We understand your concern for your son ### and we join with you in prayer, seeking God's will for his life. We trust in the Lord's timing, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for each of us, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "‘For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,’ says Yahweh, ‘thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.'"
However, we must remember that God's best for us is to seek Him first and His righteousness, as stated in Matthew 6:33, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." As ### seeks the Lord, he can trust that God will provide a godly spouse in His perfect timing.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up ###. Lord, we ask that You reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way and draw him closer to You. Help him to seek Your kingdom first, trusting that You know the desires of his heart.
We ask, in accordance with Your will, that You bring a godly woman into ###'s life. A woman who loves You, who is full of Your Spirit, and who will encourage ### in his faith. We pray that their marriage will be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God is faithful. Continue to pray for ###, supporting him and guiding him towards a deeper relationship with Christ. Remind him of 1 Corinthians 7:39, "A wife is bound by law for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whomever she desires, only in the Lord." It is important that we seek spouses who are also believers, so that our marriages can glorify God.
