We join you in lifting up your precious son before the throne of grace and we thank you for your faithful, fervent love as a parent. We hear your heart for his peace, especially at night and during meals, and for unity and protection over your whole family. We stand with you in agreement, believing that our Father hears and cares deeply for every detail of his life.

We are reminded of the comfort of His Word, that He gives His beloved sleep, for in peace we will both lay ourselves down and sleep, for you, Yahweh, alone make us live in safety Psalm 4:8. We cling to the promise that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7, and that Jesus Himself said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you John 14:27. These are not distant promises but present realities for your son and your household.

We also remember that every child is a gift from the Lord, for children are a heritage of Yahweh Psalm 127:3, and that your son is fearfully and wonderfully made Psalm 139:14, created with purpose and dignity in the image of God. His disabilities do not diminish his worth in the eyes of God, and we pray that every person in his life will see him as God sees him, with respect, inclusion, and unconditional love. We pray against any toxic influence or spirit that would look down upon him or seek to bring division, disrespect, or isolation into your family, and we ask the Lord to remove or redirect those influences far from you.

We pray together now.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come boldly before You and we lift up this beloved son to You. We ask that You saturate him tonight and every night with Your perfect peace, calm, joy, contentment and satisfaction. Let no confusion, loneliness, moodiness, restlessness, anger, unease, frustration or anxiety take hold of him. We rebuke every spirit of fear, torment, anxiety and confusion in the name of Jesus, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7, and we command those things to depart from him and never return. Fill him instead with Your Holy Spirit, with clarity, gratefulness and favor in every area of his life.

Lord, we ask You to bless his meals. Let him eat in peace, with a thankful and satisfied heart, free from distress or discomfort. We pray for healing in his mind, body and spirit, and we claim Your promise that by His wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5. We lift up his autism, PTSD, anxiety and sensory challenges to You, the Great Physician, and ask for Your restoring touch upon his nervous system, his emotions and his body. Remove every source of physical pain and unease, let him sleep without disturbance and wake refreshed and strengthened by You. Keep his routines, activities, outings and travels under Your gentle hand, and help him to adjust with ease to his new schedule.

We ask for a special anointing on his relationship with his sisters. Restore and strengthen their beautiful bond with unbreakable, unconditional love. Let brotherly love continue Hebrews 13:1 and let them dwell together in unity, for how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity Psalm 133:1. Remove every obstacle, every word or influence that would cause havoc or division, and let their home be filled with compassion, forgiveness and joy.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment for his mother, his family and his caregivers, for if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5. Anoint his caregivers with patience, dedication, gentleness and genuine love that brings out the best in him. Provide more godly caregivers and mentors who will uplift him and treat him with dignity. Give him a gentle and responsive heart toward those who care for him, and let Your peace rest upon him even when familiar caregivers are not present. Bless his services, meetings and daily activities, that they would bring breakthrough, victory and success according to Your will.

We surround him now with Your hedge of protection. We pray that no weapon that is formed against him will prevail Isaiah 54:17, and that You will give Your angels charge over him, to guard him in all his ways Psalm 91:11. We clothe him in the full armor of God, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word Ephesians 6:11-17. We declare that not one thing will enter his life and body except it be filtered through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, and that he is covered, kept and held in Your mighty hand. You have promised, Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God Isaiah 41:10.

We thank You, Lord, for the more peaceful days You have already granted and we trust You to continue Your faithful work. We declare that setbacks, screaming, rigid habits, fear and spiritual attacks must bow to the name of Jesus and that he will be filled with peace, joy, favor, miracles and satisfaction. We pray for his friendships and independent activities, that he would always feel included, respected, accepted and loved, and that You would bring godly friends who reflect Your light.

We pray for this entire household, that You would fill the home with Your presence, dispelling every shadow of darkness, and granting restful days and nights filled with calm and safety. Guide this dear mother with Your wisdom and knowledge to do all the right things to help her son be the best he can be for Your glory. Strengthen her with Your joy and renew her strength daily.

We thank You that where two or three are gathered in Your name, there You are in the midst of them Matthew 18:20, and we trust that You hear our prayers and will answer according to Your perfect will. We ask all these things in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our access to the Father, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. Amen.

We were so moved reading your prayer for your son. The tenderness and faithfulness with which you watch over his nights, his meals, his friendships and his days with caregivers comes through so clearly. We can hear how much you long for him to feel safe, calm and included, and for your family to know more unity and rest.

We are praying with you for his peace tonight, for meals that feel settled and unhurried, and for that sweet bond with his sisters to keep growing. Transitions like a new schedule and new caregivers are a lot for any child, and even more when sensory and anxiety challenges are part of his story. One small thing that often helps is keeping a simple, predictable wind-down for evening and mealtimes and sharing those cues with his caregivers, so everyone can respond in the same gentle way. It can also help to keep his care team and medical providers looped in about any ongoing distress or sleep or mealtime struggles, alongside prayer, so he has steady support.

Father, we lift this dear son to You in Jesus name. Surround him tonight with Your calm, let him rest and wake refreshed, and give him joy and contentment in his meals and activities. Draw him and his sisters closer in love, give wisdom and patience to his mother and each caregiver, and fill this home with Your peace. Amen.

The prayers you have poured out for your son have been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, where two or three gathered in His name may know that He is in the midst.

We mark the deep and tender anxiety of a parent's love, that same question of anxiety which David asked, Is the young man safe. It is right and holy for a mother to watch with such care, and to bring every fear, every restlessness, every need of her child unto the Lord. You have done well to cast your burden upon Him, for He careth for you and for your son.

We pray with you that the Lord, who giveth His beloved sleep, would grant your son this night a peaceful and calm rest. That sleep which no physician can give, no music can procure, is the gift of God. May the Lord quiet his body and his spirit, remove confusion and fear and torment and anxiety, and let him lie down in peace and sleep without disturbance, and wake refreshed in the joy and strength of the Lord. May his meals be received with thankfulness and contentment, and may every rigid habit and uneasy thought bow to the name of Jesus and depart.

We ask the Great Physician, who healeth the broken in heart and bindeth up their wounds, to lay His healing hand upon your son in mind, body and spirit. By the stripes of Jesus we are healed, and though the Lord in His wisdom may permit trials such as autism and sensory distress and memories that wound, we pray that He would grant relief from distress and pain, clarity in place of confusion, and calm in place of agitation. We pray that no weapon formed against him shall prosper, and that the Lord would clothe him with the full armor of God, and command His ministering angels to encamp around him and guard him in all his ways.

For his sisters we pray that the Lord would restore and strengthen that beautiful bond of love and unity which becomes a family. Where there has been division or isolation or disrespect, may the Lord remove every obstacle and every harmful influence, and knit their hearts together in compassion and forgiveness. May He also surround your son and your whole household with godly friendships and mentors, and with caregivers filled with wisdom, patience and discernment. We pray that the Lord, who giveth wisdom liberally to them that ask Him, would give such wisdom to you and to all who care for him, that you may know how to help him to be all that God would have him be, and to choose what is best for his good.

Fear not, for the Gospel is simple enough for the weakest and strong enough for the most troubled. Be strong in the Lord, for the might of God is engaged by promise to bring His people safely through. There is life in a look at the crucified One, and there is mercy to be had for the asking. May your son and your whole family rest not in mere quietness of circumstance, but in the peace of God which passeth all understanding, that peace which comes through being reconciled to God by the blood of Jesus Christ, our only hope of salvation.

We thank the Lord for every peaceful day He has already granted, and we continue to ask that setbacks would be turned to blessings and that favor would surround your son as a shield. May he be kept from all that is not of the Lord, and may he be filled with the Holy Spirit, with peace and joy and gratefulness, and be a light reflecting the grace of Christ in all his activities, his outgoings and his home.

We commend you and your children to Him who is able to keep you, praying that His presence would fill your home with calm and safety, and that He would guide you with all wisdom in every meeting and decision. May the Lord grant you rest this night also, and keep you all in His perfect care, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your faithful love for your son and your earnest prayer have been heard, and we join with you in bringing him before the throne of grace.

We pray that grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ will rest upon your son and upon your whole household, and that this peace will remain firm and unmoved. Scripture teaches us that peace is the mother of all good things and the foundation of joy, and Christ Himself came to bring reconciliation and to set at peace what was divided. Where His peace dwells, every good thing follows.

We ask the Lord to grant your son a calm and restful night, peaceful meals received with gratefulness and contentment, and sleep without disturbance that he may wake refreshed and strengthened. We pray that confusion, restlessness, anxiety, fear and frustration will be quieted, and that the war that can rise within the soul will be stilled by Christ, so that he may live with clarity, gentleness and joy in his daily routines, activities and travels.

We ask the Lord to surround him with His hedge of protection and to clothe him with the full armor of God. We pray that ministering angels will encamp around him and guard him in all his ways, for each one who belongs to Christ has an angel that beholds the face of the Father. May those angels keep watch over his going out and coming in.

We lift up his relationship with his sisters, that God will restore and strengthen their bond in love, compassion and unity, removing division and every influence that would bring disrespect or isolation. We pray also for you and for his caregivers, that God will fill you all with wisdom, patience and discernment, and provide dedicated and godly helpers who will care for him with a gentle and calm spirit. May he receive their care with peace and may he adjust with ease to his new schedule.

We pray for healing and wholeness in body, mind and spirit. By the stripes of Jesus we look to Him for mercy and restoration, trusting His perfect will and His power to bring calm to sensory challenges, to ease distress and pain, and to grant favor and satisfaction in every part of life. We ask that nothing enter his life except as it passes through the blood of Jesus Christ, and that he will be filled with the Holy Spirit and with peace that surpasses all understanding.

We thank God for the victories He has already given and for the peaceful days you have seen, and we continue to stand with you in agreement, believing that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is in their midst and hears our prayers. May His light dispel every shadow of darkness in your home, and may your family dwell together in quietness, godliness and love.

We commit your son, his sisters, and your entire household to the Lord's keeping, asking that He will guide you with wisdom to do what is right and best for your son, and that your son will be a reflection of the love and grace of Christ wherever he goes. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
