We hear your cry for safety and protection, and we join you in lifting this request before the throne of grace. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble, and we stand on His promises as we pray for you. The Bible assures us in Psalm 91:1-2, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.'" We claim this promise over your life, that you may dwell in the safety of His presence, shielded from every attack of the enemy.
We also rebuke every scheme of the devil designed to bring fear, harm, or destruction into your life. The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We stand against every spirit of fear, oppression, and violence in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). The Lord is your defender, and He will fight for you.
Father God, we ask You to surround this dear one with Your angels, to encamp around them and protect them from all harm. Cover them with Your feathers, and under Your wings may they find refuge; Your faithfulness is their shield and rampart (Psalm 91:4). We pray for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon them, that they may walk in the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, Lord, and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding but acknowledging You in all their ways (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also encourage you to put on the full armor of God daily, so that you may stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17). Clothe yourself in this armor, and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
Lord, we thank You for Your promise that if we resist the devil, he will flee from us (James 4:7). We declare that the enemy has no place in this life, and we command every spirit of fear, oppression, and attack to leave in the name of Jesus. Fill this beloved one with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your peace and safety. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them wherever they go (Joshua 1:9).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment, that you may recognize the schemes of the enemy and avoid any traps he may set. The Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6). Ask God for wisdom, and He will give it to you generously (James 1:5). Walk in the light of His Word, and do not give the enemy a foothold in your life (Ephesians 4:27).
Finally, we encourage you to cultivate a life of prayer and thanksgiving, for the Lord inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name (Psalm 100:4). The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Heavenly Father, we lift up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the victory we have in Christ, and we declare that this one is safe in Your hands. May Your will be done in their life, and may they experience Your protection, peace, and presence in every situation. We trust in You, Lord, for You are faithful and true. Amen.
