Please pray for strength n focus for our son ### so he can do his job well at work and also sleep at night. Thank you for also pray for God’s blessings on the family . Thank you ###

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your son and his family during this painful season of divorce. The Word of God tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We pray that your son would feel the nearness of God in this time of sorrow and upheaval, that the Lord would be his refuge and strength.

Father, we ask that You grant him the strength and focus he needs to perform his duties at work with excellence, even as his heart is burdened. May You sustain him with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We also pray for restful sleep, Lord, for we know that You give Your beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). Calm his anxious thoughts, quiet his mind, and let him find true rest in You.

We also lift up the entire family, asking for Your blessings to cover them. Divorce brings deep wounds, and we pray that You would begin the work of healing in each heart. Help them to lean on You, Lord, for You are the God who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). May they find comfort in Your Word and in the fellowship of believers who can walk alongside them in love and truth.

We must also speak plainly about the seriousness of divorce. Scripture is clear that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), not because He delights in our suffering, but because He designed marriage to reflect the covenant love between Christ and His Church, a lifelong, sacred commitment (Ephesians 5:31-32). We do not know the circumstances that led to this decision, but we pray that if there is any possibility of reconciliation, You would soften hearts, bring repentance, and restore what has been broken. If reconciliation is not possible, we ask that You would guide them through this process with wisdom, grace, and a commitment to honoring You in all things.

Lord, we pray that Your will would be done in this family. May they seek You above all else, turning to Your Word for guidance and strength. We ask that You would protect their faith, especially if there are children involved, that they would not be led astray but would come to know You as their Savior and Lord. Help them to forgive one another, as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13), and to walk in the light of Your truth.

We also lift up your son’s spiritual walk during this time. It is easy to become distracted or disillusioned when life does not go as planned, but we pray that he would draw nearer to You, not farther away. Remind him that You are his ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1) and that nothing can separate him from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). May he find his identity and worth in Christ alone, not in his marital status or circumstances.

Father, we ask that You would surround this family with godly counsel and support. Bring believers into their lives who can speak truth in love, encourage them in their faith, and help them navigate this difficult season. May they not isolate themselves but instead find strength in the body of Christ.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we have access to Your throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We trust in Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your perfect plan for this family, even when we cannot see it. Strengthen their faith, Lord, and let them experience Your peace that passes all understanding. Amen.

We are holding your son and his family up with you in this painful season. Divorce is a profound loss, like a death in many ways, and the weight of it often spills into our work and our nights. It is no surprise that focus feels scattered and sleep comes hard, this is a grief that runs deep, and your son’s body and mind are bearing the strain.

You specifically asked for strength and focus on the job, and for sleep. We are asking the Lord to steady him through each workday, giving him clarity when his thoughts want to drift and enough energy to meet his responsibilities. For the sleeplessness, we’ve seen how simple things can sometimes help a weary heart settle at night. If he hasn’t already, he might consider touching base with a doctor to rule out anything physical, prolonged stress can disrupt our bodies in surprising ways. At the same time, playing a quiet playlist of hymns or instrumental Christian music as he lies down can gently anchor his racing mind without demanding his attention. Many have found that the familiar truths in those melodies work their way into our rest when words fail.

Also, he doesn’t have to walk this alone. A trusted friend, a pastor, or someone who has come through a similar valley can offer a listening ear without judgment. Sharing the load, even a little, can make the nights feel less isolating.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son to You. Hold him steady in his work, and when he lays his head down, quiet the turmoil inside and give him the deep rest his body craves. We also ask for Your tender mercy on this whole family, meet each of them in their own hurts and supply what You know they need most. In this hard place, be their shelter and their guide. Amen.

Lord Yeshuas love. Tender loving mercies and kindness. Obedience and prayer. Gods love. Abstinence and sobriety. Heavenly Fathers name amen.

It is a heavy trial indeed when the covenant of marriage, which should be a picture of Christ and His Church, is rent asunder. The Lord has declared, "I hate divorce," and we dare not bless what He has cursed, nor call that union which He has severed. Yet we may, with all tenderness, pray for strength and help for your son in this dark hour.

The strength he needs for his daily labour will not come from himself; all strength apart from God is derived and measurable, and must come to an end. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. Let him therefore cry to God for might, not a fussy, frantic energy that exhausts itself, but that quiet, calm strength which is the gift of the Most High. It is not to his credit that he should be weak; the glory of a man is his strength, and especially his spiritual strength. When a man learns to work with God's strength alone, he can do all things. Let look away from his own powers and abandon self-reliance entirely, laying hold on the Divine might. So shall his work be done to a nobler tune, with more expectancy and faith.

As for sleep, it is a gift which the Lord giveth to His beloved. There is a sleep of security, a sleep of contentment, which the Christian may know even in the furnace of affliction. If the soul is stayed upon Jesus Christ, then though the night be long, peace may come. But remember, there is also a sleep that is forbidden, a slumber like that of the sluggard in the Proverbs, who cried, "A little more sleep, a little more slumber." In times of sorrow and temptation, we are warned, "Let us not sleep, as do others." Many a child of God has found his strength ebbing away, as Samson's did, while he slept in Delilah's lap. Let your son watch and pray, lest the weariness of his trial be mistaken for the sleep of security, and so his soul suffer loss. Ask the Lord not merely for natural rest, but for that holy composure which comes from rolling every burden upon the great Burden-bearer.

It is a thing greatly to be desired that he should be strengthened, for then he is prepared to do the Lord's work effectually, even in the midst of this storm. The Divine grace that works in him does not lull him into sloth; where the Holy Spirit works, He makes men work. So let be up and doing, yet knowing that his labour is not his own. The weary limbs of the body may find rest, but the soul must never sleep its way to glory. There is a sleep of death, too, a blessed rest that remains for the people of God, but while we are in the field, the wolves are howling, and the powers of evil never suspend their activities. Watch therefore with holy vigilance.

Bear this in mind: the Lord is the glory of our strength. Every particle of power, mental or physical, comes from Him. Have we not learned to say, "Thou art the glory of their strength"? Let us not foolishly imagine that we can of ourselves withstand this torrent. While he is yet without strength, let him believe that Christ died for the ungodly. That is the one foundation. Cast the soul wholly upon the finished work of Jesus, and then out of that living union will flow strength for each day's duty and rest for each night's weariness.

We will join with you in praying that God would uphold , that he may do his work faithfully and find nightly repose, not as the world gives, but as Jesus gives. We will pray that all the family would bow beneath the mighty hand of God, seeking His face and His salvation. And may none of us presume to bless what His Word condemns, but rather seek that mercy which heals every breach and restores the soul.

Father,

We lift up this son to You. Grant him strength and focus to do his work well, and give him peaceful rest each night. Calm his mind and renew his energy. We also ask for Your abundant blessings to rest upon this entire family—guide them, protect them, and fill their home with Your peace and joy.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
