of Jesus, amen.
