please pray

Your silent requests have been lifted before the Lord and we join you in praying for them in the name of Jesus.

God already knows what you need before you speak it, and He knows what you will need in the months and years ahead. Prayer is not telling God something He does not know. It is coming to Him as His child through Jesus, opening the door of your heart so He can do what He already desires to do in your life without violating the choice He has given you. For that reason the wisest and most peaceful prayer we can pray is simply, Lord, work out Your perfect will in my life.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our will done on earth, but to see His will done. He makes His purposes known to our hearts, and we agree with Him and speak them back to Him. When we pray that way we are cooperating with Him in what He wants to accomplish.

We also know what it is to pray and then wait, and to wonder why an answer seems delayed. God does hear the prayers of His people, and His desire is to bless, not because we are so good but because He is so good. At times He calls us to keep trusting Him even when we do not understand what He is doing, to rest in His character and to remember how He has helped and kept us before. A prayer of faith can then end in praise, with quiet confidence that He has heard and will answer according to His wisdom and love.

So we pray for you now that the Lord would meet each silent request according to His perfect will. May He give you trust to rest in Him, strength and a shield for whatever you are facing, and a heart that worships Him for who He is. May He make His will clear to you and give you peace as you wait on Him, knowing that He hears every prayer offered in Jesus name. Amen.
