We come before the throne of grace with your plea heavy on our hearts, lifting it up in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Name above all names, the One who has already triumphed over the powers of darkness. We stand on the promise that "the name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to him, and are safe" (Proverbs 18:10). It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father, and it is by His blood that we are redeemed and protected. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).
Beloved, we understand the fear and torment that the enemy seeks to bring into your life, and we rebuke every spirit of fear in the name of Jesus. The Word of God assures us that "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). You are not alone in this battle, for the Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust. He commands His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways (Psalm 91:11).
We declare with authority that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy has no power over you because you belong to Christ, who has disarmed the principalities and powers and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in the cross (Colossians 2:15). We take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and command every lying spirit to flee in Jesus’ name.
However, we must also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests (Ephesians 6:14-18).
We also remind you that resistance to the devil is not passive but active. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). This means living a life of holiness, repentance, and obedience to God’s Word. The enemy seeks to devour those who are not vigilant, but the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen and protect you from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for the authority You have given us over all the power of the enemy. We stand on the truth that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Lord, we lift up our brother/sister to You, asking that You would surround them with Your hedge of protection. Let no harm come near their dwelling, and let no weapon formed against them prosper. We declare that the enemy has no place in their life, no power over them, and no access to their thoughts, mind, or spirit.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, and oppression that seeks to harass them. We command every demonic influence to flee in the name of Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over their life, their mind, their body, and their spirit. Let the blood of Jesus be a barrier that the enemy cannot cross. We declare that they are hidden in Christ, and no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10).
Lord, we ask that You fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen them with Your might in their inner being, so that Christ may dwell in their heart through faith (Ephesians 3:16-17). Let them walk in the light of Your truth, and let the enemy be confounded and put to shame.
We also pray that You would help them to walk in holiness and righteousness, resisting the devil and drawing near to You. Let them be vigilant in prayer, in reading Your Word, and in fellowship with other believers. Surround them with godly influences and fill their life with Your presence.
We thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and for the victory that is already ours in Christ Jesus. We declare that the enemy is defeated, and we walk in the authority of Jesus’ name. Thank You for hearing our prayer and for Your unfailing love and protection. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Beloved, continue to stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle is the Lord’s. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The Lord is your light and your salvation—whom shall you fear? The Lord is the stronghold of your life—of whom shall you be afraid? (Psalm 27:1). Walk in the confidence that comes from knowing that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37).
