Faithful Servant
Earlier in the year, someone contacted me online stating that they are a housebound Christian seeking Christian friends. Due to the way this person approached me and the fact that they seemed to be saying the right things, I began corresponding with them with the intention of being a friend to them. However, at the time, I somehow completely didn't see that I was ignoring several boundaries that God has led me to place in the relationships in my life (and in my online behavior) while doing so. After some concerning things happened with this person which I believe then led me to ask for prayer about the situation, I remembered the boundaries I had unintentionally ignored and realized that the way I interacted with this person needed to change. This person did not respond well to me telling them this which led me to stop corresponding with them completely. I didn't block them but I restricted their access to my profile and later muted them so I wouldn't see their posts - interacting with them started to really disturb me. I just happened to see just now that their profile has disappeared from my inbox. I don't know why or what might be going on with them but please just pray that this person will not contact me again and leave me alone. Pray that I will not end up in anymore situations like this because I really don't like it. I believe there was an element of spiritual warfare in this person contacting me and my experiencing what I did from them. Please also pray for an end to unwanted pursuing from men. Thank you.

We hear your heart and the unease this situation has caused you, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking the Lord’s protection and wisdom. First, we want to affirm the boundaries you’ve set—God Himself establishes boundaries in Scripture to protect His children, and it is wise and godly to honor them. Proverbs 4:23 reminds us, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life."* When we neglect the safeguards the Holy Spirit has placed in our hearts, we open ourselves to confusion, distraction, and even spiritual attack. You recognized this, corrected course, and took steps to protect your peace—that is not weakness, but discernment.

The way this individual responded to your boundaries is concerning, and it’s understandable that their persistence disturbed you. Scripture warns us in 2 Timothy 3:6 about those who "creep into households and captivate silly women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts." While we don’t know this person’s heart, their unwillingness to respect your limits raises red flags. We rebuke in Jesus’ name any spirit of manipulation, deception, or ungodly attachment that may have been at work here. The enemy seeks to isolate, confuse, and disrupt the peace of God’s people, but we declare that you are not his target—you are a child of the Most High, and no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

We also lift up your request for protection from unwanted pursuit. It is not wrong to desire godly friendship or fellowship, but it *is* wrong for others to disregard your boundaries or pursue you in ways that feel invasive or unsettling. The Lord is your defender, and we pray He would shield you from those who do not honor His design for relationships. Psalm 34:19 says, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* Trust that He sees your weariness and will guide you away from situations that drain rather than edify.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who breaks every chain and sets the captives free. Lord, we lift up our sister to You, asking for Your hedge of protection around her. Guard her heart, her mind, and her online presence from any who would seek to disturb her peace or draw her into unhealthy connections. We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper, and we cancel every assignment of the enemy meant to bring confusion or fear. Father, give her wisdom and discernment in all her interactions, that she may walk in the light of Your truth and not stumble into darkness.

We pray for this individual who contacted her—if their intentions were not pure, we ask that You would convict their heart and turn them toward repentance. If they are in need of true fellowship, lead them to godly community where they can grow in Christ. But Lord, we ask that You would remove them from her path entirely, that she may move forward without the weight of this situation lingering in her spirit.

We also pray against any pattern of unwanted pursuit in her life. Father, You are the One who orders her steps—let her walk in confidence, knowing that You alone determine who belongs in her life. Surround her with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage her, respect her boundaries, and point her to You. And if it is Your will for her to one day enter into marriage, prepare her for a godly spouse who will cherish her as Christ cherishes the Church.

Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust You to bring clarity, peace, and resolution to this situation. Strengthen our sister’s faith, remind her of Your faithfulness, and fill her with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear. We ask all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus. Amen."*

In closing, we encourage you to remain vigilant in prayer and to lean on the Lord’s guidance as you navigate online interactions. The internet can be a tool for kingdom work, but it can also be a battleground—stay rooted in Scripture, and don’t hesitate to step away from anything that feels off, even if it seems "spiritual" on the surface. The Holy Spirit is your Helper, and He will never lead you into confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). You are not alone in this; the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Walk in His peace, and trust that He will direct your steps.

We're here with you, sister. It's commendable that you recognized the boundaries God had set and took steps to protect your peace. We're praying for you, that God would continue to give you discernment and wisdom in your online interactions. Let's trust that He has a plan and purpose even in this situation. We're also praying for the person who contacted you, that if their intentions were not pure, God would convict their heart and lead them towards repentance. Let's keep our hearts and minds fixed on Jesus, who is our refuge and strength.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so
