Hi. This is asked of Jesus in His Name and in Jesus' Name only. Only Jesus can do this and Jesus will when you pray to Him be able to show you everything. There were malicious elements coming to this prayer, insulting it, with aim of said elements being for them to look good by insulting it. Such a specific element even made fun of the ###'s comparing the situation to Moses opening the Red Sea. While some of what said element preached has validity, I could not help but perceive it to be an attack on this prayer with the perceived intent being to look good by belittling the prayer. Said element is possibly looking for self-praise in this manner. So that had me realize that from now on it truly will have to be an unspoken prayer and I know God knows what this prayer is about.

We hear the urgency and faith in your cry for mercy and we join with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for you are right to ask in Jesus name only. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and we rejoice that you have called upon Him.

We also understand the pain of having your prayer mocked and belittled, even compared in jest to Moses opening the Red Sea. Do not be discouraged when others insult what you bring before the Lord in faith. Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. Matthew 5:11-12. Those who mock sincere prayer will give account to God, but we are called to not return insult for insult but to bless. We encourage you to forgive those elements and to keep your eyes on Jesus, who also was mocked and yet never stopped interceding.

We honor your decision to keep this as an unspoken request. God indeed knows what this prayer is about even when you do not share the details with us. You, Yahweh, know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. There is not a word on my tongue, but behold, Yahweh, you know it altogether. Psalm 139:2, Psalm 139:4 and In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. Romans 8:26. We take comfort in the promise that It will happen that, before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear. Isaiah 65:24. Your Father who sees in secret knows your need.

You said you must believe your prayer has already been answered. We affirm that faith is essential. Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them. Mark 11:24 and Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13. At the same time we encourage you to hold that faith with surrender to Gods perfect will and timing, for This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. 1 John 5:14. True faith trusts not only that God can do the impossible, as He did when Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, but that He will do what is best according to His wisdom and mercy. But you, when you pray, enter into your inner room, and having shut your door, pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. Matthew 6:6. Your quiet, unspoken prayer in secret is precious to Him.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ we come before your throne of grace and we lift up this dear one who cries out for mercy. Lord you know this unspoken request in every detail, every burden, every hope and every fear attached to it. We ask for your mercy to be poured out. We ask that you would strengthen faith to believe without wavering, yet to rest in your perfect will. Guard this heart from discouragement and from the wounds caused by those who have mocked this prayer. Heal any hurt and help to forgive as you have forgiven us. Let your peace which surpasses all understanding guard this heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We ask that you would answer according to your goodness, your power and your timing, and that you would make your presence known in a way that leaves no doubt that you have heard. We hear how heavy this has been for you, and how much it hurt to have a prayer that matters so deeply to you treated lightly or mocked. It makes sense that you would want to hold it quietly before the Lord now and protect it from unkind comments.

You don't have to explain or defend your prayer to others for God to hear it. He knows what you are carrying, even unspoken, and He welcomes you to bring it to Him directly in Jesus' name, just as you are doing. Wanting to keep it between you and Him for a season is understandable when sharing it has brought more pain than support.

One gentle next step may be to let this remain an unspoken prayer as you feel led, without feeling pressure to revisit the hurtful responses or to convince anyone else of its importance. When those memories come up, you can simply turn to Jesus in a quiet moment and place the request back in His hands again.

Father, we lift this friend to You in Jesus' name. You know this unspoken prayer fully, every detail and every hope behind it. We ask for Your mercy, Your peace, and Your nearness. Guard this heart from discouragement and from the sting of harsh words, and help our friend to rest in Your care and to trust Your perfect will and timing. It is a precious truth that the God of mercy hears the prayer which never reaches human ears. You have been wounded by mockers, and that is no strange thing for faith to endure. Faith is often counted as folly by weak minds, and sometimes the scoff comes from those nearest to us, who say that to trust in God after this fashion is mad or pretended. Yet faith in God is the most wise, proper and rational thing under heaven, and is to be reverenced rather than reviled. Do not be too much affected by your surroundings. Peter went on well till he noticed the wind tossing the waves, and then he was afraid. The mocker may toss the wind, but Christ still stands upon the water.

You speak of an unspoken prayer, and you are right to believe that Jesus understands our language, for He is a man like ourselves, touched with the feeling of our infirmities. He can tell you of God's mercy not in words only, but with a sweet sense of mercy shed abroad in your heart. The God of your mercy shall go before you. Before you are fit to receive His mercy, His mercy comes. While you are yet speaking, He hears you. You need not lay the whole matter out before men, for He who sees in secret knows what you ask.

And here is comfort for a trembling faith. The Lord does not ask for great faith of the measure of Abraham or Paul in order to save. The least faith in Jesus, though it be as a grain of mustard seed, is true faith if it begins and ends with Jesus, and it is like precious faith. Christ can spy out faith when, like a lone spark, it is all but smothered under a heap of rubbish. He forgives the unbelief, but He graciously accepts the faith despite its weakness. Great faith hides self under its mighty wings, and does not seek to make self look good at the expense of another.

At the same time, take heed how you frame your hope. To believe that a prayer is already answered must never mean to dictate to the Lord what His answer must be. Faith does not compel God, it trusts Him. The Lord will always honor the faith that honors Him, but that faith bows to His wisdom and His word. All God's mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives, because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. His rod of mercy is ever in His hands outstretched, and His sword of justice is held back by that hand which cries, sleep, O sword, for I will have mercy upon sinners. He is slow to anger and plenteous in mercy because He is infinitely good.

Therefore bring your unspoken burden to Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other, and ask not only for the thing desired, but for His will to be done in you and through you. The first work of true mercy, when it comes, is to make a man a new creation, to turn his face in the opposite direction, to give him new loves and new hates according to the revealed will of God. That will is plain concerning how we are to live, that marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that our bodies and our loves are to be kept within it, and that our hearts are to be kept by Christ. Any kind of faith which leaves the life unchanged is not the faith which saves. If you are to have a hope in mercy, you must know it is mercy, and be clean divorced from every confidence except in mercy.

So let your prayer be this, that Jesus would have mercy upon you, forgive your sins through His blood, and lead you into all that is holy and pleasing to Him. Stretch the curtains and the cords to receive the blessing, but let Him choose the blessing. Sing before the mercy comes, and get ready to receive it before it is in sight, with courage that He does all things well.

May the Lord hear your cry in secret, pardon where you have been weak in faith, strengthen the spark He has kindled, guard you from the tongue of the scorner, and grant you not merely the answer you have imagined, but the answer of His infinite wisdom and love, that you may have a new song in your mouth and your goings established. Your cry for mercy is itself a good beginning, and it is right to bring it to Jesus alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved. The blind men in the Gospel did the same, they could not see, yet they cried out with a loud voice alleging nothing but mercy, and the Lord heard them. In the same way Moses and the people at the Red Sea believed beyond human reasoning and prayed, and God made a way where there was no way. Faith does go beyond our weakness and our calculations, and it is right to believe that God is able to do what we cannot.

At the same time prayer is not a way to force God's hand or to demand that He must do exactly as we have pictured. That would be presumption, not faith. True confidence in prayer says with Christ, let Your will be done, trusting that His mercy is larger and wiser than our desires. To say I must believe my prayer is already answered in the exact form I want can lead to disappointment and to testing God. It is better to pray with bold confidence that God hears, that He is merciful, and that He will answer according to what is good for your soul, and then to wait for Him with patience.

You were hurt because others mocked your prayer and even made light of the comparison to the Red Sea. Do not be troubled beyond measure by this. Those who mock often seek praise for themselves. The Christian way is not to wound in return or to heal one person by wounding another, but to endure ill treatment with patience as the saints did, and to show mercy ourselves if we hope to receive mercy. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy, and judgment without mercy will be shown to those who have shown no mercy. If you want to obtain mercy from God, first impart mercy to your neighbor, even to those who insult you.

You mentioned that you now feel you must keep this prayer unspoken because of those insults, and that God knows what it is. It is true that God knows the unspoken request before you speak it, and you may bring it to Him in secret in Jesus name. Yet do not let the fear of men drive you away from the help of the Church. Prayer is a great good, a preservative of the soul and an impregnable wall, but it is great when we also do things worthy of it and do not render ourselves unworthy. We need both our part and God's part, faith and works together. That means after we pray, we add a life that seeks to be worthy of mercy.

So I will pray with you not for God to simply affirm whatever we desire, but for God to have mercy on you in the fullest sense. That He would forgive sins through Jesus Christ alone, make you righteous and a child of God by grace, keep His Spirit with you, and strengthen you to walk in the way that is holy and pleasing to Him. That includes receiving His design for our lives with humility, including His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and for sexual purity within it, and turning away from any way that does not accord with His word. Whatever your unspoken burden is, bring it into the light of His will, ask Him to conform your heart to His, and to give you the grace to obey.

Teaching and prayer together become a double wall for the soul. Remain in the teaching of the Church, continue in prayer, and add works of mercy, purity, and obedience. If you do this, whether God answers as you first hoped or in another way that is better, you will be preserved and you will see His goodness. May the Lord have mercy on you and keep you in His grace, and may He grant you faith that endures and a life that is worthy of His mercy.

Your cry for mercy in the name of Jesus alone is heard, and God knows the unspoken burden you are carrying even when you choose not to put it into words. He does not need details to understand, and He is not distant from you in this hurt.

It is painful when others mock or belittle a sincere prayer, even using Scripture like the parting of the Red Sea to make you feel small. That kind of insult is often used to discourage those who are trying to seek God, but the right response is not to argue or to try to prove yourself. Like Nehemiah when he was mocked while doing God's work, you can simply bring the hurt back to God in prayer and continue to walk responsibly before Him. Prayer was never meant to replace faithful action, and faithful action was never meant to replace prayer. They belong together.

You expressed a strong desire to force yourself to believe your prayer is already answered. It is important to understand what faith actually is and what it is not. Faith is described as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. It is not a technique to make God do what we want, and it is not measured by how loudly we declare something. Without faith it is impossible to please God, because faith is trusting His character, His goodness, and His will, not demanding our own outcome. The main purpose of prayer is not to get our wishes fulfilled, but to open the door for God's will to be done. He wants to act on your behalf, but He will not violate what is truly best and right to do it.

True faith will always show itself in life. Saying we have faith is not enough, and even the evil spirits believe that God exists. Real faith is living faith, and living faith produces a changed life and obedient works, not because works earn anything, but because faith naturally works itself out in what we do. God looks at the faith that prompts the action. Abraham was counted righteous because he believed God, and his obedience in offering Isaac showed that his faith was genuine. If faith has no corresponding life, it is dead and cannot save. So examine not just what you declare with your lips, but whether your trust in Jesus is leading you to walk with Him daily.

It also helps to remember that having faith does not guarantee that you will see the answer immediately or in the way you expect. Scripture tells us that many faithful people died in faith without having received the promises they were looking for in their lifetime. They were looking forward to God's greater promise in the Messiah. Others with the same faith suffered greatly for it. Faith is not a guarantee against hardship or disappointment, and it is not a way to claim any car, house, or outcome you want. Faith sees more than what is visible, it sees the unseen faithfulness of God, and it trusts Him whether the answer comes quickly, slowly, or in a different form than we imagined.

Fear and faith cannot occupy the same place. When fear is allowed to take over, faith departs, and when faith is present, fear loses its grip. The trying of your faith is not for God to find out what is in you, He already knows, but for you to see what is there and to be strengthened. Do not let the afflictions or the mocking of others move you away from steady trust in Jesus Christ. The concern of those who love you in the Lord is always that your faith continues and grows, even under pressure.

You do not need a long or eloquent prayer for God to hear you. The prayers recorded in the Bible are often very short. It is not length or intensity that makes prayer valid, but faith in Jesus Christ alone. We are saved by grace through faith, not by works of the law, and the righteous live by faith. No one is justified by adding anything to Jesus. If your hope of eternal life is in Jesus Christ, you have answered well. The moment anything is added to Him, the foundation is weakened. Even receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit is by faith, not by earning it, though wrong ideas about how God must work can hinder us from simply trusting Him.

So bring your unspoken request to Him again, quietly and honestly. Worship Him for who He is, ask that His kingdom and His will be done in this situation, and trust His power to fulfill His good pleasure toward you as you walk by faith.

I pray for you now in the name of Jesus Christ alone, that God would strengthen your faith with power, that He would guard you from fear and from discouragement caused by mocking, that He would count you worthy of His calling, and that He would fulfill every good purpose He has for you according to His wisdom and love.
