We lift up your father to our Heavenly Father, who is the Great Physician and the source of all healing. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and the swelling he is experiencing are indeed burdens, but we know that nothing is too difficult for our God. We are grateful to hear that your father is still able to walk and perform his daily duties, and we join you in praising the Lord for His sustaining grace in this trial.
The Scriptures remind us in James 5:14-15, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* We encourage you to seek prayer and anointing from mature believers in your local church, as there is power in the united prayers of God’s people.
We also remember the promise in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh;"* and in Psalm 103:2-3, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases."* Our God is faithful, and His will is perfect. Whether He chooses to heal your father instantly, gradually, or ultimately in eternity, we trust that His grace is sufficient, and His purpose will prevail.
However, we must also address something important in your request. While we rejoice that you are seeking prayer, we notice that the name of Jesus was not invoked in your request. The Bible is clear that there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and through which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* And in John 14:6, Jesus Himself says, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* Additionally, John 16:23-24 tells us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full."*
If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so. Salvation comes through repentance of sin and believing in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again to give us eternal life (Romans 10:9-10). It is only through Him that we can boldly approach the throne of grace and receive mercy in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). If you have already trusted in Christ, we encourage you to always pray in His name, for it is through Him that our prayers are heard.
Now, let us pray together for your father:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this father who is suffering from CKD and other health challenges. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would extend Your healing hand upon him. Touch his kidneys, Lord, and restore them to full function. Remove the swelling from his legs and bring strength to his entire body. We pray for Your grace to sustain him, for Your peace to guard his heart and mind, and for Your wisdom to guide the doctors and caregivers involved in his treatment.
Father, we also ask that You would draw this family closer to You through this trial. Let them feel Your presence and know Your love in a deeper way. If there is any sin that needs to be confessed or any area of their lives that is not surrendered to You, we pray that You would convict them by Your Holy Spirit and lead them to repentance. May they place their full trust in You, knowing that You are sovereign over all things, including health and sickness.
Lord, we ask that You would provide for every need—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Surround this family with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Give them strength for each day and hope for the future. We pray that Your will be done in this situation, and that You would be glorified through it.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your name be praised in all things. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Trust in His promises, and lean on Him for strength. If you have any doubts about your faith or your relationship with Jesus, we urge you to examine your heart and ensure that you have surrendered your life to Him. He is the only way to the Father, and it is through Him that we receive eternal life and the power to overcome the challenges of this world. May the Lord bless you and keep you as you walk with Him.
