What you have prayed is a strong and biblical prayer. The enemy is real, but he is a defeated foe. Jesus Christ has already triumphed over him through the cross and the resurrection, and all authority belongs to the risen King. So when you pray against the works of the devil, you are not asking God to win a battle that is still undecided. You are enforcing the victory that has already been won.
The first thing is to recognize the source. The attacks and plans you are naming are spiritual, not merely natural. If the enemy can lure you into the physical realm, into discouragement, frustration, or fear, he gains ground. So do not depend on merely human strength or strategies. Use the spiritual weapons: the word of God, faith, and prayer.
Resist the devil in the name of Jesus, and he will flee from you. Be specific, just as you have been. The enemy is stubborn and gives ground only when he must. So continue to claim Christ's victory over every direct and indirect work, every connection and influence. Take authority in the name of Jesus, because the principalities and powers are subject to him. When you come against them in his name, they must yield.
Stand in the truth and put on the whole armor of God. The word of God is both a defense and an offense. It protects your heart from the enemy's lies, and it becomes the sword of the Spirit against his strongholds. And then rejoice in the victory. Those who overcome do so by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. As you rejoice in what Christ has done, the heaviness and discouragement lift, and you begin to walk in the victory he has given.
I join you in praying that Jesus Christ will completely silence the mouth of the devil, halt every plan, and put an end to every work, whether direct, indirect, or through any connection or influence, for the one you have brought before the Lord. May the enemy's blinding influence be broken, and may this one be set free to choose and follow Christ without hindrance. In Jesus' name, amen.
