Please pray!

Disciple of Prayer
In the midst of all that is happening right now, our car battery has died. We have no funds at all until the ### and that has to really go toward paying for this extended stay. I just don't know what to do! My son stormed out and is raging. I know God loves us! I need him to provide and to give us peace now. God promised that whatever I ask Jesus' name, it will be done. Lord, please calm my heart and give us a solution. Lord, please forgive us of our sins. Please pray with us and for us! In the name of Jesus, Amen🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

We hear your heart in this very difficult moment and we are standing with you in prayer together in Jesus name. We know the weight you are carrying with the car battery dying, no funds until the date you mentioned, the pressure of paying for the extended stay, and the pain of seeing your son storm out in rage. We know God loves you and we thank you for reaching out and for asking forgiveness of sins and for calling on the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Acts 4:12, Romans 10:9

We want to gently encourage you about the promise you mentioned. You said God promised that whatever you ask in Jesus name it will be done. The Lord does give this wonderful promise and we cling to it, but we understand it in its full context. Jesus said, Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it. John 14:13-14. And we also read, This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 1 John 5:14. To ask in Jesus name is not a formula to claim anything we desire, but to ask according to His character, His will, and for His glory, trusting that He hears and answers according to what is best for us. He does hear you now and He does care deeply about your needs.

We are reminded of His faithful provision and His peace for you right now. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. But seek first Gods Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33.

We also want to speak with love about your sons anger. We understand tensions run so high when finances and housing are unstable, but raging and storming out does not reflect Gods will for self control and honor in the family. Be angry, and do not sin. Do not let the sun go down on your wrath. Ephesians 4:26. A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 15:1. We pray that God will soften his heart, bring him to calm repentance, and bring reconciliation between you. We pray that you will be given grace to respond with gentleness and not fear, even while you set loving boundaries.

We encourage you to keep bringing every need to the Lord with thanksgiving, and also to reach out for practical help where God often provides, through a local church family, a trusted pastor, or community assistance for a battery or transportation help. God often uses His people as His hands to provide.

We pray together now for you.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this dear one and her family to You. Lord You see the dead battery, the empty funds, the extended stay that must be paid, and the ache of a son who has left in anger. We ask for Your provision according to Your will and Your riches in glory. Please open a way for transportation, for funds to be stretched and provided, and for favor regarding the stay. Lord calm this dear heart and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Forgive us of our sins as we confess them, for You are faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. Bring her son back in peace, soften his heart, teach him self control by Your Spirit, and restore calm to this home. Help her to rest in You as her refuge and strength. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, trusting Your will and Your love. Amen.

We hear how heavy this moment feels. The car battery dying when you have no margin until the ### and the extended stay to cover, and your son storming out in anger, it makes sense your heart is racing and you feel stuck. We are holding you and your son in prayer today.

When everything piles up at once, it can help to separate what needs attention right now from what can wait a little. For tonight, giving your son some space to cool down while letting him know you love him and are here when he is ready to talk can keep things safer for you both. A brief text that you are praying and want him safe can be enough.

For the car, if you have not already, you might ask the extended stay manager or front desk if they know of a local jump service or a nearby auto parts store that tests batteries at no charge. Sometimes a nearby church or local community assistance program can point to short term help as well. And it may help to write down the one or two must pay items for the ### so you can see clearly what has to stretch.

Father, we lift this family to You. Calm anxious thoughts, guard their hearts with Your peace, provide for their practical needs and keep their son safe. Lead them to helpful people nearby and give them wisdom for each next step. Forgive sins as they have asked and draw them close to Your mercy in Jesus name, Amen.

Hello friend. Much compassion for you and your family dealing with your difficulties. I will uplift you in prayer for a miracle and that God blesses you with breakthrough, abundance and prosperity. I ask that God favors you with solutions and peace of mind. Pray with belief that you have already received what you asked for - that feeling of trust and faith will bring forth the evidence of things unseen to be seen. I send you love and light. God bless you favorably. And so it is. Amen

There is a heaviness upon you which many of the Lord's people have known, when outward troubles press and the heart within is troubled. A broken provision for the journey, want of funds, the burden of an extended stay, and a son who has gone out in heat of spirit, these together make a storm, and you cry for peace and for a way of escape.

Hear what the Word of God says to such a case. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This peace is not the absence of trial, but a keeping in the midst of it. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin. It is a peace in believing, a filling peace that meets the vacuum made by sin and sorrow, a sea that has no bottom nor shore, a peace of intense restfulness. Christ has made peace by His blood, and having abolished the enmity by His cross, He preaches peace to those who are near and to those who are far off. Peace with God is the fountain, and peace in the conscience is the crystal stream which issues from it.

You ask for calm of heart. That calm comes not by fixing the mind upon the difficulty, but by staying the mind upon God. I have found, and you will find, that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. If you must live as it were from hand to mouth, remember you are not the first child of God who has had his manna every morning, nor the first of His servants to have bread in the morning and bread in the evening with nothing to lay by for the morrow. The Lord who has sworn that He will not be angry with His people so as to rebuke them in wrath does not afflict in anger. Even when His hand is heavy in providence, nothing but love guides it, and all things work together for good to them that love God.

Concerning your son, the Lord Jesus Himself looked with anger upon hard hearts, not as a man given to passion whose blaze is as straw, but as the gentle and lowly Saviour who was grieved that men would not let Him bless them. Pray for your son that the Lord would soften what is hardened and turn his raging into repentance. Your part is to go in peace even while you wait, to not go among those about you disturbed and fluttered, but to rest your heart upon God and to speak with gentleness when the door is open again.

You write that God promised that whatever you ask in Jesus' name it will be done, and you have taken this as a warrant for every temporal relief exactly as you frame the request. Understand the promise rightly, lest your faith be wounded. To ask in Jesus' name is not to use His name as a formula to command what we will, but to ask as His people, according to His character and His will, trusting His wisdom to give or to withhold for our good. Joy and peace always come through believing, but that believing is a trusting of Christ Himself, not a trusting in our prayer or in our peace. Only let your confidence be not in your peace, not in your joy, but in Christ. He may give the car made ready, He may give daily bread through the hand of a neighbour or the church, He may give another way altogether, but He will give what is needed for you to do His will, for to know the will of Jesus and to do it is to abide in the peace of God.

And you ask for forgiveness of sins. Here is your sure ground. Your faith has saved you, go in peace. There is no peace worthy of the name to be found in any other way than by trusting the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation is. If you can have peace and yet live in sin, that peace is false, but if you confess sin and trust Him who was slain for sinners, there is a well founded peace which meets every need of the heart. Believe, that is, trust Jesus with your soul, and you shall have peace in believing.

We pray with you and for you now.

O God of hope, fill these Your children with all joy and peace in believing. Thou art the God of all peace, Christ has bought peace with His blood, and the Holy Spirit works it in the soul. Forgive sin through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, and let conscience hear the publication of that pardon. Keep the mind stayed on Thee in perfect peace while the outward want remains. In Thy providence open a way for daily need, whether by provision for the car, or for the dwelling, or by the kindness of Thy people, as seemeth good in Thy sight. Rebuke us not in anger, but deal with us in love. Bring back the son from his anger, subdue his spirit, and let peace be between those of one household. Teach us to do Thy will, for this is rest. We ask this not because we are worthy, but in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour and peace. Amen.

Cast your burden upon the Lord and stay your mind upon Him. He can keep you in the hour when heart and flesh fail, and He will be your joy.
