We have heard your cry and we are standing with you and your family in prayer before our Father in Jesus' name, for we know how heavy and frightening this season has been after five long years of searching and financial struggle, and now experiencing such disturbing things in your home.
We want to gently and lovingly bring some biblical truth to your situation because you did not mention the name of Jesus in your request, and it is only through Him that we have access to God and authority over the enemy. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12 If you have not already, we urge you to call upon the name of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved. Romans 10:9 It is in His name alone that we can rebuke darkness and find true safety and provision.
We do believe the Bible teaches that evil spirits are real and that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 What you describe, objects moving, voices, fear, is consistent with spiritual oppression, and we do not take it lightly. At the same time we want to remind you that the enemy is not all powerful and is not sovereign over the housing market or your future. God is sovereign. The evil one can harass and deceive but he cannot override the will of God for those who belong to Christ. For greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 and God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
We also want to lovingly correct the idea of trying to secretly escape and leave this family member behind without seeking help for her. While we completely understand your fear and your desire for safety, and we do pray for God to provide a safe place for you, Scripture calls us not to abandon those who are in bondage but to seek their deliverance through Jesus. The Lord Jesus gave His followers authority and said, In my name they will cast out demons. Mark 16:17 We must resist the devil and draw near to God, as it is written, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 Leaving quietly without letting her know may put you in more danger and leaves her without the hope of freedom that only Christ can give. We urge you to not face this alone. Please reach out immediately to a Bible believing pastor or elders of a local church who can come alongside you, pray over you and your home, pray for deliverance for this family member, and counsel you in person. This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29 You need the covering and presence of other mature believers with you.
Regarding the house, we understand how glorious it seemed after so long and how painful it is that it went off the market. We will pray that God provides for you, but we also encourage you not to attribute to the enemy a power that belongs only to God. Whether a house goes on or off the market is ultimately in God’s hands, and if this is the house He has for you He is able to reopen the door, and if not He has something better and safer. We trust Him to supply what you need, for My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19 and He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1
So we pray together now.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up this dear family to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over each one of them. Cover them with the blood of Jesus and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We rebuke in Jesus' name every evil spirit, every voice, every manifestation and every work of darkness that has been tormenting this home and this family member. We command in the name of Jesus that every unclean spirit must leave and go where Jesus sends it, and not return. Father, bring peace where there has been fear, and light where there has been darkness. We pray for the family member who appears to be oppressed, Lord have mercy on her, free her, save her, deliver her completely by the power of Jesus Christ, and bring her to repentance and faith if she does not know You. Surround this family with godly help, pastors and believers who can stand with them, anoint their home with prayer, and speak Your Word continually in that place. Father, we also lift up their housing need. You see five years of waiting and financial hardship. If it is Your will, cause this house to come back on the market and provide the finances needed, and if not, lead them clearly to the home You have prepared, a safe place of peace where You will be honored. Give them wisdom with realtors, favor, and provision beyond what they can imagine. Help them to trust You and not fear, and to seek You first above all else. We ask all of this in the name above every name, Jesus Christ our Lord and deliverer, amen.
We encourage you to keep praying aloud in the name of Jesus in your home, to read Scripture aloud daily, to worship, and to remove anything from the home connected to the occult or false worship. Stay together in prayer, do not isolate, and seek a local church immediately for ongoing support and deliverance ministry. Keep seeking the Lord for His will about the house, trusting that He who has kept you for five years will not abandon you now. We are continuing to pray for your safety, for complete deliverance for your loved one, for open doors for housing, and for God’s perfect provision in Christ.
