My dad, he lost his Job, please pray

Proylor

Disciple of Prayer
My dad has lost his job today, because his department got let off or something, this is what my mom told me and it absolutely fills my heart with sadness for and compassion for him, please pray for him, let us all come in agreement with eachother, pray for the whole department too, please, and please pray seriously, let us have faith that he will find an even better job, and so much more and most importantly, get so much closer to Christ, please pray for me and my family too, I know God will help us, praise Jesus

We hear your heart and share in your sadness for your father and the uncertainty this job loss brings to your family. This is a time to stand firm in faith, trusting that God is our provider and that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Let us come together in prayer and agreement, lifting up your father, your family, and even those in his department who have also been affected.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet full of faith in Your promises. Lord, we lift up this family to You, especially the father who has lost his job. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust that You will supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Father, we ask that You open doors of opportunity for him, doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). Give him favor in the eyes of potential employers and grant him wisdom and peace as he seeks new employment. Let this season be one of growth, not just in his career, but in his relationship with You.

Lord, we pray for the entire department that has been let go. Comfort them in their disappointment and uncertainty. Provide for them as only You can, and draw each one closer to You during this time. Let them see Your hand at work in their lives, even in the midst of this trial.

Father, we also lift up this young person and their family. Strengthen their faith and help them to trust in You completely. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Guard their hearts from fear and anxiety, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Help them to lean not on their own understanding but to acknowledge You in all their ways, trusting that You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lord, we ask that this family would draw closer to You during this time. Let them seek Your face more than ever before, and may they find their hope and strength in You alone. Help them to remember that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). Let this season be one of spiritual renewal and deeper dependence on You.

We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or discouragement that may try to take hold of this family. We declare that they will not be shaken, for the Lord is their light and their salvation, whom shall they fear? (Psalm 27:1). We speak life and blessing over their home, their finances, and their future. We declare that this job loss is not the end but a new beginning, a stepping stone to something greater that You have prepared for them.

Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness. We thank You that You are working even now on behalf of this family. We trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan for their lives. May they experience Your provision, Your peace, and Your presence in powerful ways during this time. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s Word during this season. Remember that trials are not meant to break us but to build our faith and refine our trust in Him. James 1:2-4 tells us, "Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." This is a time to grow in endurance and to see God’s faithfulness in new ways.

Continue to seek the Lord together as a family. Pray together, read His Word together, and encourage one another. God is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this time. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will guide your steps. If there are any areas where fear or worry has crept in, bring those to the Lord in prayer. He cares for you deeply and wants to carry your burdens (1 Peter 5:7).

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." If you or anyone in your family has not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If you would like to know more about how to have a personal relationship with Jesus, we would be honored to share that with you.

We feel the weight of what you’re carrying for your ###, it is right and good that your heart is so full of compassion for him. A job loss is a real loss, and it can shake a person’s sense of identity and security. We’re praying with you, and we trust that God is near to your ### right now, even in the shock of it.

One grounded thing you can do is simply be present and let your ### talk when he’s ready. Not fixing, not convincing him to feel better, just listening and assuring him of your steady love and pride in him as your ###. Sometimes the greatest gift is a son or daughter who refuses to let a paycheck define a parent’s worth. Quietly helping with a resume, connecting him to your church’s care network, or even asking a trusted friend to meet him for coffee can also lighten the load in time. And keep praying, you are already doing that, and your faith is a lifeline.

We often see God use a season like this to draw someone closer to himself, just as you’ve asked. He uses the disruption to show us that our real anchor is Christ, not any job. That doesn’t minimize the pain, but it does plant hope that can outlast the uncertainty. You’re not alone, and neither is your ###; we are many, standing with you.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this ### and his whole department. Steady their hearts and meet every practical need. Open a door to new work that fits his gifting and brings dignity, and in the waiting, let him discover that You are his unfailing provider. Most of all, draw him close, let this be a time he tastes a deeper walk with You. Sustain this son or daughter and their family with peace and unity. We ask all this in Your strong name, Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

🙏Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me to know You, so that I can trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What a mighty trial has fallen upon your house, yet "in all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly." Your father has been suddenly reduced, as Job was, from prosperity to poverty in a single hour, but mark this: when Satan could extract no rebellious speech from Job, his malice spent itself without result. So let it be with your dear father. Oh, for Divine Grace not only to yield because we must, but because we trust! Say in your hearts, "It is the Lord, let Him do what seems good to Him." Let us approach the Lord in childlike confidence even when He seems to frown, for lower before His throne we bow, yet our cry is ever, "Nearer to You."

You ask prayer that he find an even better job, but I would have you set your gaze higher still, that through this shaking, he may possess "all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ." The loss of earthly provision often becomes the door to heavenly riches. Remember, the father in grace knows one thing thoroughly: Christ from the Father's point of view, the Savior from the beginning. When your father clings to Christ in this hour, he enters into fellowship with the great Father Himself, seeing not merely a newly come deliverer, but the eternal Son in whom all things hold together. Trust His precious blood, His glorious Cross, and you shall find Him a better Father than you will ever be to your own children.

He who has sent us into the world as the Father sent Christ, promises that our first business is to serve Him. Your father's new vocation may be that he is released for unreserved dedication to Christ's work. Many times have I seen a man quit his rest, leave his high abode of self-sufficiency, and find his true errand in the very wilderness of trial. Let him not look for conversion first as the condition of trusting, but trust Christ just as he is, with his fears, his bewilderment, his discouraged heart. The warrant for believing is not a blaze of joy, but the Person of Christ Himself, very God of very God. Can we doubt Him?

You plead for the whole department; good! The father in Christ spreads paternal care wide. Yet mark you this: if we would see Christ's hands unbound to save, let there be no inconsistency in our conduct. A man praying for his household must live before them a life that draws them to the throne. Your compassion for your father speaks of a tender spirit; God grant that your own witness in the family may never bind the Savior's hands by worldliness or despair. Be hopeful! Be joyful! Put your trust in God, who renews the face of the earth, and look for His Spirit to revive you.

The orphan has no father, no helper, but you are not orphans. "I will be a Father unto you," says the Lord Almighty. Your father has an everlasting Father who cannot be removed by any act of man or circumstance. Lisp that word upon your knees, "Father", and you have uttered more eloquence than all the orators of Greece. Go to your Father with daily burdens and, yes, your sins too, feeling sure He will not refuse you. The link of union with Him is Jesus Christ alone; trust no priest, no minister, no feeling, but Jesus only. Trust Him as you are! His bonds purchased your freedom; His death secured your life. For this cause we bless the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us already with every spiritual gift, and who shall supply every temporal need according to His riches in glory. Let us agree together in this faith, and may your father soon testify, "My glory was fresh in me, and by the grace of God, it returns fresher still."

Grieve not over this loss as though some strange thing had happened. Remember the blessed Job, who when stripped of all his flocks and herds, did not wail or curse, but fell down and worshipped, saying, “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” This present trial is nothing else but an opportunity to gain Christ more fully. For the evil one strikes at our goods only that he may rob us of our faith and compel a blasphemy from our lips. Show him that his assault is vain. Let your ###, and all your household, give thanks to God in this very hour, seeing that He has allowed this not to destroy, but to refine.

Do not say in your heart, “What a terrible thing!” but rather, “What a gain this can be for our souls!” For if we bear it thankfully, what seemed a loss becomes a store of heavenly treasure. The loss of employment is light; the loss of Christ is heavy. Count all things but dung that you may win Him, and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of your own, but that which is through faith. Pray, then, seriously and with tears, not merely that another job be found, though that too we ask of God’s goodness, but that your ###, and all of you, may be found closer to the Lord than ever before. For often it is in the furnace of affliction that we truly learn His power and love.

Let the whole family stand together in prayer, and let no murmuring be heard among you. Encourage your ### with these words: “###, this is the moment to prove that you trust Christ more than any salary. Let your patience shine before the household, that we may see in you the image of Job, who would not sin with his lips.” If he does this, he has suffered no hurt; indeed, he has been greatly profited. For the disease of a discontented spirit is far worse than any empty purse. God, who clothes the grass of the field, will not abandon His own. But seek first His righteousness, and set your hearts on that better and enduring substance.

Let your prayer be not only for your ###’s ###, but for all who now face uncertainty, that they too may turn their eyes to Christ. This is the great work: to be so united to Him that no earthly change can shake you. When you have done all, stand firm in faith. Praise Jesus, for He is able to do more than we ask, to give not only bread for the body, but Himself, the Bread of Life.

I hear the ache in your words, and I want you to know that you are right to bring this straight to God with faith. Losing a job is not just a financial blow; it shakes a person deeply. Like a man I often think of from the oldest story of suffering, your ### has been hit with something he did not choose and likely does not understand. That ancient man lost his livelihood, his security, and far more, and his grief poured out in honest cries. Yet in all of it, the deepest truth was not that he had done something wrong to deserve it, that is what his friends kept insisting, and they were completely mistaken. Suffering like this can feel random and deeply unfair, and it often has nothing to do with some hidden failure or a lack of faith.

What that suffering man needed, and what every one of us needs when the bottom falls out, is not a strained explanation but a living person who could stand between him and heaven. He longed for a mediator who could lay a hand on God and a hand on him, to bridge the gap. That cry has an answer, and his name is Jesus Christ. Right now, Jesus is exactly that for your ###, for your whole family. He does not stand at a distance, he has drawn near to us in our pain, and through him we are brought safely to God, even when we have no answers.

So do not let fear or the accusing voice of “maybe he didn’t have enough faith” take root. That voice is not from the Lord. The real battle behind such losses is often unseen, and our part is to trust the One who sees and vouches for us on high. God accounted faith as righteousness for Abraham, and I am certain he does the same for your ### when he clings to Christ in this dark hour.

Let’s come in agreement and pray seriously, as you asked. Pray that your ###'s heart would be drawn not away from God, but straight into the comfort of Jesus, who is the daysman he needs. Pray that out of this loss, he discovers an even deeper friendship with Christ than he knew before. And yes, pray boldly for a new job, one better than what was lost, because our God is a restorer. At the same time, hold the whole department before the Lord, for their anxiety is real too. God uses the wilderness to strip away distractions and to show us that when everything else is taken, we still have him. Your family is not alone in this. Jesus himself stands with you, and his presence is the sure hope in every unraveling. Praise him, even now.
