Disciple of Prayer
O Lord, thwart every demonic power directed against me. And restore to me, O Jesus, all that the enemy has stolen from me. Protect me from the unjust man. Deliver me from the plots of the wicked, from the evildoers, from the adversaries, and from the wicked warriors. Deal with, O Lord, all who speak ill of me, wish me harm, and seek to hurt me. Free me completely and send Your holy angels to protect me, O Jesus. Preserve me, O Lord, and thwart the thoughts and plans of all who plot against me, and turn their evil back upon them, O Jesus. Turn all that is against me to my advantage, and make those who have harmed me repent and turn to my good. Use all who plot against me for my benefit, and turn all the plans of the wicked to my advantage, and all evil against me to my advantage, O Lord, and do not allow evil to come near me. In the name of the Lord Jesus, I pray.

We hear your cry for protection and restoration, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your requests before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but our Lord came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of Him (Isaiah 54:17).

Heavenly Father, we come before You as a body of believers, united in faith, and we ask that You thwart every demonic power directed against our brother/sister. Bind the strongman and plunder his goods, for no one can enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can rob his house (Mark 3:27). We rebuke every spirit of fear, oppression, and torment in the name of Jesus, for God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

Lord, we ask that You restore all that the enemy has stolen, joy, peace, health, provision, relationships, and any other blessings that have been taken unjustly. You are the God who restores, and we trust in Your promise: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten" (Joel 2:25). We declare that every plot of the wicked against our brother/sister is exposed and dismantled. "The Lord will frustrate the plans of the nations; He will thwart the purposes of the peoples" (Psalm 33:10). Protect him/her from every unjust person, for You are a shield to those who take refuge in You (Proverbs 30:5).

We pray that You deal with all who speak ill, wish harm, or seek to hurt our brother/sister. Vengeance is Yours, O Lord, and You will repay (Romans 12:19). We ask that You turn their evil back upon them, not out of malice, but so that they may see the error of their ways and repent. "Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety" (Psalm 141:10). We also pray that You would turn all that is against him/her to his/her advantage, for You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

Father, we ask that You send Your holy angels to encamp around our brother/sister, to guard and protect him/her in all his/her ways (Psalm 91:11). Preserve him/her from every snare of the enemy, and let no evil come near his/her dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We declare that the plans of the wicked will not stand, for "the Lord laughs at the wicked, for He sees that his day is coming" (Psalm 37:13).

We also want to gently remind you, dear brother/sister, that while we stand in agreement with your prayer for justice and protection, we must also examine our own hearts. Are there areas where bitterness, unforgiveness, or unconfessed sin may be giving the enemy a foothold? "If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me" (Psalm 66:18). We encourage you to search your heart and confess any sin, for the Lord is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your promise to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We ask that You surround our brother/sister with Your hedge of protection, that no harm may come near him/her. Lord, we rebuke every demonic power and assignment against him/her, and we declare that they are bound and rendered powerless in the name of Jesus. We ask that You restore all that the enemy has stolen, health, peace, joy, provision, and relationships. Let Your light shine into every dark place, and let Your healing power flow through every area of his/her life.

Father, we pray for those who have spoken ill of him/her, who have wished harm, or who have sought to hurt him/her. We ask that You soften their hearts and turn their evil intentions to good. Let them see the error of their ways and repent, so that they may be saved and used for Your glory. We declare that no weapon formed against our brother/sister shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him/her in judgment shall be condemned. We trust in Your justice, Lord, and we ask that You deal with every unjust person according to Your perfect will.

We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your promises, and we declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him/her (Romans 8:37). We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Put on the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). Walk in the light, and do not give the enemy any foothold (Ephesians 4:27). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

You have good faith to ask for prayers. Lord, please fill this person with peace and joy and give them back what the enemy has taken from them. Protect them from the unjust and deliver them from wicked plots from the evildoers and adversaries. I pray that you protect this person and more, in Jesus name, amen. Have a good night/day

We hear the weight in your prayer, feeling surrounded on every side and longing for God's protection and for what has been lost to be restored. It's understandable to feel on edge when you sense opposition and unkind words directed at you. We want you to know you are not alone in this, and we are standing with you in prayer.

One thing that has helped many believers when fear feels close is to keep both truths together. God is very real and near, and evil is real but not greater than Him. It can help not to stay focused only on the threat, but to stay rooted in steady, simple practices that keep you close to the Lord over time, like regular prayer, reading Scripture, and meeting with trusted believers. Think of it more like training than trying to fix everything in one moment. Small, faithful steps over time build steadiness.

It can also help not to carry this alone. If you have a pastor or a mature, trusted friend in your church, consider letting them know how you have been feeling and asking them to pray with you in person. Knowing others are praying for you by name and having someone beside you often brings a calm that praying alone does not.

Father, we lift our brother to You right now. Cover them with Your peace, guard their heart and mind, and keep them close to You. Show them Your presence each day, restore what has been broken, and give wisdom to trusted people around them to support them well. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in seeking His mercy and deliverance.

There is comfort in the word which says, He is gracious unto him, and says, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. Let it never be forgotten that in all that God does He acts from good reasons. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground, but the Lord Himself kindles the furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. For this reason we may wisely moderate our anger against second causes, against the unjust man and those who speak ill of you, and wait only upon God, for our expectation is from Him.

We pray that you may know the higher restoration than mere relief from outward trouble, even deliverance from sin and from the power of darkness. Scripture teaches that deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and it is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy. No true liberty is found but that of which Christ makes you free. He has found a ransom, and that ransom is His own dear Son, who has redeemed us from the curse and keeps back our soul from the Pit.

Therefore we entreat the Lord for you, that He would be gracious unto you, that He would keep your soul from perishing by the sword and chasten you only as a Father, that He would deliver you from the archers of the enemy and from all the plots of the wicked, that He would send His holy angels to encamp around you and preserve you from evil, and that He would restore unto you the joy of His salvation. May you be able to say with the Psalmist, The Lord has chastened me sorely, but He has not given me over unto death. I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.

We ask the Lord to thwart every dark power that would assail you, to turn the counsel of evildoers to nothing, and to make even that which is meant for harm to work for your good according to His sovereign wisdom, and to bring those who oppose you, if it be His will, to repentance and to seek the same grace which saves you. May He teach you the mischief that comes from loving the world, and deliver you fully from the fascinating power of sin, so that you may live to His praise.

We commend you to Him who alone can save from yourself, from old sins, from the devil and from evil company, trusting that He who has given commandment to save you will keep you. May you after this affliction be enriched spiritually and made to declare with gratitude what great things the Lord has done for your soul.
