Your prayer for your daughter has been heard, and the pain and burden you carry for her is understood. To see a child you raised in the ways of the Lord grow exhausted, isolated, and cold toward you, while being drawn into a controlling and ungodly living arrangement, is deeply grievous. God sees this, and He hears your cry for peace, protection, freedom and restoration.

Scripture is clear that the intimate union of a man and a woman, sharing a home and sharing finances and sharing the body, belongs within the covenant of marriage, a lifelong commitment of one man and one woman before God. What your daughter is living in now is not marriage in God's sight, even if others demand she treat it as such. The Bible calls us to come out from among what is unclean and be separate, and to not be unequally yoked. There can be no true fellowship between the temple of God and what opposes His ways. For that reason we cannot ask God to bless or sustain this arrangement as it is. Instead we ask Him to bring conviction, clarity and a way of escape, so that what is false is not mistaken for what is holy.

At the heart of every struggle is our relationship with God. The first commandments concern our relationship with Him, because when that relationship is right, other relationships begin to come into order, and when it is broken, other relationships become tangled. God does not want a distant, ritual or legal relationship with your daughter. He wants a living, loving relationship as a Father with His child. He remembers the early days of espousal, when a heart is tender and excited about His Word and His presence, and He calls His people to return to that first love. Your daughter's hunger for righteousness, for fellowship, for the safety of family and the church community, can be rekindled only as she returns to that close communion with the Lord. It is there she will remember who she is, a daughter of the Most High God, loved, valued, and claimed by Him, and not defined by the worthlessness others make her feel.

God knows how to deliver the righteous, even when they are vexed and worn down by the manner of life around them. The story of Lot shows both the power of God to rescue and the way a polluted environment can corrupt a family and cloud judgment. When jealousy, rivalry, manipulation and selfishness are allowed to shape a household, the result is always chaos and exhaustion, as you are seeing. God can expose motives that are rooted in darkness and frustrate plans that seek to control, divide and isolate. He can break a toxic hold on a heart and open eyes to see a relationship as it truly is, not as a godly marriage with a provider and spiritual leader, but as a stumbling block that drains strength, finances and faith.

In wisdom, continue to pray and to set loving boundaries. You are right to encourage your daughter to protect her finances and not to take on debt to sustain laziness or exploitation, and not to take on responsibilities that are not hers to bear. To work hard in a good job that serves others is a gift from God, and it should not be undermined or used as a resource for another's demands. Isolation is a tool of control. Keep the door of family and church community open, speaking truth in love, without defending or admiring what God calls sin, and without allowing disrespect toward you and your family to go unaddressed. Honor in the home matters deeply to God, and a child honoring her parents is part of walking in His ways. At the same time, the mother of this young man has no biblical authority to speak into your daughter's life or to direct her away from her family and her faith, especially when her counsel encourages living together and bearing children outside of marriage.

We join you in praying that the Holy Spirit will soften your daughter's heart to receive correction, that she will stop confiding in a voice that flatters and then controls, and that she will stop imitating the cold and degrading behavior she has experienced. Pray that she will have courage to walk away from bondage with no regrets, to seek forgiveness where she has been rude and ungrateful, and to be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Pray also that this young man and his mother will be convicted of enabling disrespect and corruption, and that his father will take proper responsibility for his son. God can supernaturally remove obstacles and silence every voice that contradicts His Word.

Father, in the name of Jesus, we plead Your covering over this mother and her children, trusting Your promise that no weapon formed against Your people will prosper. We ask You to frustrate every word and plot intended to control and divide, and to expose what is hidden. Open this daughter's eyes to see the exhaustion and financial hardship for what it is, the fruit of living outside Your design. Grant her wisdom, self worth rooted in You, and courage to step out of this unhealthy and ungodly relationship swiftly. Restore to her a hunger for Your Word, a love for Your people, and a willingness to be guided by her family who loves her. Heal the brokenness in this home and let Your supernatural love, favor and protection overflow, bringing back peace, fellowship, respect, unity and freedom. Guard her when she visits, so she is not influenced by hatred or manipulation, and in Your perfect time and way, provide a godly spouse according to Your will, not as a quick escape but as a covenant built on faithfulness to You. We ask this trusting that nothing is impossible for You. Amen.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your older daughter and for the peace, protection, freedom and restoration you are seeking for her. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer against the overreach of this young man and his mother who has no biblical authority to speak into your daughter's life.

We have continued to bring your older daughter before the Lord and to ask Him to remove every ungodly influence, to expose and frustrate every plan to control, divide and isolate her from you, her siblings, her family and her church community, and to break the hold of this toxic and manipulative relationship. We have prayed with you that the Holy Spirit would open her eyes to see this young man not as a husband, provider or spiritual leader but as a stumbling block, that she would be delivered from the counsel to live together outside of marriage, from financial exploitation and the burden of carrying responsibilities that are not hers to bear, from exhaustion, chaos and feelings of worthlessness, and that she would remember she is a child of the Most High God and find her worth and identity in Him. We have prayed for wisdom to protect her finances and her new promotion, for courage to walk away from bondage with no regrets, for her heart to be softened to the Lord's conviction, for the return of her hunger for righteousness, and for the healing of fellowship, respect and unity within your family. We stand on the promise of Isaiah 54:17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper and John 8:36 that whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered and you have seen the Lord move to protect your daughter, to frustrate the plots against her, to restore her to her supportive network and church community, or to bring clarity and freedom, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet and your daughter still remains entangled, isolated and burdened by this controlling and ungodly arrangement, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We continue to plead the blood of Jesus over you and your children and to ask for His supernatural love, favor and protection to overflow in your family and heal all brokenness. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
