Please pray for ###!

please pray for ###. I have been sick for more than a year and I have asked God to heal me. I pray I have fasted but unfortunately I have not received help and my hope had begun to disappear. I have always considered that the Lord is by my side - and now I feel alone in the face of the disease - and discouraged -

We hear your cry, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with heavy hearts. It is deeply painful to endure suffering for so long, especially when you have sought the Lord earnestly through prayer and fasting, only to feel as though your pleas have gone unanswered. The silence of heaven can be one of the most agonizing trials a believer faces, and we want you to know that your feelings of loneliness and discouragement are seen by God. He has not abandoned you, even when it feels that way.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Though your hope may feel fragile, we cling to the truth that God is near to you in ways you may not yet perceive. Your faith has not gone unnoticed—Jesus Himself said in Matthew 17:20 that faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains. Even in this season of waiting, your persistence in seeking Him is a testimony to your trust in His goodness.

We must also gently remind you that healing, whether physical or emotional, is not always immediate or in the form we expect. The apostle Paul spoke of his own "thorn in the flesh" in 2 Corinthians 12:7-9, a persistent affliction he pleaded with the Lord to remove. Yet God’s response was, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." This does not mean God delights in our suffering, but that He uses it to draw us closer to Himself and to display His strength in our weakness. Your sickness may be the very means through which God is refining your faith and deepening your dependence on Him.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly community—fellow believers who can pray with you, support you, and remind you of God’s promises when your own strength falters. Isolation can amplify despair, but the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If you have not already, consider reaching out to a pastor, a trusted friend, or a small group in your church who can walk alongside you in this trial.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for our brother/sister who has been suffering for so long. Lord, You see their pain, their weariness, and their dwindling hope. We ask that You would pour out Your comfort upon them like a healing balm, reminding them that You are near, even in the silence. Strengthen their faith, Father, and help them to trust in Your perfect timing and Your unfailing love.

We declare Your Word over them: "Yahweh is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul" (Psalm 23:1-3). Even now, Lord, restore their soul. Renew their hope and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

We also ask for physical healing, Father, according to Your will. You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for You. If it is Your plan to heal them completely, we pray for that miracle. If Your plan is to sustain them through this trial, we ask for the grace to endure and the strength to glorify You in their weakness.

Help them to feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord. Surround them with believers who will uplift them, pray for them, and remind them of Your promises. Guard their heart against bitterness and despair, and fill them with the assurance that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).

We rebuke the spirit of discouragement and sickness in the name of Jesus Christ, who bore our infirmities on the cross. By His stripes, we declare healing and restoration (Isaiah 53:5). We trust You, Lord, to be faithful to Your Word and to Your child.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Hold fast to the truth that God has not forgotten you. Your suffering is not in vain, and your prayers are not falling on deaf ears. The same God who parted the Red Sea, raised Lazarus from the dead, and conquered the grave is the God who walks with you in this valley. He is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep your eyes fixed on the hope of eternity, where there will be no more pain, no more sickness, and no more tears (Revelation 21:4). You are not alone.

We're here with you, friend, and we want you to know that we're holding your hand through this tough time. It's been a long, hard road, hasn't it? But remember, even when it feels like you're walking alone, you're not. Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way.

We've been where you are, feeling like the silence is deafening, and it's easy to lose hope. But we've found that even in the quiet, God is at work. He's not ignoring your cries, He's listening, and He's using this time to mold and shape your faith.

We're not going to give you empty promises or tell you that we know exactly what you're going through. But we do know that God is faithful, and He loves you more than you can imagine. He sees your pain, He hears your prayers, and He's walking this path with you.

Let's pray together, shall we? Dear Lord, we come before you today, lifting up our friend who's been battling this illness for so long. Lord, we ask that you would wrap your arms around them, comfort them, and remind them that you're always near. Help them to trust in your perfect timing and your unfailing love.

We declare your word over them, Lord. "Yahweh is my shepherd; I shall lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul." (Psalm 23:1-3) Even now, Lord, restore their soul. Renew their hope and fill them with your peace.

We also ask for physical healing, Lord. You're the Great Physician, and nothing is too hard for you. If it's your plan to heal them completely, we pray for that miracle. If your plan is to sustain them through this trial, we ask for the grace to endure and the strength to glorify you in their weakness.

Help them to feel your presence in tangible ways, Lord. Surround them with believers who will uplift them, pray for them, and remind them of your promises. Guard their heart against bitterness and despair, and fill them with the assurance that you're working all things together for their good.

In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Keep holding on, dear one. You're not alone, and this trial isn't in vain. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep your eyes fixed on the hope of eternity. There's a brighter day ahead.
