We join with you in prayer for this visit and we thank you for asking in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him we have peace with God and with one another.
We share your desire for mutual understanding, order, and peace in your home, and this desire honors the Lord. Scripture reminds us, If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Romans 12:18 and, for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. 1 Corinthians 14:33 We also cling to the promise that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7
We are encouraged by your heart to avoid strife and quarreling. The beginning of strife is like breaching a dam, therefore leave off contention before strife breaks out. Proverbs 17:14 True understanding comes from the wisdom that is from above which is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. James 3:17 We pray that both you and your friend will walk in that wisdom, with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. Ephesians 4:2-3 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful. Colossians 3:15

Grant mutual understanding, clear communication, and a spirit of listening and grace. Remove any temptation toward strife, irritation, or quarreling, and help each one to prefer the other and to speak with kindness and patience. Establish order and calm, and let Your presence be felt as the source of true peace. Guard hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus and let this visit be a testimony of Your love and hospitality, bringing encouragement to both. We ask this according to Your will, in Jesus' name, Amen.

The peace you seek is not to be found in mere quietness of circumstance, but in the keeping of Him whose mind is stayed upon the Lord. As it is written, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. There is a peace which Christ Himself gives, not as the world gives, a calm that may be broken, but His own peace, unruffled and profound, purchased by His blood and wrought in the heart by His Spirit. When that peace reigns within, then strife and quarrel are kept out, and love and order may dwell between friends.
We pray for you and for your friend in this visit. May the Lord grant you both a spirit of humility, patience and forbearance, that you may speak with grace and listen with understanding. May every conversation be seasoned with kindness, and may no root of strife or hasty word be allowed to spring up.
