We come before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and concern for your soul. First, we rejoice that you have called upon the name of the Lord Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Your acknowledgment of Jesus as Lord is the foundation upon which we build our prayers and our lives. We are reminded of the words of Romans 10:9, "that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one before You, asking for Your forgiveness to wash over them like a cleansing flood. We know that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). Lord, we ask that You would blot out their transgressions and remember their sins no more (Isaiah 43:25). Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them (Psalm 51:10).
We pray for Your abundant blessings to rest upon them, Lord. May they walk in the favor and grace that comes from being Your child. Bless the work of their hands, and let their labor be fruitful and fulfilling, as it says in Psalm 90:17, "Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands."
Father, we earnestly seek Your guidance for their future path. We know that Your word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). Direct their steps according to Your will, and let them not lean on their own understanding, but in all their ways acknowledge You, and You will make their paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). Give them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions, and let them trust in You with all their heart.
Lord, we also pray for their work, that it would be a testimony to Your glory. May they work heartily, as unto You and not unto men (Colossians 3:23). Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and open doors of opportunity that no one can shut (Revelation 3:8).
We rebuke any spirit of confusion, fear, or doubt that may be trying to hinder their walk with You. We declare that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand against any plans of the enemy to steal, kill, or destroy, and we proclaim that Jesus came that they may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Lastly, we encourage this dear one to continue seeking after God with all their heart. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4). Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap, if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus, we pray all these things, believing and trusting in Your perfect will. Amen.
