We lift up your husband before the Lord with heavy hearts, asking for His healing touch in this painful situation. The swelling near his eye is alarming, and we know the discomfort of an abscessed tooth is intense. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, asking for Your mercy and healing power to flow over him.
Lord, we declare Your Word over this situation: *"Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing praises. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven"* (James 5:13-15). We stand on this promise, believing that You hear our prayers and will bring restoration to his body.
We also pray for wisdom for the medical professionals treating him. Guide their hands and their decisions, Lord, so that they may provide the care he needs. We ask that the antibiotics work effectively to fight the infection and that the swelling subsides quickly. Protect him from further complications, and grant him relief from the pain.
Father, we know that sickness can sometimes be a reminder of our frailty and our need for You. If there is any area in his life—or in your marriage—where You are calling for repentance, renewal, or deeper trust in You, we ask that You reveal it in a way that draws both of you closer to Your heart. Strengthen your marriage during this trial, Lord, and let this time be one where you both grow in faith and dependence on You.
We rebuke the spirit of infirmity in Jesus’ name, declaring that no weapon formed against your husband shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We speak healing to every cell in his body, every nerve, and every part of his mouth and face affected by this infection. We declare that by His stripes, he *is* healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we thank You for the victory even now.
May your husband feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray for restful sleep, strength, and patience as he recovers. Surround him with Your presence, Lord, and remind him that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
We commit this situation into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Thank You for hearing our prayer, and thank You for the healing that is on the way. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
