We join you in lifting up your father before the throne of grace and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved and heard. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12

We understand the weight and worry that comes when a job is lost, especially for a father who carries responsibility for his family, and we stand with you asking God for His swift provision, His favor, and His protection over him.

We are reminded of God's faithful provision for His children. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:19 and But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt 6:33 We can trust that your father is seen and known by God, and that God has a plan even in this difficult season. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Jer 29:11 We also take comfort that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Ps 46:1 and that we can Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Prov 16:3

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear father to You. Lord, You know his needs, his skills, his heart, and the burden he carries after losing his job. We ask for Your divine favor to go before him, to open doors that no man can shut and to lead him to the job You have prepared for him. Grant him favor in the eyes of employers and give him wisdom and clarity as he searches and applies and interviews. We ask for Your protection over him, guarding his heart from discouragement and anxiety, protecting his health and his family during this time of uncertainty. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Phil 4:7 Help him to trust in You with all his heart and not lean on his own understanding, acknowledging You in all his ways so that You will direct his paths. Prov 3:5-6 We pray that this trial would draw him and his family closer to You and that his testimony would bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you and your father to continue to seek the Lord diligently in prayer and in His Word, to be steadfast in doing good work and applying faithfully while trusting God's timing. God is faithful and He cares for you deeply. Continue to cast all your worries on Him, because He cares for you. 1 Pet 5:7 We are trusting with you for good news soon and for God to provide abundantly.

Losing a job so suddenly brings more than financial strain. It often shakes a person's sense of identity and purpose, especially for a dad who has carried the responsibility to provide. He may be trying to stay strong for the family while quietly wrestling with discouragement as he waits and searches.

Your steady support can mean a lot in this stretch. If he is open to it, you might gently ask what one pressure point feels heaviest this week, whether it is a bill, rent, or just waiting to hear back, and help him think through one small next step for that one thing. And keep reminding him in simple ways that his worth to you and your family is not measured by a paycheck. Sitting with him, listening without needing to fix everything, and offering to look alongside him for openings or contacts can help keep discouragement from settling in.

Father, we lift this dad to You. You see his need and his heart to provide for his family. We ask for Your protection over him and Your favor as he looks for work, for wisdom in each application and conversation, and for peace for him and his family as they trust You day by day. Provide for what they need and guide his steps. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for your father has been brought before the Lord with sincere affection, and we join you in carrying it to the throne of grace.

We know how heavy such a trial is, to see a father stripped of his daily provision and to feel the anxiety which comes with the loss of employment. Yet we remember Job, who was suddenly reduced from great substance to poverty, and it is written of him, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He arose and worshipped, and the Lord who tried him was also his refuge. So we would have your father and your household do as Job did, and make your approach unto the Lord in childlike confidence, even when His providence seems to frown.

Be encouraged that you may speak to your heavenly Father as a child speaks to his father. He is not a hard master, but the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Father Himself loves you. Our Father knew that we should have need of these things before we asked Him. He is the refuge of His people even when they are under the yoke, and He has provision laid up from of old for every emergency of His children.

Let us pray together.

O blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Thou art our refuge and our portion. Thou seest this father in his need, without present employment, and Thou knowest what things he has need of. We ask Thee in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, that Thou wouldst look upon him in mercy and grant him favor. Open a door of honest labour where he may provide for his household and walk uprightly before Thee. Give him protection in this season of uncertainty, keep him from discouragement and from unbelieving speeches, and keep his heart in patient trust. Let him find that his bow is renewed in his hand, and that Thou canst restore and provide abundantly according to Thy riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Grant him grace to worship Thee still, to abhor all distrust, and to say with a true heart, Abba, Father, Thy will be done.

We commend him and all his family to Thy fatherly care, believing that Thou hearest the broken prayer of Thy dear children. We join you in prayer for your father in this time of need and we bring your request before the Lord with you.

Losing work is a heavy burden, and it is right to ask God for help. Scripture shows us that even great loss can become gain for the soul when we respond with faith. Job, when he lost all, did not cling to what was gone with bitterness but said, The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the Lord. He had learned before the trial to trust God, and so he stood firm when affluence was taken and hardship came. Your father and your family can take courage from that example, giving thanks even in want and trusting that God sees and cares.

We also remember that we are taught not to seek God only for bread, for a job, for daily provision alone, but first for the greater gifts of His kingdom and righteousness. Those daily needs are not despised by Him, they are small and yet He is willing to add them when we love Him first. What we receive, whether much or little, is given not to be buried or wasted but to be used rightly and with thanksgiving for health and necessity, while we spend our chief diligence on spiritual things. The Lord who clothes and feeds will not forget those who call upon Him.

God Himself is the best protector and provider, better than any outward security. When the fear of God guards the heart within, that is a wall that cannot be broken, and He will keep those who trust Him.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we invoke Your Son Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have access to You, and we give You thanks even in this trial. We ask for Your mercy upon this father. Open a door for honest work that will provide for his needs and his family, grant him favor in the sight of those who hire, and protect him from discouragement and from harm. Give him strength to seek diligently, wisdom to use what You provide rightly, and peace to rest in Your care. Make his way plain as he calls upon Your name, and keep his household in faith and love and holiness. We ask this in the name of Jesus our Lord. Amen.
