Your love for your son and your faithful prayers for him are deeply moving, and it is a privilege to join you in bringing him before the Lord.

We stand with you in asking for the peace of God that goes beyond understanding to guard his heart and mind. You described the restlessness, anxiety, confusion, frustration and fear that can crowd into the night, and it is true that when there is suffering or distress a night can feel endless. In those long dark hours God has not left you or your son. He is near to give calm, to quiet the heart, and even to give songs in the night to those who are weary. We pray that this night and every night to come would be marked by that divine calm, by clear thought, by joy and gratefulness, and by restful sleep where he can lie down and wake refreshed.

We also join you in praying for healing in his body, mind and spirit. Scripture speaks of healing as a work of God that rests in His sovereign hands. It is not a burden to be placed on the one who is struggling or on the family who loves him, and it is not a sign of failure when healing does not come in the way or timing we hope for. Good and faithful people still walk through sickness and hardship, and that does not mean God has turned away. The Lord heals in many ways. Sometimes it is immediate, sometimes it is gradual, sometimes through a word or a touch, and sometimes through the natural processes He has built into our bodies, which are no less from His hand. All true healing is from Him, and we can trust His wisdom and His perfect will while we continue to ask boldly. As Isaiah says, by His wounds we are healed, and we cling to that promise while resting in His sovereignty.

We pray as you did for protection over him, that the Lord would surround him with a hedge of care and clothe him with the full armor He has provided, the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. We ask that ministering angels would encamp around him and that no weapon formed against him would prosper, and that every fear, torment and confusion would have to bow to the name of Jesus.

We pray for you, for your family, and for every caregiver the Lord has placed in his life. May God fill you all with wisdom, patience and discernment to do what is right and helpful for him, with gentleness and consistency in routines, meals, activities and relationships. We ask for godly and dedicated helpers who will bring out the best in him with a calm and caring spirit, and that he would respond with a gentle heart and find satisfaction even when change is hard. We pray for unity, love and compassion between him and his siblings, and that any division or negative influence would be removed and replaced with uplifting friendships and mentors. We ask that he would know he is included, respected, accepted and loved, and that his life would reflect the light and grace of Christ to others.

The Lord promises that where two or three gather in His name He is present among them, and we take comfort that He hears our prayers together. We do not claim to know exactly how or when He will answer, but we trust His goodness and His power to work for restoration, breakthrough and blessing in every area of your son's life, his health, his communication, his habits and his daily rhythms.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift this precious son to You. Pour out Your peace upon him, calm every anxious thought, ease every discomfort and let him rest without disturbance. Touch his mind, body and spirit with Your healing hand according to Your will. Guide his family and caregivers with Your wisdom. Let Your presence fill this home with safety and joy, and let Your light shine in any darkness. We thank You for every victory You have already given and for the work You are doing even now. Amen.
