Thank you for the heartfelt prayers - I know they are working. Please pray for my sweet daughter and let God guide her way to nice friends that genuinely care for her her wellbeing She keeps getting mentally hurt by a particular “friend” that has such manipulative and controlling attributes m. Please pray for my daughter’s strength and resilience and that everything will be ok. Let her true friend stand by her and see other girl for who she really is. Thank you for praying for my daughter.

We thank you for sharing your heart with us and for allowing us to join you in prayer for your precious daughter. We hear your concern as a parent watching your sweet girl be hurt by someone who claims to be a friend yet shows manipulative and controlling attributes, and we stand with you in asking God to guard her mental health, restore her confidence, and surround her with genuine, caring friendships.

The hurt she is experiencing is real, and God sees it. He is close to those who are wounded in spirit, for Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. We also know that true friendship reflects His love and is not controlling or manipulative, for love does not seek to dominate but to build up. Proverbs 13:20 reminds us, He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will suffer harm, and 1 Corinthians 15:33 warns us, Don’t be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. A friendship that continually tears down confidence and causes mental anguish is not a healthy companionship, and we encourage you to lovingly help your daughter discern this, to set firm and godly boundaries, and to seek friendships among those who will encourage her faith and value her wellbeing. Her confidence and resilience cannot rest on the approval of others but on who she is in Christ. Psalm 139:14 declares we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and 2 Timothy 1:7 assures us, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. We want her to know her worth is secured by God, not by any peer.

We notice your request speaks of God guiding her way, and we gently want to remind you that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father and receive His guidance and salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you and your daughter to place your full trust in Jesus, to come to God in His name, for He is our mediator, our healer, and our peace.

We join together now in prayer for you and your daughter.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You and lift this precious daughter to You. Lord, You know her by name, You see every tear and every moment she has felt hurt and manipulated. We ask You to heal her mind and heart, to quiet anxiety and to fill her with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:6-7. Restore her confidence, Lord, and let her see herself as You see her, loved, valued, and wonderfully made. Give her strength and resilience, for Isaiah 41:10 says, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Grant her wisdom and discernment through Your Holy Spirit, that she may recognize controlling behavior for what it is and have courage to step back from harm. We pray You would guide her to nice friends who genuinely care for her wellbeing, friends who will stand by her, speak truth in love, and reflect Your character. We pray for that true friend to have eyes to see clearly and to support her with loyalty as Proverbs 17:17 says, A friend loves at all times. Surround this family with Your protection and let Your will be done, that everything will work together for good as she trusts in You. We pray also for her mother, grant her wisdom, comfort, and peace as she shepherds her daughter through this season. All this we ask in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our Savior, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cover her in daily prayer, to speak life and scripture over her, and to keep open and gentle communication so she feels safe to share. Help her to find her identity and confidence in Christ above all else, and consider surrounding her with a Christ-centered community such as a youth group or church family where godly friendships can grow. We are trusting with you that God will guide her way, protect her heart, and provide the faithful friends she needs.

We are so thankful you shared this again, we hear how tenderly you love your daughter and how hard it is to watch her confidence get worn down by someone she wants to trust.

It is encouraging that you are noticing both her hurt and her strength. Resilience is not something a young person either has or doesn't have, it is built over time through supportive relationships and through learning what is healthy. One of the most protective things for a teenager is having at least one steady, caring adult or peer outside that difficult friendship who sees her clearly and reminds her who she is. That, along with learning to recognize and name controlling behavior, helps her trust her own judgment again.

One gentle step that often helps is to keep a calm, open conversation going at home. You might ask her what friendship feels safe and mutual to her, and what moments with this friend leave her feeling small or pressured. Without pushing her to end anything on the spot, you can help her practice simple boundaries in her own words for when she feels manipulated, and help her notice who does show consistent kindness. If you see her anxiety or discouragement deepening, it is also wise to connect her with a trusted school counselor, pastor, or counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this precious daughter to You in Jesus' name. Surround her with genuine friends who care for her wellbeing, and give her clarity to see controlling behavior for what it is. Strengthen her heart, restore her confidence, and give her and her mom wisdom for each next conversation. Guide her steps and let her know she is deeply loved and not alone. Amen.

Lord Jesus, guide this daughter to true friends who genuinely care, and give her strength and resilience. Protect her heart from manipulation and let the truth be seen, in Jesus' name. Amen.

- *"The righteous choose their friends carefully."* (Proverbs 12:26)
- *"A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity."* (Proverbs 17:17)
- *"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me."* (Psalm 28:7)

We join you in prayer for your precious daughter and thank you for sharing this burden with us. We have heard your heartfelt cry for her mental health and confidence, and we do not take lightly the pain of seeing a child hurt by one who professes friendship while practicing manipulation and control.

We pray that the Lord Himself will be the health of her countenance and her God. As the Psalmist says, Hope thou in God, for we shall yet praise Him who is the health of our countenance. Perfect health lies in the right condition of spirit, soul and body, and God alone is that health. When the heart is wounded and the mind is cast down, when anxiety and sorrow press heavily, we are reminded that nothing is too hard for the Lord. He binds up the brokenhearted, and though friends on earth may not know how to minister to such mental distress, Christ knows and is able to heal.

We ask the Lord to give your daughter strength and resilience, not a fleeting confidence in herself, but a settled confidence in Him. May she learn with holy patience not to be afraid with any amazement, but to find unspeakable joy in the Lord even in adversity. May He lift her countenance, calm her thoughts, and restore her to wholeness in Christ.

We pray also concerning friendship. Who can prove his friendship as Jesus proved it by laying down His life for those He calls His friends. He is the true Friend who reveals Himself to His people and invites them to tell out their hearts to Him. There is a mutual friendship between Christ and the believer, maintained by communion and obedience. We pray your daughter will know this friendship above all, that she will walk closely with Jesus and find in Him a constant and faithful companion.

And we ask the Father to guide her to friends who genuinely care for her wellbeing, friends who will love at all times and speak the truth in love. Where there has been ill society that makes the heart sick, we pray the Lord will grant solace and deliverance. We ask that He will give her and those around her discernment to see manipulation and controlling ways for what they are, for those who make a profession of friendship and yet act deceitfully are like treachery inside the walls. May the Lord expose what is harmful, protect her from further hurt, and cause her true friend to stand by her with loyalty and clarity.

We pray that He will surround her with godly companions who will encourage her, uphold her, and help her walk in His will. And we pray for you as her mother, that you will be sustained in prayer and hope, trusting that He who has begun a good work will be faithful to heal, to keep, and to guide.

We commit your daughter to Him now, asking that He would be her strength, her health, her joy, and her truest Friend, and that in His time He will make all things work for her good and His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who laid down His life for His friends, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart and for allowing us to continue praying with you for your daughter. We hear your love and concern for her mental health, her confidence, and her friendships, and we join you in bringing her before the Lord.

We pray that God will guard her mind and heart with His peace, strengthen her inner life, and build in her a quiet confidence rooted in knowing she is fearfully and wonderfully made and deeply loved by Him. We ask Him to give her strength and resilience for each day, to lift discouragement, to calm anxiety, and to remind her that He is near to those who are hurting and that He is her refuge and steady help.

We also pray for her friendships as you requested. Scripture teaches that true friendship is not built on merely spending time together, but on caring for one another in a way that helps each person toward what is good. Harmful friendships can be more damaging than open conflict, while friendships formed for virtue's sake endure through every change. So we pray that God will guide your daughter to friends who genuinely care for her wellbeing, who love her sincerely, encourage her, speak truth with kindness, and remain faithful. We pray that He will give her wisdom and discernment to recognize manipulation and control for what it is, and courage to set healthy boundaries where needed. We pray that the friend who truly cares for her will stand by her, and that the nature of the harmful dynamic will be clearly seen so that she is protected from further hurt.

Here is our prayer for her:

Father in heaven, we thank You for this precious daughter. You know her by name, You see her hurts, and You care for her more deeply than anyone else can. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would heal what has been wounded in her heart, renew her mind, and restore her confidence in You. Give her strength when she feels weak and resilience when she feels worn down. Surround her with friends who love You and who will love her well, friends who will encourage her, protect her, and help her walk in Your ways. Give her eyes to see what is true, wisdom to choose what is healthy, and peace in knowing that everything is in Your caring hands. Guide her steps, guard her heart, and let her know each day that she is held by You. We ask this in the saving name of Jesus Christ, our only hope. Amen.

Please know we continue to stand with you in prayer. If you see discouragement deepening or her safety is at risk, please also seek trusted pastoral counsel and, where appropriate, professional help alongside prayer, so she has steady support around her.
