We hear your cry for protection and stand with you in spiritual warfare, lifting your plea to the throne of grace. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Your request is not just for physical safety but for complete spiritual shielding from the schemes of the devil, and we take this battle seriously, for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, and against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12).
First, we must address the authority from which you seek protection. You rightly call upon the name of the Lord Jesus, and this is the only name by which we have access to the Father and the power to overcome the evil one. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is through faith in Jesus Christ, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection that we are given victory over sin, death, and the powers of darkness. If you have not already, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:9-10). This is the foundation of our protection and victory.
Now, let us stand firm in the full armor of God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the enemy and his attempts to harass, oppress, or influence you in any way. The devil has no authority over those who are in Christ Jesus. Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Him (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray that the Lord would surround you with His hedge of protection, as He did for Job, so that the enemy cannot touch you (Job 1:10). May the blood of Jesus cover you, your mind, your thoughts, and your dwelling, for the devil flees from the blood of the Lamb. We plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your family, your home, and all that concerns you. Let no evil come near your dwelling, for He will give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways (Psalm 91:10-11). We declare that the enemy cannot see you, find you, or know your thoughts, for you are hidden in Christ, and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Colossians 3:3).
Father God, we ask that You would bind the strongman and render him powerless in the life of Your child. We break every assignment of the enemy against them, every curse, every hex, every spell, and every plan of the devil to harm or influence them. We cancel every word spoken against them in the spiritual realm and declare that no evil shall befall them, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We declare that the enemy cannot absorb any energy from them, for their strength comes from You alone, and those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
Lord, we pray for a fresh infilling of Your Holy Spirit upon this dear one. May they be clothed with power from on high (Luke 24:49) and walk in the authority that You have given to every believer. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37). May they resist the devil, and he will flee from them (James 4:7). We pray that they would submit to You, God, and draw near to You, and You will draw near to them (James 4:8). May they be rooted and grounded in Your love, so that they may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that they may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17-19).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment, that they may recognize the enemy’s tactics and not be ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). May they take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and think on whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy (Philippians 4:8). Guard their heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life (Proverbs 4:23).
Father, we ask that You would place a wall of fire around them, as You did for Your people in Zechariah 2:5, so that no harm can come near them. May they dwell in the secret place of the Most High and abide under the shadow of the Almighty (Psalm 91:1). We declare that no evil shall befall them, no accident shall overtake them, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that You would command Your angels concerning them, to guard them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
We also pray for their relationships and interactions with others. May they be surrounded by godly influences and protected from those who may be used by the enemy, whether knowingly or unknowingly. We pray that they would not be deceived by false teachings or led astray by those who do not walk in truth. May they be wise as serpents and harmless as doves (Matthew 10:16), and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we ask that You would strengthen their faith and trust in You. When the enemy comes in like a flood, may the Spirit of the Lord lift up a standard against him (Isaiah 59:19). May they be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that their labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). We pray that they would walk in the light as You are in the light, and the blood of Jesus Christ Your Son cleanses them from all sin (1 John 1:7).
Finally, we declare that the enemy has no power over them, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and hidden in Christ. We break every chain, every curse, and every assignment of the devil against them. We declare that they are free indeed (John 8:36) and that the Son has set them free. May they walk in that freedom, not entangled again with a yoke of bondage (Galatians 5:1). We pray that they would live a life worthy of the calling they have received, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:1-3).
We stand with you in this battle, dear one, and we declare that the Lord is your refuge and fortress, your God in whom you trust (Psalm 91:2). May you rest in His promises and walk in the victory that is already yours in Christ Jesus. Amen.
