Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, the way You want me to know You. So that I will trust You with my life and anyway that You move in my life. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, lean not to my own understanding, acknowledge You in all my ways, and allow You to direct my footsteps and actions. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your prayer has been heard, and the weight you are carrying is not hidden from God. To be without funds, to face a broken car when you need to pay for where you are staying, and to see your son storm out in anger, all at once, is a heavy trial. It is right that you have turned to the Lord to ask for help, for peace, and for forgiveness.

The peace you ask for is the first gift God desires to give. He is not a God of war and fighting, but a God of peace. When conflict rises in a home, the way of Christ is to make war and fighting to cease. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God. This does not mean the trouble around you will vanish at once, but that God can calm the heart within the trouble. Pray for your son as well, that anger would give way to peace, and when you have opportunity, seek reconciliation with gentleness. Do not return raging for raging, but be quiet and wait upon the Lord, showing both freedom from pride and nobleness of spirit.

You quoted the promise that whatever you ask in Jesus name it will be done. This is a true and precious promise, but it does not mean that God must grant every request exactly as we word it in the moment. To ask in Jesus name means to ask according to His character and His will, trusting His wisdom above our own. He hears every prayer offered through His Son, and He answers with what is best, even when the answer is to sustain us through the need rather than to remove it instantly. Your Father knows what you need before you ask.

Do not let anxiety for the things of this life consume you. Every conflict and fear in this life often springs from care for possessions and provision, yet our treasure that cannot be stolen is above. This does not mean God neglects your daily needs. He does call us to make provision for what is necessary for health and life, but not to be weighed down with manifold desires. The present life with its losses is passing like a dream, but the mercy and forgiveness of God remain. When we learn to despise anxious grasping and to trust Him, we find freedom to care for spiritual things and to see His hand even in small provisions.

He also forgives sins fully to those who come through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other name by which we are saved. When we confess our sins honestly before Him, He is faithful to forgive us for the sake of Christ who opened not His mouth in His humiliation and bore our judgment.

Let us pray together.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we come before You. You see this family in their need without funds and with a car that will not run, and with a heart that is troubled. Grant them Your grace and peace that You alone can keep firm. Calm this troubled heart and guard it. Provide for what is necessary day by day, and open a way for wise help from those near them. Soften the heart of this son, turn anger to peace, and bring reconciliation where there has been raging. Forgive sins through the blood of Christ, and help them to walk in Your ways with trust. Teach them to wait on You and to find rest not in the immediate answer but in Your faithful love. We ask this in the name of Jesus, Amen.

If you have a local church, please let them know of your practical need for the car and the stay, so they may help bear this burden with you. Continue to seek the Lord daily, and cast all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Your honesty about how heavy things feel right now is heard, and I am joining you in prayer. To have a car that will not run, no funds until you can pay for the place where you are staying, and a son who has stormed out in rage is a lot to carry at once. God does love you, and He sees every detail of this pressure.

About your son and the anger in your home, Scripture makes an important distinction. There is a kind of anger that is not sin, like the anger Jesus showed at sin and at hard hearts that kept people from receiving God's mercy. But most human anger, when it controls us, becomes sin. We are told to be angry and not sin, and not to let the sun go down on our anger. When we speak from bitterness and wrath and clamor and harsh words, we grieve the Holy Spirit who is meant to build us up. We are called instead to put away bitterness, wrath, anger and malice, and to be kind and forgiving to one another.

The Bible is very open about how destructive unchecked anger can be. Two of Jacob's sons acted in fierce anger and killed the men of a city, and years later their father still rebuked them for it. They lost the blessing that could have been theirs because of that temper. Anger left to burn can cost us dearly and wound those we love.

Yet God is able to change hearts that have been hardened by anger. Jacob feared meeting his brother Esau after years of bitterness and tried to appease him with gifts, but faith is not passive. Jacob still had to go and face his brother in trust. When they finally met, God had softened Esau's heart. What could have been a bitter confrontation became an embrace, with forgiveness and tears. In the same way, God can soften your son's heart and yours, and bring reconciliation where there is now raging and hurt. Pray for that softening, and as you are able, seek a calm time to talk, listen, and speak with gentleness rather than with words that tear down.

You also asked for peace and for provision, and you mentioned the promise that whatever we ask in Jesus' name will be done. That promise is precious, but it does not mean that God gives us whatever we name as if it were a formula. To ask in Jesus' name means to ask in fellowship with Him, according to His character and His will, trusting His wisdom. God invites us to bring every need to Him, including a car battery and rent for an extended stay, and He promises to hear and to answer according to what is good. At the same time, faith is not passive. It trusts God and also takes the next faithful step that is available, whether that is asking for wise counsel, letting a trusted pastor or local believers know of the practical need, or looking for safe help in your community.

You asked for forgiveness of sins, and that is the most important request of all. God does not hide our sin, but He has made a way to forgive it fully through Jesus Christ alone. When we turn to Him and confess, He forgives because of what Jesus has done for us. That forgiveness is the foundation for peace.

God does not want you to live in turmoil, worry and anxiety when He has promised rest to those who trust Him. The people of Israel missed that rest because they hardened their hearts in unbelief. Do not harden your heart in this trial. Choose to believe that God is faithful, that He knows your needs, and that He will carry you.

I am praying for you now, that the Lord will calm your heart and give you His peace that passes understanding, that He will provide for the car and for the funds you need for your stay in the way He knows is best, that He will work in your son's heart to turn away from rage and bring him back in peace, and that you will both know the comfort of being forgiven and sealed by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus. May He guard your hearts, help you to put away all bitterness and anger, and fill your home with kindness, forgiveness and hope as you trust Him day by day.

We want to gently encourage you about the promise you mentioned. You said God promised that whatever you ask in Jesus name it will be done. The Lord does give this wonderful promise and we cling to it, but we understand it in its full context. Jesus said, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14. And we also read, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 1 John 5:14. To ask in Jesus name is not a formula to claim anything we desire, but to ask according to His character, His will, and for His glory, trusting that He hears and answers according to what is best for us. He does hear you now and He does care deeply about your needs.

We are reminded of His faithful provision and His peace for you right now. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33.

We understand tensions run so high when finances and housing are unstable, but raging and storming out does not reflect Gods will for self control and honor in the family. Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath. Ephesians 4:26. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. We pray that God will soften his heart, bring him to calm repentance, and bring reconciliation between you. We pray that you will be given grace to respond with gentleness and not fear, even while you set loving boundaries.

We encourage you to keep bringing every need to the Lord with thanksgiving, and also to reach out for practical help where God often provides, through a local church family, a trusted pastor, or community assistance for a battery or transportation help. God often uses His people as His hands to provide.
