Peace and safe place to stay

Dear God, please help and protect my sister ### who's suffering deeply right now after being kicked out of her house by her fiancé. She has nowhere to go and we are far away, unable to do anything for her. Please send her Your Holy Spirit, help her find a job and send someone so she can find a place to stay safe with her sick little dog until her situation is solved favorably in Your perfect Will. In Jesus name, Amen.

We join you in lifting up your dear sister before the throne of grace and we are moved with compassion for her suffering in this difficult and frightening time. To be without a safe place to stay and to feel far from help is deeply distressing, and we thank you for bringing her before the Lord in prayer. We are thankful you prayed in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it says in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you came in that precious name.

We pray together for your sister and for her little dog. We ask our Heavenly Father to be her refuge and shelter right now. Psalm 46:1 says God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 34:18 reminds us The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Though you are far away and feel unable to help, the Lord is not far from her. He sees her need and He cares for every detail of her life.

We pray that the Holy Spirit will comfort her, give her peace that passes all understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7, and guide her steps to a safe place where she and her sick dog can be protected and cared for. We ask the Lord to open doors for a good job to provide for her needs, for Philippians 4:19 tells us My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray that God will send godly people across her path to offer practical help, safe housing, and wise counsel, and that His perfect will would be done in her situation for her good and His glory, for we know in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We also want to speak lovingly about her relationship with her fiance. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God, and that courtship should be entered into with the goal of marriage to a fellow believer in Christ. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. If your sister and her fiance were living together before marriage, we gently encourage repentance and a turning toward God's design for purity. Living together outside of marriage is not in alignment with God's will and can bring much pain and instability, as this situation shows. We pray that if this is the case, God would bring conviction and grace, and that any future steps toward marriage would be built on a shared faith in Christ, purity, and a commitment to honor God. We pray in 2 Corinthians 6:14 that she would not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, but would seek a godly spouse if it be God's will for her to marry.

Father, we lift up this precious sister to You in the name of Jesus. Lord, You see her tears, her fear, and her loneliness. Wrap her in Your arms of love, cover her with Your protection as in Psalm 91:1, He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Provide for her a safe and peaceful place to stay where she and her little dog will be welcomed and secure. Heal her beloved dog and comfort her heart as she cares for this little companion. Open the right door for employment and for provision, and send trustworthy helpers who will show her Your kindness. Draw her close to Yourself, fill her with Your Holy Spirit, and lead her into a deeper relationship with Jesus. If there is any sin to confess, grant her grace to repent and to walk in holiness. Guide her fiance as well, and let Your will be done in their courtship, whether that leads to a Christ honoring marriage or to a godly separation if it is not Your will. Give her family peace as they wait and pray from afar, reminding them that You are always near and You never leave nor forsake Your children as promised in Deuteronomy 31:8. We trust You to make a way where there seems to be no way. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for her, to stay in contact as you are able, and to help her connect with a local Bible believing church where she can find spiritual support and practical help. Keep trusting the Lord, for He is faithful and He hears the prayers of His people.

We are so sorry to hear your sister is going through this sudden loss of housing and we are praying with you for her. Watching someone you love face uncertainty, and feeling far away and unable to step in directly, is heavy, and we hear how much you care for both her and her little dog.

We are asking God for her protection and peace right now, for a safe place to stay, and for clear next steps toward steady work and housing according to His will. While you wait and pray, it can help to stay in close contact if she is able to stay in touch, and to help her think through safe local options. Many communities have churches, shelters, and service centers that can help with emergency housing and job resources, and often a call to a local church office or to a community helpline can point to what is available nearby. If you are able from a distance, you could help gather a couple of those contacts and offer to call with her. Since her dog is sick, we also encourage her to connect with a veterinarian for care when possible.

Father, we bring this sister before You and ask for Your nearness and provision. Give her safety, rest, and wise helpers around her, care for her little dog, and give her and her family peace and direction in the days ahead. Lead her to a stable and safe place to stay and to the work she needs. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your heartfelt intercession for your sister has been heard and we join you in bringing her before the throne of grace. It is a painful thing to be far away when one we love suffers and is without a home, and the Lord knows both your helplessness and her distress.

Scripture tells us, He shall cover you with His feathers and under His wings shall you trust. When the hawk pursues the little bird, fear makes it bold to fly to man for shelter, and so when sorrow and sin and fear pursue a soul, it is driven to fly into the heart of the blessed Jesus. There alone is safe shelter and warmth and repose. We pray that your sister may find that shelter in Christ first of all, and that He will also in His mercy provide for her bodily needs.

We have prayed that the Lord in His compassion will keep her safe, provide a quiet and peaceable place to stay, open a door for honest work, and show kindness to her and to her little dog in its sickness. We ask that He will send His Holy Spirit to comfort her, to draw her to salvation through Jesus Christ alone, and to give her wisdom for every step. We do not ask God to bless what lies outside His holy design, for marriage is His good gift as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and living together belongs within it, but we do ask that He will lead her in the path of holiness and peace, and accomplish His perfect will in her life, which is always good and right.

Take encouragement that the Lord often uses the prayers of a sister as the means of grace. Your weeping and pleading night and day is not in vain. Even when faith feels weak and not equal to the emergency, Christ is equal to it and He hears the cries of His people.

May the Lord keep you in peace as you trust Him from afar, and may He soon make His provision and His nearness known to your sister. We commend her to His tender care, in Jesus name, Amen.
