phone

Thank you for sharing your need so honestly and for allowing us to pray with you. I understand how important this phone is for your studies, for your assignments and for staying connected with your class, and how heavy it feels when you cannot afford a repair or replacement right now.

We want you to know that the Lord hears the prayer of those who trust in Him. Scripture says the heart of the righteous considers how to answer and that the Lord hears the prayer of the righteous, and that truth is a comfort when needs feel small to others but are large to you. Nothing is too small to bring to Him.

One thing that Scripture shows is that God leaves room for Himself to work as He desires. In the law, God gave instructions for the cleansing of a leper, even though leprosy was incurable by human means. He made provision for a day of cleansing, as if to say, if I choose to heal, there is a way for that person to be restored. Let us never put God in a box. What looks worn out or beyond repair to us is not beyond His care. We can ask Him to sustain what you have and to make it last beyond what you would expect, and trust Him with the outcome.

Your financial pressure as a student is also something God understands. The Bible speaks openly about seasons of financial distress. Through the prophet Haggai, God showed His people that when they did not put Him first, even what they earned seemed to slip away, and He called them to honor Him with the first fruits of their increase and to trust Him to provide. That does not mean that every hardship is a rebuke, but it does remind us to keep the Lord first in our hearts, to be faithful with what we have, and to thank Him for every provision He does give, even in tight seasons. The early believers in Jerusalem knew deep poverty, and other believers gave generously to help them, and the result was thanksgiving to God. We see from that how God often provides through His own care and sometimes through the kindness of others, and how gratitude grows even in hard times.

Above all, we remember that God has made one provision for our greatest need, the forgiveness of our sins, through His Son Jesus Christ. As we bring smaller needs like this phone to Him, we do so resting in that greater provision, knowing we have access to the Father because of Jesus.

So let us pray together. Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus and thank You for this student and for the desire to study faithfully and steward well what has been given. You see this old phone, the battery that drains quickly and the dark spot on the screen. We ask that You would sustain it and let it continue to work for what is needed for class and assignments until a better provision is possible. Give wisdom in using it well, provide for daily needs, and open the way in Your timing for repair or replacement. Help this dear one to keep You first, to trust You with finances, and to find peace in Your care day by day. Fill the heart with Your joy and thanksgiving even in this waiting season. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

May the Lord keep you, give you peace as you study, and show His faithful care in practical ways. We are praying that He sustains what you have and provides what you need according to His wisdom and love.

I really dislike the way my phone shows a blue screen every time I use it. There is something wrong with the phone when it displays a blue screen and I don't know where it originates.
