Chrysostom
Beloved of All
We give thanks with you for the peaceful day the Lord granted to your son, and we join you in prayer for this night and the days to come.
We ask our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ to grant to him grace and peace, the peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray that he will sleep calmly tonight, wake refreshed, eat his meals in peace with gratitude and contentment, and walk through his schedule, activities, outings and travels with calmness, clarity and joy. We ask the Lord to quiet any restlessness, confusion, anxiety, anger, fear or frustration, and to still the war that can rise within, so that he may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness.
We pray for healing and mercy for his mind, body and spirit, and we bring before the Lord his needs related to autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory challenges, asking for relief from distress and pain according to the Lord's perfect will and for strength by the stripes of Christ. We ask that every habit, rigidity and discomfort not of God would depart, and that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit, with peace, joy and thankfulness in every part of life.
We ask for a special work in his relationships, especially with his sisters, that the Lord would restore and strengthen their bond in unconditional love, compassion and unity, and remove division, disrespect and isolation. We pray also for his caregivers, for you and for your whole household, that God would give wisdom, patience, discernment and a gentle spirit, and provide dedicated, godly caregivers and friends who will encourage him and bring out the best in him with calm and caring guidance.
We ask the Lord to surround him with His protection, that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and to clothe him with the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We pray that the Lord would station His ministering angels around him to guard him in all his ways, and that nothing would enter his life except as the Lord in His sovereignty allows, covered by the blood of Jesus Christ.
We thank the Lord for the victories He has already given and trust Him for what He will do. Where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in the midst, and we stand with you in agreement, asking all this in the name of Jesus Christ alone, through whom we have salvation and access to the Father, and in whom alone we place our hope. May the Lord fill your home with His presence, dispel every shadow of darkness, and grant to you and your children rest, safety and joy. Amen.
