Please pray with and for me

MSC Prayers

Humble Servant of All
Dear Christian Family, Please pray for me and with me. My mom lives about ### miles away from me. She lives near my sister and brother-in-law, which is good. The problem is that we lived much closer to each other for about ### years up until about ### years ago. Now, with the time difference and distance, it’s difficult for both of us to make telephone calls at the right time. What I’m thinking, hoping, and praying is that God Will help us, and if necessary, a move might be the answer. It’s all in God’s Hands now. May His Will Be Done. I ask this in Jesus’ Precious and Holy Name. Amen.

We join with you in prayer and thank you for sharing your heart with us and for asking in Jesus Precious and Holy Name, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have come before the throne of grace in His name and we stand with you seeking God's will together.

We understand how difficult this distance must feel after living much closer for so many years, and we hear your love and honor for your mother. God places great value on that love. Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you. Exodus 20:12 and Honor your father and mother, which is the first commandment with a promise. Ephesians 6:2. Your desire to stay faithfully connected despite the miles and the time difference is pleasing to Him. We also take comfort that distance does not limit our God, for He is present with both of you. Where could I go from your Spirit. Or where could I flee from your presence. Psalm 139:7 and God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1.

We pray together for you and for your mother and for your sister and brother-in-law who are near her.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear child of Yours and their mother to Your throne of grace. Lord, You see the miles between them and the hours that separate them, and You know the longing to hear one another's voice at the right time. We ask that You bridge that distance with Your peace and Your presence. Grant them wisdom to find consistent times to connect that honor both of their needs and rest, and bless every conversation with encouragement and love. Lord, we ask for Your hand upon their mother, keep her in health and safety and surround her with care through family nearby. If a move is in Your will, make that path clear and open every door and provide every resource, and if You would have them remain where they are, give them contentment and creative ways to stay close in heart. Help them to trust You fully, for we know that A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Proverbs 16:9 and Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6. Let Your will be done in their lives as they have prayed, and let them know Your perfect peace as they wait on You. In all things we know that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28. We ask this in the precious and holy name of Jesus, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast every concern about this upon Him, for In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. We encourage you to set a regular rhythm if you are able, perhaps choosing one or two fixed times each week that work for both time zones and treating that time as a protected appointment, and to use other simple ways to stay connected between calls such as a short message or a scripture to let her know you are thinking of her. Above all, continue to seek His wisdom, If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. He will guide whether to stay or to move, and He will sustain the beautiful honor you show to your mother wherever you both live. We are praying with you that His will be done and that your fellowship remains strong in His love.

Thank you for sharing your heart with us about your mom. We can hear how much you value that closeness after living much nearer for so many years, and how the miles and time difference now make something as simple as a phone call feel complicated. We are grateful she has your sister and brother-in-law close by, and at the same time we understand the ache of not being able to just pick up the phone when you want to.

It is a good and faithful thing to place this in God's hands and ask for His will to be done, including whether staying where you are or considering a move is right. As you pray through that, one small step that often helps families across time zones is to find a gentle rhythm together rather than trying to catch each other at random. You might talk with your mom, and perhaps your sister, about one or two consistent windows each week that fit both of your days, and use a brief text beforehand to confirm it is still a good time. That can take some of the guesswork out and protect you both from disappointment.

We are praying with you for wisdom, peace, and continued closeness even across the distance.

Father, we lift this dear child and their mom to You. Thank You for the love they share and for the care nearby through family. Give them wisdom for how and when to connect, comfort in the loneliness of distance, and clear guidance about any future move. Keep them both in Your care and draw them closer to You and to each other. In Jesus' precious and holy name, Amen.

It is good that you have brought this burden to the Lord and that you have said from the heart, May His Will Be Done. We join our prayers with yours and commend you and your mother to the care of Him whose will is the axle of the universe and the great heart of providence sending its pulse through even the most distant limbs of human life.

You feel the distance keenly, having lived much nearer to each other for many years, and now being parted by many miles and by difference in time, so that even a telephone call becomes difficult to order aright. Yet we are taught that all things are under regulation and have an appointed place in God's plan, and nothing happens but what He permits or ordains. Your mother dwelling near your sister and brother in law is itself a mercy of His providing hand, and your love that longs to hear her voice and to be near her is also of His planting.

We are reminded that it is foolish for any of us to say we will go and we will do this or that and we will get gain, as if we could both propose and dispose without asking God's consent. The wiser and sweeter way is to feel in our hearts, If the Lord wills, we shall do this or that. So you have done well to leave this matter of a move and of the ordering of your converse in His hands. He is King, willing to do as He pleases, having mercy on whom He will have mercy, and the preservation and perseverance of His people rests upon His will. He can change the human will and make us willing in the day of His power, and He can open doors which no man can shut and shut doors which no man can open.

Let us pray together.

O Lord our Father, Thou knowest the love of a child for a mother and Thou hast commanded that we honour our father and mother. Look in mercy upon this Thy servant and upon a mother far away. Keep her in Thy tender pity as a father pities his children, and preserve her in health and grace. Give wisdom to this Thy child to find the right times and seasons for fellowship by voice, and let love bridge the miles though the hands cannot. If it be Thy revealed and gracious will, make plain the path concerning a move, and give contentment either to go or to stay, as Thou shalt appoint. Above all, conform both hearts to Thy holy will, that they may say with Thy Son, Not as we will, but as Thou wilt, and may find their best profit in doing Thy will. Keep them both in Christ Jesus, in whom alone is salvation, and let Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We ask this in Jesus Precious and Holy Name, Amen.

Take comfort that He who taught you to pray Thy will be done will also teach you to rest in it. Continue in faithful remembrance, in prayer at such hours as you can find, and in thankfulness for the mercies you have, trusting that whether the answer be a nearer dwelling or a more ordered use of the present distance, the Lord will withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly, and will in His own time and way make His will plain.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
