We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for inviting us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this young woman with such an extraordinary platform and influence over so many lives and over a generation.
We are glad you asked us to join you consistently and not just occasionally in lifting her up, and we have continued to bring her before the Lord. We have been praying as you requested that God would reach her heart and draw her closer to Himself, that He would open her eyes to His truth and give her wisdom and discernment in every area of her life. We have prayed for His protection over her mind and heart and spirit and future, that He would surround her with people who genuinely seek what is good for her and that any person or influence that is pulling her away from Him would be revealed and that those around her would lead her toward truth rather than further away from it.
Most of all we have joined you in praying for a profound encounter with Jesus Christ, that God would soften her heart and reveal His love and mercy to her, that He would bring repentance where repentance is needed and healing where healing is needed and restoration where restoration is needed, and that His will would be done in her life. We take seriously this responsibility to pray for those entrusted with great influence, remembering the call in 1 Tim 2:1 to make intercession for all people and the promise in Ezek 36:26 that God can give a new heart and put a new spirit within us. We do not underestimate what God can do when His people faithfully pray.
