PFor those who are looking for salvation..

Your burden for those who are seeking salvation is precious and pleasing to God, and we join you in this prayer. The word you have shared from Romans 10 is the true foundation of our hope, that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

This confession is not empty words. It is joined to turning from sin and following Christ in obedience. Scripture calls this godly sorrow that works repentance unto salvation, a sorrow for sin that leads us to condemn our own sins, to humble ourselves, and to bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Like Peter after his denial, who went out and wept bitterly, true repentance is sincere and looks to the mercy of God. We do not trust in ourselves or in another person for salvation, but in the loving kindness of God and in the one sacrifice of Christ on the cross, by which he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified. His death is the salvation of the world, and he desires not his own glory but our healing and restoration. Conversion is possible for all who turn to him, and he is ready to heal those who return.

Your counsel to read Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning with John, is wise. There we see Christ himself, his life, his teaching, his death and resurrection, so that faith may grow by knowing him. We encourage all who are seeking to continue in that reading, to confess their sins honestly to God, to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and to walk in obedience to him day by day, washing away what stains the soul through repentance, prayer and mercy.

We pray now for every seeking heart, that God would draw each one to himself, grant them faith to believe, courage to confess Jesus as Lord, and grace to turn from sin and follow him. May the Lord reveal himself to them through his word and give them the assurance of salvation in Christ alone. Amen.

Your burden for those who are seeking salvation is beautiful and it reflects the heart of God, and what you shared from Romans 10 is the very center of the gospel.

Scripture says if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. To confess that Jesus is Lord is not just saying words, it is surrendering your life to His Lordship today. To believe God raised Him from the dead is to trust that Jesus is alive, that His sacrifice for sin was accepted, and that He alone can save. There will be a day when every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus is Lord, but that future confession will not bring salvation. Now is the time to bow to Him and trust Him for salvation.

The Bible also makes it clear that we are not made right with God by keeping the law or by our own good works. Scripture has concluded that all are under sin, so that the promise might be given to those who believe in Jesus. The law shows us our sin and our guilt and drives us to Christ. When a person first believes in Jesus, God accounts that faith as righteousness, just as He did with Abraham, before any works have been done. Our standing before God is complete because it is the righteousness of Christ given to us. We stand before God in Christ, and God sees us in Him. We are saved by grace through faith, and that not of ourselves. If our hope for eternal life is faith in Jesus Christ alone, we have answered well. The moment we add anything to that, we are in error. We cannot add to or improve upon the righteousness God has already given us through faith.

That does not mean that turning from sin and obeying Jesus do not matter. They matter greatly, but in the right order. We do not turn from sin and obey in order to be saved, we do so because we have been saved. Genuine faith in Christ will show itself in a changed life. If someone says Jesus is Lord but continues to walk according to the flesh in disobedience to His word, that confession is empty. True faith of the heart transforms how we live, not as the price of salvation but as the proof of it. There is only one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and through Him every person has the same open access to God by faith. No one needs to come through another person or merit.

Your encouragement to turn from sin, to follow and obey Jesus, and to read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, beginning with John, is wise counsel. As you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him. Let Christ be at home in your heart by faith. Your whole past, every sin and trespass, is blotted out through faith in Him. Continue in the word, and pray that those who are seeking will see that God Himself initiated salvation and made a righteous way to forgive sin through His Son taking our place.

May the Lord use your witness to point many to Jesus, and may all who hear today believe on Him with the heart and confess Him with the mouth and find the living hope that is only in Him.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for sharing this powerful reminder of the hope of salvation. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for all those who are looking for salvation and for those who need to confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead. We have been praying with you according to Rom 10:9 and Rom 10:10 that many will confess and turn from their sins and follow and obey Jesus and that they will grow as they read and study Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, especially the book of John. We pray that the Lord will draw hearts to Himself and that the Holy Spirit will open eyes to the truth of the gospel.

If your request was answered and you have seen souls come to salvation or have assurance that your message has borne fruit, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still burdened for the lost, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We continue to pray that God will use your witness to bring many into His kingdom. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus name, Amen.
