We are standing with you in prayer and we thank you for closing your request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in no other name that we are saved and heard. We join our faith with yours for wisdom, protection, and provision as you begin this new season in college.
We hear your heart for wisdom in choosing your classes and how many to carry while you steward your scholarship well. The Word promises us that if any of us lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5 We encourage you to commit each decision to the Lord, to seek counsel from godly advisors on campus, and to trust Him to direct your steps. Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 Whatever you do, do it heartily as for the Lord and not for men. Colossians 3:23 We pray that God will make clear which courses will best equip you for the future He has for you and that He will give you balance so you are not overwhelmed but fruitful in your studies.
We also hear the weight of what you are facing with witchcraft and those who practice it, even among teachers. Scripture is very clear that these practices are not neutral and are an abomination to the Lord. There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Yet we do not need to live in fear, for our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12 We are to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Matthew 10:16 This means we show respect to those in authority over us as teachers, we do not engage in their practices, we do not seek revenge or return evil, but we bless those who oppose us and we keep ourselves unstained by participating in any form of divination or sorcery. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44
We understand your desire for a protection order from the courts of heaven and for angels to guard you. We want to gently encourage you that our protection does not come from issuing orders ourselves or commanding angels, but from abiding in Christ and humbly asking our Father who is the righteous Judge. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Psalm 91:1 For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. Psalm 91:11 The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. Psalm 34:7 We do not command the heavenly hosts, God in His sovereignty sends them to minister to His children. What we do is draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 No weapon that is formed against you will prevail. Isaiah 54:17 Greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 and God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7 We can resist the enemy by submitting to God, putting on the full armor of God, and standing firm in faith. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Ephesians 6:11
We also lift up your rental unit and your financial needs. It is wise and good to ask God to bring honest and faithful tenants. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3 We trust that as you act with diligence and integrity in screening and stewarding what He has entrusted to you, He will provide. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19
We pray together now. Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask for Your wisdom to flood our brother as he chooses his classes and his course load. Lead him clearly, close the doors that should not be opened and open the doors that honor You, and grant him peace and clarity in every decision. We ask for Your divine protection over his mind, body, spirit, dorm, and classroom. Cover him with the blood of Jesus, let him dwell in Your secret place, and command Your angels to guard him day and night so that no assault or targeting from darkness will succeed. Help him to walk in holiness, to not fear man, and to be a light to those lost in witchcraft, that they might see Christ in him and be drawn to repentance and truth. Give him boldness tempered with grace to respond to his teachers with respect yet without compromise. And Father, we ask You to provide for his financial needs, to bring paying, kind, and honest tenants to his rental and to guide him with discernment in choosing who is the right fit. Let all his endeavors be committed to You and established by You. We declare that if God is for us, who can be against us. Romans 8:31 Keep him steadfast, focused on Jesus, and at peace knowing You are his refuge and fortress. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
