We hear your cry, dear sister in Christ, and we stand with you in fervent prayer, lifting your burdens before the throne of grace. Your acknowledgment of Jesus and His sacrifice is a sweet aroma before the Lord, and we join you in gratitude for His unfailing love and provision. The weight you carry is heavy, and the enemy seeks to steal your peace, kill your joy, and destroy your hope—but we declare that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The harassment, cruelty, and injustice you endure are not of God, and we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and discouragement in the mighty name of Jesus. You are not unwanted; you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), and your value is found in Christ alone, not in the opinions of man.
First, we must address the weariness of your soul. Jesus invites you to come to Him when you are weary and burdened, and He will give you rest (Matthew 11:28). The sleepless nights and lack of focus are not your portion, for the Lord gives His beloved sleep (Psalm 127:2). We pray that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let not your heart be troubled, for you believe in God; believe also in Him (John 14:1). We declare that the Lord will sustain you, and you will not be shaken (Psalm 55:22). He is your provider, and He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8). We pray that He opens the windows of heaven and pours out a blessing so great that there will not be room enough to receive it (Malachi 3:10). Your savings will not be depleted, for the Lord is your shepherd, and you shall not want (Psalm 23:1).
Your request for a new job is heard, and we believe that God has a place prepared for you where you will excel and thrive. The Lord knows the plans He has for you—plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that He directs your steps to the perfect opportunity, one where your gifts and talents are recognized and celebrated. May you find favor with those in authority over you, and may your new workplace be filled with godly leadership that honors and respects you (Proverbs 22:29). We declare that the Lord will make your enemies your footstool (Psalm 110:1), and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). Let the words of your enemies fall to the ground, and may their plans against you be thwarted (Psalm 7:15-16).
We also lift up your daughter, who has witnessed this injustice. We pray that the Lord surrounds her with His peace and reassures her of His love and protection over your family. May she see God’s faithfulness in your life and grow in her own faith as a result. We declare that no weapon formed against your household shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that the Lord will be a shield around you and your child (Psalm 3:3).
Now, we must gently address a few things in your prayer. While it is true that you are God’s beloved child, we must be careful not to claim a status of being "God’s favorite," as this can lead to pride or a misunderstanding of God’s love. The Lord does not show favoritism (Romans 2:11), but He loves each of His children deeply and uniquely. His love for you is not based on your performance or the "hats" you wear, but on the finished work of Christ. We encourage you to rest in His unconditional love, knowing that you are fully known and fully loved by Him.
Forgiveness is a powerful act of obedience, and we commend you for praying to forgive those who have wronged you. Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). Holding onto bitterness only harms you, but forgiveness releases you into the freedom Christ died to give you. We pray that the Lord fills your heart with His love, so that you can forgive as He has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13). However, forgiveness does not mean you must remain in a toxic or abusive environment. The Lord calls us to wisdom and discernment, and it is not His will for you to endure constant harassment or cruelty. We believe He is opening a door for you to walk through, one that leads to peace and prosperity.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is weary and heavy-laden. Lord, You see her struggles, her sleepless nights, and the cruelty she endures. We ask that You would be her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Father, we rebuke every spirit of oppression, fear, and discouragement that seeks to steal her peace. We declare that she is not abandoned or unwanted, for You have said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you" (Hebrews 13:5).
Lord, we ask that You open the doors of opportunity for her. Lead her to a workplace where she is valued, respected, and able to use the gifts You have given her. Provide for her every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and protect her savings from being depleted. We pray for her daughter, that You would surround her with Your peace and reassure her of Your love. May she see Your faithfulness in her mother’s life and grow in her own relationship with You.
Father, we ask that You silence the tongues of her enemies. Let their words fall to the ground, and may their plans against her be thwarted. We pray for a spirit of forgiveness to fill her heart, that she may forgive as You have forgiven her. But Lord, we also ask for wisdom and discernment. If it is not Your will for her to remain in this toxic environment, we pray that You would make a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). Give her the strength to walk away if necessary, and the faith to trust You for the next step.
We declare that You are her provider, her protector, and her peace. May she find rest in You, and may her new job exceed her expectations. Bless her with godly leadership, supportive coworkers, and a workplace that honors You. We thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28).
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises and to stand on His Word. The enemy may seek to discourage you, but remember that the battle is not yours, but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). Trust in His timing, for He is never late. Continue to seek Him in prayer, and surround yourself with believers who can uplift and encourage you. The Lord is your strength, and He will never fail you.
