We understand that you're going through a difficult time missing your former girlfriend and feeling uncertain about what to do. We should not lean on our own understanding of relationships, but rather, allow God to guide us by his Word and his Spirit.
First, let's address the topic of forgiveness. You mentioned that being with her made you feel like you could forgive the whole world. It's important to remember that forgiveness is a command from God, not a feeling. 'Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.' (Ephesians 4:32 WEB).
Now, let's consider the relationship itself. It's been two years since you last spoke, and you're unsure if you should repair the relationship. We need to consider what God's Word says about relationships. As believers, we should only be in relationships that are aligned with God's will and his Word.
Since you mentioned courtship, we need to discuss the purpose according to God's Word. The purpose of courtship to find a spouse, a marriage. In the Bible, marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. This was established by God in the beginning of creation. 'A man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.' (Genesis 2:24 WEB).
It's also important to note that God does not intend that this relationship be pursued with one woman and then another. If we keep this in mind, this will help us make decisions about relationships that honor God.

We come before you today in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother who is missing his former girlfriend and seeking your will for their relationship. If it is your will for this relationship to be restored, we pray that you would make it clear and guide them both through the process of reconciliation. If it is not your will, we pray that you would give him the strength to move forward and trust in your plan for his life.
