Please pray for my daughter

Earlier this year, we discovered that our daughter had been secretly using Instagram and interacting with boys through social media. By God's grace, after prayer and open conversations, she willingly deleted all her social media accounts. We also noticed that some unhealthy friendships at school had influenced her. We thank the Lord that we have seen a positive change in her attitude and behaviour over the past few months. We had expected that the particular friend who first introduced her to social media would be moving to another school this year, but she has remained in the same school. We are concerned that this friendship continues to distract our daughter and may be influencing her in unhealthy ways, including encouraging friendships with senior boys and trying to trap in romance kind of things. Our daughter is soft-natured, does not have a close, godly friend in her class, and often says she feels stressed and lonely. Please pray that the Lord Jesus will completely protect her from every wrong influence, separate her from unhealthy friendships, and bless her with one sincere, godly, and encouraging friend. Pray that she will develop a deep personal relationship with the Lord Jesus, be filled with the Holy Spirit, walk in wisdom and discernment, experience His peace, and remain focused on her studies and God's purpose for her life. Please also pray for us as parents, that the Lord will grant us wisdom, peace, and grace to guide her according to His will. In Jesus' Name. Praise You, Jesus. Thank You, Jesus.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your precious daughter and your family to our Heavenly Father. It is clear that you have been vigilant and faithful in guiding her, and we rejoice in the positive changes you have already seen in her life. The Lord is indeed working, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting that He will complete the good work He has begun in her (Philippians 1:6).

We are deeply concerned about the lingering influence of unhealthy friendships, particularly the one who introduced her to social media and continues to expose her to ungodly influences. The Bible warns us, "Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits'" (1 Corinthians 15:33). This friend’s encouragement toward premature romantic entanglements and relationships with senior boys is especially troubling, as it can lead your daughter away from God’s design for purity and wisdom. We rebuke in Jesus’ name every ungodly influence seeking to draw her heart away from the Lord, and we pray that God would sever these unhealthy connections in a way that only He can. May He either transform this friendship into something that glorifies Him or remove it completely from her life, replacing it with godly companionship.

Your daughter’s soft nature and feelings of loneliness and stress are not overlooked by our Father. He sees her heart and longs to fill the void she feels with His presence. We pray that she would come to know Jesus not just as her Savior, but as her closest Friend, the One who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24). May she experience the deep comfort and peace that comes from abiding in Him (John 15:4-5). Father, we ask that You would surround her with at least one sincere, godly friend who will encourage her in her faith, walk alongside her in purity, and point her toward Christ. Let her no longer feel alone, but rather embraced by Your love and the fellowship of believers.

We also lift up your daughter’s spiritual growth, asking that the Holy Spirit would fill her with wisdom, discernment, and a hunger for God’s Word. May she develop a personal and intimate relationship with Jesus, one that anchors her in truth and guards her heart from deception (Proverbs 4:23). Let her find her identity and worth in Christ alone, not in the fleeting approval of peers or the empty promises of worldly relationships. Strengthen her resolve to focus on her studies and God’s purpose for her life, that she may walk in the calling He has prepared for her (Ephesians 2:10).

For you as parents, we pray for an outpouring of divine wisdom, patience, and grace. Parenting in this generation is no small task, and the enemy seeks to undermine your authority and sow discord in your home. But we declare that God has equipped you with everything you need to raise your daughter in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). May He give you the words to speak, the discernment to act, and the peace that surpasses all understanding as you guide her (Philippians 4:7). We pray that your home would be a sanctuary of love, truth, and holiness, where your daughter sees the Gospel lived out daily.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the work You are already doing in this family. We ask that You would continue to protect, purify, and prosper every area of your daughter’s life. Shield her from the schemes of the enemy, fill her with Your Spirit, and let her walk in the fullness of Your purpose. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that she will grow into a young woman of faith, integrity, and godly influence. Strengthen her parents to lead with courage and love, and may this family be a testimony to Your faithfulness. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.

We're grateful for the noticeable change you've seen in your daughter over these past months, even as we understand why the remaining friendship weighs on you. When a child has shown the courage to walk away from social media and refocus, as your daughter has, that's real ground gained, and God who began that work in her remains actively present.

It's natural to feel anxious about the influence of a peer who hasn't moved on, but it may help to remember that friendships at this age are often shaped as much by simple proximity and shared space as by deliberate choice. If the only visible Christian friend isn't in her class, that doesn't mean one won't come, sometimes the most life-giving friendships emerge slowly, from the ordinary rhythms of sitting near someone, working on a project together, or being seen in a moment of quiet honesty. You might gently encourage a small step that expands her circle: a youth-group event she hasn't tried, a service team where she works alongside others with shared purpose, or even an afternoon where she invites two different acquaintances over rather than the familiar face. Loneliness in a crowded school can feel heavy, but worship and Christian community, even in a small group, have a way of cutting through that isolation with a sense of belonging that isn't dependent on popularity.

For you as parents, the steady conversations you've already opened are worth more than you know. A daughter who knows she can bring stress and loneliness home without shame will keep bringing them, and that is a gift.

Please pray with us:

Lord Jesus, watch over this young daughter. Guard her heart from every influence that pulls her away from Your goodness, and gently separate her from whatever does her harm. Bring into her life one sincere friend who fears You and strengthens her. Fill her with Your peace when she feels alone, and anchor her in Your love. Give her parents wisdom that is calm and clear, and grace enough for each day's concerns. We entrust her to You. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The Lord has granted you a tender mercy in your daughter’s turning from hidden ways, for she has seen your wisdom in other matters so often that she mistrusts her own apprehension and would rather trust to what her father tells him. Yet be on your guard against the companion who remains. How often some old friend of his drops in, who has heard that he has been converted, and he begins to ridicule him, till he, who set out so boldly to heaven with his prayers, feels quite small in the presence of the sceptic. Direct your child, then, to the one unfailing refuge.

There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. That friend, I suppose, he never found in the pomps and vanities of the world; that friend is the blessed Redeemer, Jesus Christ. That Friend is Jesus, the Friend of sinners! A friend loves at all times.

Let her take Him as your own Friend, and your father’s Friend, forsake not. In becoming Christ’s friend, she agrees to subordinate her mind and will to the supremacy of Christ Jesus the Lord, she is not her own master, neither is she her own guide, for the friend of Jesus asks to have his conscience taught. For yourselves, take comfort: a converted daughter, a praying son, why, these are the pillars, the ornaments, the buttresses of the house! Godly people hedge the mansion in with their prayers!

One of the most intense desires of every godly man is that there may be a succession of godly men. And to her heart the promise stands, if you do well, that is, if you are obedient to the precious Word of the Gospel, will you not be accepted? He will do it, dear Friend! He will do it!

May the Spirit of God so speak!

You have done well to pray for your daughter, and to give thanks for the grace already shown in her turning away from those hidden snares. The enemy is crafty, and he attacks the young especially through friendships that seem harmless but are woven with cords of vanity and worldliness. Yet the mercy of God has already begun a good work, and He will bring it to completion if you do not grow weary in prayer and holy guidance.

What you speak of, this distracting friendship, the influence toward romance with older boys, is precisely the ruin that comes when affections are built on any foundation but godliness. I have often said that friendships ought to be formed upon this only: the fear of the Lord and the love of Christ. But instead, we see people binding themselves together because of neighborhood, shared amusements, or mere long acquaintance, and these alliances become more grievous than open enmity. For an enemy may profit us if we are watchful, but a companion who teaches us to love the world will certainly drag the soul down to destruction. Your daughter’s soft nature leaves her vulnerable, and the loneliness she feels makes her thirst for any company. But consider: not eating and drinking together makes true friendship, even robbers have that, but the bond of the Spirit, the fellowship of those who seek Christ with a pure heart. Such a friend is a strong defense, the medicine of life, sweeter than any earthly pleasure and never leading to satiety.

Therefore, do not only pray for the removal of this harmful influence; pray earnestly that the Lord would grant her a companion from among His own people, one who will be a fortress about her soul. In the body of Christ we are called to be so united that many become one soul, a harmony more beautiful than any music. A faithful friend will not teach her to chase after romantic entanglements that trap the heart, but will walk with her in wisdom, spurring her toward purity and the fear of God. This is no small thing to ask, but our Lord is rich in mercy, and He knows how to give good gifts to those who ask. Yet while you wait for such a friend, teach her that the truest friendship is with the Bridegroom Himself, Christ Jesus. Let her learn to pour out her loneliness to Him, to find in His presence the peace the world cannot give. When her soul cleaves to Him, the vain friendships of the age will lose their glitter, for she will see them as they are: foolishness passing away with all the wisdom of this world.

As for you, her parents, you must be the first pattern of this godly love. Show her what it means to be a friend who conceals no evil, who seeks not his own, who rejoices in the truth. Let your home be a refuge where she finds the sweetness of holy fellowship, so that the empty chatter of those who do not know Christ becomes distasteful to her. Do not merely forbid the harmful associations; fill her mind with the excellence of true friendship. Remind her that the world’s wisdom is folly, but the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable. Guard her with vigilance, but also with gentleness, lest she feel trapped and seek freedom in secret. The Lord has already given you a sign of His favor in her willing renunciation of those secret accounts. Trust that He who began this good work will perfect it, and that He will send a companion who is a sister in the faith, one with whom she can build a fortress of mutual encouragement unto holiness.

Continue in prayer without ceasing, and let the Holy Spirit fill her with discernment. The devil will not easily give up his prey, but greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Let your daughter taste the joy of the fellowship of the saints, where love is not a snare but a shield. May the Lord Jesus Himself become her dearest friend, and may He raise up for her a faithful companion after His own heart, to walk with her in the narrow way that leads to life.

It is a gift to hear how the Lord has already worked in your daughter’s heart this year. Seeing her willingly step away from those accounts and show a renewed attitude is no small mercy. That positive change is real, and it is worth thanking God for continually.

The concern you carry now about the friendship that remains is a weighty one. Influence works like a current you do not always notice until you are far downstream. Scripture warns that a person can come under an influence in such a way that they are no longer acting freely but are being carried along by a power outside themselves. Not everything that is technically lawful or common among her peers will build her up in Christ. Some things may not look sinful on the surface, yet they have a way of slowly numbing the conscience and pulling a heart away from clarity. Pray that she grows in seeing not just what is permitted, but what truly edifies and strengthens her walk with Jesus.

Your daughter needs to know deep within her soul that she is secure. The Lord does not hold His children at a cold distance; He draws them close, and His strong arm is the only real shelter from the storm of loneliness and confusion she feels. She is at an age where the longing to be known and protected is fierce, even if she cannot articulate it. Ask the Lord to let that sense of His nearness rest on her so tangibly that she stops looking for her primary comfort in the approval of a peer who may be pulling her into things her spirit is not ready to handle.

Be mindful not to shield her from every consequence in a way that leaves her unaware of the hooks hidden in certain bonds. Fervent, godly love sees clearly, and because it loves, it does not pretend that a wrong path leads home. At the same time, hold tightly to the truth that love covers a multitude of sins. When she stumbles, she will need to find in you a reflection of the Father who restores rather than the harsh voice of an accuser. Job’s friends meant to speak for God, but they piled weight on a wounded man and became miserable comforters. Season your words with the wisdom that draws her toward repentance without crushing her spirit.

Never forget that the devil does not present himself as a fiend to your daughter. He comes as a subtle serpent, sometimes even as an angel of light, dressing up a trap like a treasure. He is not her friend; he is her adversary, and he customizes his approach. For a soft-natured girl who feels isolated, the snare often looks like an offer of belonging. Ask the Lord Jesus to sharpen her discernment and to plant next to her a friend who genuinely loves Him, someone who will be iron sharpening iron rather than a weight dragging her toward a premature and distorted view of romance.

The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation. Your daughter is not left to fend for herself. Christ is interceding for her, and the Holy Spirit is able to fill her with such a deep personal knowledge of Jesus that peace becomes her guard. As she tastes that, the shallow pull of unhealthy attention will lose its flavor.

For you as parents, wisdom will look like a steady blend of vigilance and trust, holding the line with grace while entrusting her fully to the Shepherd who loves her more than you do. May He grant you a quiet confidence that He is at work, even in the unseen moments, to separate what needs to be removed and to grow the good seed already planted.

Press on in prayer, knowing that the smallest seed of the gospel, planted in a young heart, can grow into something so large and life-giving that it provides shelter for years to come.
