We hear your heart and stand with you in prayer, lifting up your home and circumstances before the Lord. First, we must address the language of favor being sought "over everyone in this home." Scripture teaches us to seek humility and to prefer others before ourselves (Philippians 2:3-4), not to elevate ourselves above them. True favor comes from God and is not about competition or comparison with others, but about walking in His will and righteousness.
We also want to gently correct the phrase "whom I pray rent to want wants me to receive." It seems there may be some confusion or misplaced trust here. Our provision comes from the Lord, not from man or circumstances. We are called to trust in Him alone for our needs (Matthew 6:31-33). While we can pray for financial provision, our ultimate trust must be in God, not in landlords or others to "want" us to receive. The Lord is our provider, and He will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Let us also remind you that courage, strength, and being quickened by the Spirit are gifts from God, but they are not for our own glory or elevation. They are for His purposes and to bring Him honor (2 Timothy 1:7). We must ensure that our prayers align with His will and not our own desires for self-promotion.
We rejoice with you that the Lord has delivered you from your past and is making all things new (2 Corinthians 5:17). Let us not dwell on what was, but press forward toward the goal of knowing Christ and becoming more like Him (Philippians 3:13-14).
Now, let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this home and the circumstances surrounding it to You. Lord, we ask that You would provide for every need according to Your riches in glory. We pray that You would grant wisdom and favor in all interactions and that Your peace would reign in this place.
Father, we ask that You would give strength and courage to walk in Your ways and to trust in You alone for provision. Quicken this dear one by Your Spirit, that they may be sensitive to Your leading and empowered to live a life that honors You. We pray that the past would remain behind, and that the future would be filled with hope and purpose in You.
Lord, we ask that You would help them to seek Your will above all else, to walk in humility, and to trust in You for every need. May they find their identity and worth in You alone, and may their life reflect Your love and grace to those around them.
We pray for protection over this home, that it would be a place of peace, safety, and godliness. May Your presence fill every room, and may Your name be glorified in all that is done here. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in all things, trusting in His provision and timing. Remember that He is faithful, and His plans for you are good (Jeremiah 29:11). Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and He will direct your path.
