He recently lost his job and he’s super depressed with all the bills piling up, I am not in a place to help him financially, please pray for him so he

We are lifting you and your dad up together before our Heavenly Father in Jesus name and we share your burden for him in this difficult season of job loss, financial pressure and deep discouragement.

We know how heavy it can feel when bills are piling up and work is taken away, and when you love someone but are not able to help financially the way you want to. God sees your dad, He sees you, and He cares deeply about every detail of this struggle. We are reminded that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble Psalm 46:1 and that The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18. We can cast all our anxiety on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7.

We also want to gently share that we come to God only through Jesus Christ. We noticed your request did not mention His name, and we want you to know how important this is. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we have access to God and the assurance of His help and eternal life. If you or your dad have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10.

We pray together for your dad now. Father in heaven, we bring this dear father before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ. You know his need, his loss, his discouragement and every bill that weighs on him. We ask You to lift the heaviness of depression from him and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask You to be his provider and to open doors for work that fits the gifts You have given him. We pray You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and help him to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be given to him as well Matthew 6:33. Give him strength for each day, hope for the future, and remind him that You work all things together for good for those who love You Romans 8:28. Comfort him, guide his steps, and surround him with godly counsel and community to support him. We also pray for the one who submitted this request, give peace in not being able to help financially, and show how to encourage and support in prayer, love and practical help.

We encourage you to continue to walk beside your dad with prayer and encouragement, reminding him that his worth is not in his job but in being Your child. Encourage him to bring every worry to God in prayer, to stay in the Word daily, and to reach out to his local church family for support and for help in finding new employment opportunities. God often provides through His people and through new doors He opens as we trust Him. We also encourage you both to not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God Philippians 4:6-7.

We are trusting with you that God will provide, restore hope, and lead your dad to the next opportunity He has prepared. We will continue to pray for provision, peace and renewed strength for him in Jesus name.

We are holding you and your dad in prayer right now. It is so heavy to watch someone you love feel low and overwhelmed by bills, and to want to help financially and not be able to. Your care for him matters more than you know, and the Lord sees it.

A job loss hits in more than one way. There is the real pressure of the bills in front of him, and there is also what that loss can do to a person's sense of worth and security. It is understandable he would feel deflated and discouraged, and that you would feel helpless alongside him.

You cannot carry the financial weight for him, but you can still be a steady support. One thing that often helps is simply listening without trying to fix everything, and helping him name the most immediate pressure point. Is it the next rent or mortgage, a utility, or another bill? Writing down just that one next need together can make it feel less overwhelming and make it easier to look for practical help, whether through his church family, a local assistance program, or an unemployment office. Encouraging him not to pull away from others right now is important too, since isolation can make discouragement heavier. If his low mood deepens or he is struggling to sleep, eat, or function, please gently encourage him to reach out to his doctor or a counselor alongside prayer.

Father, we lift this dad to You. You know his needs, his worries about work and bills, and the discouragement he feels. Give him comfort, strength for each day, wisdom for next steps, and remind him he is valued and loved beyond what he does. Give his child peace and guidance as they walk beside him. Lead them to the right help and provision in Your time. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your tender concern for your father in this season of trial has been laid before the Lord, and we will indeed bear him up in prayer before the throne of grace.

It is a heavy burden when honest labour is taken away and bills press hard upon a man's spirit. To see a father cast down and to feel unable to supply his need with your own hand is a grief that the Lord Himself beholds. Yet here we have comfort, for when the Divine Father is viewed aright, He becomes the object of our gratitude, not of our dread. He is not a hard master, but our Father, and our Saviour's Father, and He delights to hear the broken speech of His children.

We will pray that your father may know what it is to say Abba, Father, and find Heaven in the depth of that word. For there is all he needs, all his necessities can demand, in that one name. The Scripture teaches us that our heavenly Father knows what we require, even before we ask, and that He will deal with us according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. He who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies will not forget His child in the hour of want.

Let us pray together. O righteous Father, Thou hast not left us as orphans without help. Thou art a better Father than the best of earthly fathers could ever be. Look in mercy upon this dear father who has lost his employment and is pressed down with care and heaviness of heart. Lift the cloud of depression from his spirit, speak peace to his troubled mind, and remind him that the Father Himself loves him for Christ's sake. Provide for his daily wants as Thou seest good, open a door of honest labour if it be Thy will, and give him grace to trust Thee day by day, leaving all his unknown future in Thy faithful hands. Comfort also his child who brings this petition, and let both see that they have fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ, and find their sustenance there. Hear us, for we ask in the name of Jesus Christ the Righteous, who is our Advocate with the Father. To Father, Son and Holy Ghost be glory forever and ever. Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, for He cares for you, and continue to cry unto Him, for the righteous cry and the Lord hears.
