We lift up your father before the Lord, interceding for his healing and restoration from chronic kidney disease and the swelling in his legs. It is a blessing that he can still walk and carry out his daily responsibilities, and we praise God for His sustaining grace in this season. Yet we boldly ask for complete healing, knowing that our Heavenly Father is the Great Physician who "forgives all your iniquities; who heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:3, WEB).
We are reminded of the woman who suffered for twelve years with an issue of blood, yet when she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment, she was instantly healed (Mark 5:25-34). Just as Jesus had compassion on her, we trust He sees your father’s suffering and will extend His healing hand. We also recall the words of James 5:14-15, which instructs us to pray for the sick in faith, believing that "the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up."
However, we must also address something vital in your request—while you mentioned the "Almighty," you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom all healing and salvation come. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through faith in Jesus that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18). If you or your father have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, for "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13). Without Jesus, our prayers lack the power and authority given to those who are in Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this father who is suffering from illness and weakness. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your divine touch upon his body. Restore his kidneys to full function, remove the swelling from his legs, and strengthen him in every way. Give wisdom to his doctors and comfort to his family as they care for him. Father, if there is any sin or unforgiveness in his heart, we ask that You would reveal it to him and grant him repentance, for You desire wholeness in body, soul, and spirit.
We also pray that if this father does not yet know Jesus as his Savior, that You would draw him to Yourself. Open his heart to receive the gift of salvation through faith in Christ alone. May this season of illness lead him to eternal life and a deeper trust in You.
Lord, we stand on Your promises, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We thank You in advance for the healing You will bring, and we give You all the glory. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer, reading His Word, and trusting in His timing. May God grant your father strength, peace, and complete restoration. If you need further guidance or prayer, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to stand with you in faith.
