Beloved of All
Please pray for our son ###.
He is ### years old and has been struggling with drugs for over ### years now. This past summer he voluntarily attended a Christian-based rehab program in ### and was doing better; he was on fire for Christ and really excited about his future. ### left the program prematurely believing he had a strong enough foundation in Christ and moved back to ### in October. Over the past few months ### has turned back to drugs. A combination of setting his beliefs aside and focusing on the world, along with frustration and disappointment in finding work to support himself, has taken its toll.
### has turned to marijuana, spice, and heroin as his escape. In doing this, he has returned to his old ways of lying, stealing, manipulating, and abusing his family and friends in order to get his next fix. The enemy currently has a very strong hold on him to the point that the person we are dealing with is not ### anymore. We feel that he is close to physical death whether it is from an overdose or by suicide. We believe that ### was sincere when he accepted Christ into his heart and if God takes him then that is His will. We understand that we are not fighting with ### but the enemy. Proof of this is the fact that ### does not even want to hear about God right now.
I would ask that you pray for:
1. God to restore him and free him from his addictions and these unrelenting attacks by the enemy.
2. God to give him a new passion and desire to follow Him.
3. God to give peace and comfort to ### (###’s mom) as this situation has been a great burden on her.
My wife has lost all hope as well as other family members. Knowing that nothing on this earth can change him… Please help me in praying that God would demonstrate His power and grace and perform a miracle in this situation. I also pray that it would touch others and bring them closer to Christ. Above all, may His will be done.
Thank you for your time and prayers.
Sincerely,
### (###’s Stepfather)
