We join with you in this beautiful prayer for peace in the extended family and we thank God for your heart that desires to live out His Word even when it is difficult.
You have quoted a very powerful and challenging command from our Lord, But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you Luke 6:27-28. We agree with you that we cannot do this in our own strength, but only by His power and sufficient grace. For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure Philippians 2:13. Apart from Him we can do nothing, but through Christ we can obey.
We also hear your heart for forgiveness and for going beyond what we imagine for those who have hurt us. This is the very heart of the gospel. Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:32. When strife or old wounds linger in an extended family, the enemy seeks to bring division, but God calls us to be peacemakers. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God Matthew 5:9.

We appreciate how you are bringing your whole extended family before the Lord and asking for grace to live this out day by day. Wanting peace while also wanting to love well when there has been hurt is a heavy burden to carry, and we hear how sincerely you want His help for it.
One insight that steadies many people is that forgiveness often happens in two layers. There is the quiet decision to let go of getting even and to desire good rather than harm, and then there is the slower change in our feelings as resentment eases and compassion has room to grow. The second part rarely happens all at once, especially in family where old patterns resurface quickly. And choosing to forgive does not automatically mean everything goes back to how it was. Rebuilding trust takes willingness on both sides, and sometimes the most loving step is to keep a respectful boundary while you continue to pray.

Father, we humble ourselves as we bless You and forget none of Your benefits: Pardon of iniquities, Healing of All our diseases, the crowning our lives with tender-mercy and compassion, satisfying our years with good things so that our youth is renewed as the eagles, Ps 103:1-5. Forgive us, but we can't help but to ask for still more grace, James 4:6, to share The Word with these elderly loved ones as they've been enabled to hear, Mk 4:33, for grace to honor our parents, Eph 6:1-3, the command with promises, it will go well with us and we'll live long in the land. Powerfully provide everything they need for life and godliness, 2 Peter 1:3, emotional & bodily health and prosperity, even as their souls prosper, 3 Jn 1:2. We ask they (and we) GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, 2 Pet 3:18. Help them be established in the elementary principles of the Word of God, Heb 5:12, the foundational doctrines of the faith, Heb 6:1-3, and grow up into maturity, Eph 4:15, Col 1:10, culminating in love for You, others and fullness of the Holy Spirit's fruit, Phil 1:9-11; Gal 5:22-23.
We therefore ask for Blessing, Honor, GRACE, Immediate HEALING, Ex 15:26, for our family and extended family (and ourselves, kindly, Matt 7:7)... Kindly ask Healing at Present: Deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13: (hurt, harm, injury, sickness, sin and satan). In Jesus' Name we collectively rebuke sickness over matriarchal, Luke 4:39, and restrain evil people and the evil one from each, 2 Thes 3:2-3. Grant peace to be within their walls, Ps 122:7, even as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Ps 122:6, take us not out of the world, but keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, as You sanctify us in the truth of Your Word, John 17:17, wash us with the Water of The Word, Eph 5:26.
Open the eyes of our understanding with The Holy Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation, Eph 1:17-18, strengthen us by rooting and grounding us in love, that Christ dwells in our hearts by faith, Eph 3:16-19, and open our minds to not only understand the Scriptures, Luke 24:45, but to crave the sincere milk of the Word, 1 Peter 2:2, that we may grow thereby. Help us all to move from milk to solid food, 1 Cor 3:2. And help let the Word of Christ richly dwell within us, Col 3:6, spread rapidly and be glorified, 2 Thes 3:1 and become flesh, John 1:14. Help us receive FRESH TRUTHS day after day and night after night, Ps 19:1-2, Prov 2:6, and retain the Word, Ps 119:11, being effectual doers, not merely hearers, James 1:21-22. May this result in abiding communion with YOU, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit, 1 John 1:1-3, bear fruit of true discipleship by continuing in Your Word, John 8:31-32, making disciples, Matt 28:19-20, as Paul aspired to bear fruit among those beyond his sphere, Rom 1:13. We join you in giving thanks for the mercy, goodness and love of our God, and for the sufficient grace He gives to live out what His Word instructs. Your prayer takes up the hard and holy words of our Lord in Luke 6:27-28, to love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those who are abusive to you. Apart from His empowerment none of us can follow through with this truth, for it is contrary to nature and can only be wrought in us by the Spirit of God.
We pray that the Lord will grant you day by day the strength to obey, and that He will pour out His peace where it is needed in your extended family, and upon all who seek His covering on this site, upon your family, friends and loved ones.
The peace you seek is not a mere quietness of circumstance, but that perfect peace of which the prophet speaks, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed even when duties press and sorrows surge around, for the blood of Jesus whispers peace within. It is peace with God that is the fountain, and peace in the conscience is the crystal stream which issues from it. Christ has made peace by His blood, and He Himself is our peace. The peace He gives is not as the world gives, and it is not the false cry of peace, peace where there is no peace. It is a blessing which the Lord Himself bestows upon His people, a peace which is His own, calm and profound, flowing from the very throne of God.
If you would know this peace in your home, keep your mind stayed upon Christ and trust in Him. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Bear your sorrow with Him, bring every family care and every hurt to Him, for He is the God of peace and He will bless His people with peace. Forgiveness in Christ Jesus accepted by faith brings perfect rest and peace of heart, and where the Spirit of God dwells as the sacred Dove, there must be peace.
May the Lord teach you to go beyond what you imagine for those who have hurt you, to forgive as you have been forgiven, and to bless those who have cursed you, not in your own strength but in His.
