Physically, emotionally exhausted

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father God, I feel physically and emotionally exhausted. Please surround me with your presence and fill me with your peace. Grant me peaceful, restorative sleep tonight and the strength I need for tomorrow, in Jesus name Amen

We join with you in this moment of deep weariness and lift you before our Father in Jesus' name, thanking Him that you have come to Him for rest. He sees your exhaustion, both of body and of heart, and He invites you to find your refuge in His presence. We are reminded of His promise in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, and in Exodus 33:14, My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. When we feel overwhelmed, we can know that He is our rock that is higher than we are as Psalm 61:2 teaches.

We also take comfort that He is the giver of true peace and restorative sleep. His word says in Psalm 4:8, In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety, and in Psalm 127:2, for he gives sleep to his loved ones. He does not intend for you to carry this burden alone, for Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

We pray together for you now. Father God, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up Your tired child to You. We ask that You surround this dear one with Your holy presence tonight and fill every weary place with Your perfect peace. Grant peaceful, deep and restorative sleep that renews body, mind and spirit. Quiet every anxious thought and calm every aching muscle. Lord, You give power to the faint and to him who has no might You increase strength as promised in Isaiah 40:29, so we ask that You pour out fresh strength for tomorrow, strength that is not our own but Yours, so that Your power may rest upon this weakness according to 2 Corinthians 12:9. Help us to release all that burdens us into Your caring hands, to trust Your love to sustain us day by day. We thank You that we can rest in Your unfailing love and that Your mercies are new every morning. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our rest and our peace, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us. In this season of exhaustion, give yourself permission to rest in Him without guilt, to step away from striving and simply abide in His presence, to nourish your body with sleep and your soul with His word. He is near to you and He will carry you through.

We hear how heavy this exhaustion feels, in your body and in your emotions, and we want you to know we are praying for you with real care. Asking God for His nearness, His peace, and a night of restorative sleep is such a good and honest prayer when you feel you have nothing left.

It makes sense that when sleep is broken and strength is low, everything else feels harder to face. We are grateful you brought this directly to the Father. He is not disappointed by your weariness, He understands it, and He offers His presence not as an idea but as a steady comfort to rest in, even on nights when rest does not come easily.

We will keep asking for that peace you asked for, and for renewed strength for tomorrow as God provides it. If this exhaustion continues, please consider letting a trusted pastor, friend or family member know how depleted you feel, and reaching out to your doctor for care alongside prayer. Having another person walk with you can make the burden lighter and help you get the right support.

Father, we lift our friend to You tonight. Surround them with Your nearness, calm what feels stirred and tired inside, and grant them peaceful sleep and the strength they need for tomorrow according to Your kindness. We trust them into Your hands in Jesus name, Amen.

Your cry of weariness has been heard and we bring it before the throne of grace with you. The Lord knows what it is to be spent in body and in spirit, and He is nigh unto them that are heavy laden and seek His face.

The Scripture gives you a precious word for such an hour, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. This is not a peace that depends upon untroubled circumstances, but a perfect peace that lives within even in this dark world of care, because the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. When duties press and sorrows surge round, to rest in Jesus and to do His will is rest. He is your keeper, and you are safe in His keeping.

And for the night before you, take comfort in that other sweet promise, So he giveth his beloved sleep. Sleep is a gift from your Father's hand. It is the sleep of contentment and of security which He gives to His beloved, to those whose conscience is at peace with God through Jesus Christ. You need not strive to earn it. You may lie down as one beloved of the Lord, trusting that He who neither slumbers nor sleeps watches over you, and that He will grant you rest for weary limbs and a quieting of the throbbing mind.

We pray for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our peace, we ask Thee to surround this weary one with Thy presence. Let Thy peace which passeth all understanding guard heart and mind. Grant tonight peaceful and restorative sleep, even as Thou givest sleep to Thy beloved, and renew strength for tomorrow. Calm every anxious thought, lift the burden of exhaustion, and let this Thy child awake refreshed to walk in Thy strength. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Hearing your honest cry of physical and emotional exhaustion, we join you in prayer before the Father who sees your weariness and draws near to the weary.

We pray that God will surround you with His presence today and fill your heart with His peace. Scripture reminds us that He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, so while you rest, He watches over you. He is the God of peace who is able to make you complete and to work in you what is pleasing in His sight.

We ask the Lord to grant you peaceful and restorative sleep tonight, to quiet your mind and renew your body, and to give you strength for tomorrow. As you have prayed in Jesus name, we remember His word that His grace is sufficient and His strength is made perfect in weakness. When we have no strength of our own, He sustains us.

May He lead you into a quiet and peaceable life in godliness, guarding your heart from inner turmoil and filling you with calm trust. Cast your cares on Him tonight, knowing He cares for you, and may you wake refreshed, steadied and upheld by His mercy.

Father, we lift this dear one to You. Enfold them in Your presence, grant deep and healing sleep, and pour out Your peace that passes understanding. Renew their strength for the day ahead and let them know they are held in Your unfailing love. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
