Disciple of Prayer
Oh Lord help me with a place to sleep a place to take my children in Jesus might name I pray I know am not perfect oh Lord for give my sins

We hear your cry for help and for a safe place for you and your children and we join with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' mighty name. We are moved that you came humbly before the Lord acknowledging your need for forgiveness, for we all fall short and need His mercy.

The Word tells us If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9. We thank God that you called upon the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to the Father. It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard and our sins are forgiven, as it is written for Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Romans 10:13.

We also hear the urgency and burden you carry for your children. God has a special heart for families in need and for those without shelter. He is a Father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. Psalm 68:5. He sees you and your children right now and He cares deeply for your situation.

We lift you up together in prayer.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear parent and these precious children to You. Lord You see their need for a place to sleep, for shelter and safety. You know every detail of their struggle. We ask in Jesus name that You would open a door for a safe place to stay, that You would provide housing and provision according to Your riches in glory. We pray that You would surround this family with Your protection and peace and lead them to people and resources that can help them in this time of need. Forgive their sins as they have asked, cleanse them and draw them closer to You. Give them strength, wisdom and hope for each step forward. Let them feel Your presence as their refuge and strength. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We want to encourage you with the promises of God. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1. And My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19. Jesus Himself invites us Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28. He is able to give you rest even while you are waiting for His provision to be made visible.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him in prayer and in His Word, and also to reach out for practical help. Please contact a local Bible believing church, pastor or Christian ministry in your area and let them know of your need for housing for you and your children. God often provides through His people, and they may be able to connect you with shelter, resources and ongoing support. Continue to trust Him and keep asking, for it is written Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. Matthew 7:7.

We are praying with you for God's provision, protection and forgiveness to be made evident in your life and for a safe place to be provided very soon. May the Lord keep you and your children in His care and lead you into His peace.

We have been praying as we read your request. Needing a place to sleep tonight for you and your children is such a heavy burden, and we are grateful you brought it so honestly before the Lord, asking for His forgiveness and His help.

You are not alone in this, and you did the right thing reaching out. In moments like this, trying to solve everything by yourself can feel paralyzing. What has helped many families is reaching out quickly to people nearby who can help with the practical side while we continue to pray.

If you have not already, we encourage you to connect today with a local church, a shelter, or your city's housing assistance or social services office and let them know you and your children need safe housing right away. They often know about emergency beds, short term housing, and help with food and rent, and can go with you step by step. If possible, bring identification and any important papers for you and the children, and ask a trusted friend or family member to go with you so you are not carrying this alone.

Father, we lift this parent and these children to You in Jesus' name. Provide a safe place to sleep tonight, watch over them, forgive sins through the blood of Jesus, and give wisdom and steady help from caring people nearby. Lead them to the right doors and keep them safe in Your care. Amen.

Your prayer has come before the Lord and before His people, and it is a prayer He delights to hear, for you ask for two things which He loves to give, forgiveness and shelter.

You say, I know I am not perfect, O Lord, forgive my sins. Hear the word of the Lord concerning this very cry, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. It is a divine forgiveness. Were all men to hiss at you and turn from you, yet if God forgives you, you may enter heaven. And it is a surprising forgiveness, so surprising that the Lord repeats it, I, even I, lest any of us should doubt it. And it is a complete forgiveness. Suppose you call upon your creditor and say, I have nothing to pay with, He does not forgive a part and leave a part, He blots out the whole debt.

There is forgiveness. Let this whisper drive away despair. However sinful your life may have been up until now, there is forgiveness with God even for you. You know something about the hardness of your heart and the sinfulness of your past life, yet God sends this message to you, There is forgiveness. Where God draws no limit, do not you draw any. It does not say there is forgiveness for this sin or for that, but there is forgiveness. There is forgiveness now, at this moment, and that forgiveness is only to be obtained from God, through Jesus Christ His Son, who died the Just for the unjust that He might bring us to God. He not only forgave at the first all our sins, but He continues daily to forgive, for the act of forgiveness is a continuous one, and it is an eternal forgiveness. Do as Luther did when his heart was dark, and say with the Creed, I believe in the forgiveness of sins, and believe in the forgiveness of sins for yourself. Come with a penitent heart and put your trust in Christ, and the Lord promises oblivion to all your debt.

You also cry, Oh Lord help me with a place to sleep, a place to take my children. The Lord is that place. He says, He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. I like to hear my heavenly Father's voice, but we could never come to a state of peace in such times as these if we did not feel that He was near, that He was our Friend, that He would not hurt the children of His own love. When the children of Israel were in hard servitude and cruel oppression, God looked upon the children of Israel and God had respect unto them. In the season of their direst grief God was All in All to them. So will He be to you and to your little ones. You may try to satisfy your soul with earthly comforts, but wife and children, dear as they are, cannot fully fill the heart without the Lord Himself. You need something more, and He will be that more to you, a safe shelter while you have no roof that you can call your own.

Let us pray for you together.

O Lord our God, with whom there is forgiveness, look upon this weary parent and these dear children. For Jesus Christ's sake blot out every transgression, wash away every sin, and let this soul know the certainty and completeness of pardon now. Be Thou their shelter and their dwelling place. Cover them with Thy feathers, provide for them a place to sleep in safety, bread to eat and a door to be opened by Thy providence. Keep the little ones from harm and keep this parent's heart from despair, and draw the whole household to trust wholly in Thy Son. In Jesus mighty name we ask it, Amen.

Cast your care upon Him, for He careth for you. Seek Him first for the forgiveness of your sins through faith in Christ, and then ask Him daily for your daily bread and shelter, and seek also the help of a faithful local church near you who can know your need face to face and bear your burden with you.

Your prayer for a place to stay for you and your children has been heard, and I join with you in bringing it before the Lord today. I hear the weight you are carrying, the need for a safe place to sleep and the love you have for your children, and God sees and cares for you in this hardship.

You also prayed with a humble heart, saying you know you are not perfect and asking for forgiveness. That humility is precious to God. Scripture teaches us to confess our sins directly and honestly to Him, not in vague words only, but telling Him what weighs on our conscience, so that we may know the greatness of His mercy. The promise is clear, if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness through Jesus Christ. Forgiveness and salvation come through Jesus alone, by His death and resurrection, when we turn from sin and put our trust in Him.

Let us pray together now.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I lift up this parent and these children to You. You know their need for shelter, for safety, for a place to rest. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Please provide for them a safe place to stay, open doors of help and provision, and surround these children with Your protection. Forgive sins as they are confessed to You, wash them clean by the blood of Jesus, and give a renewed heart that seeks to walk with You. Give peace in place of fear, and guide every step forward. Provide wisdom to know where to turn and bring faithful people around them to help. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen.

Please do not carry this burden alone. If you can, reach out today to a local Bible believing church, pastor, or Christian shelter in your area and let them know your situation so they can help you find safe housing and practical support for you and your children. Keep praying, keep seeking the Lord in His Word, and keep trusting that He hears those who call on Him through Christ. He loves you and He is able to provide.

Your honest cry for a safe place to sleep and to shelter your children has been heard, and your humble confession that you are not perfect and need forgiveness is precious to God.

The Lord is full of grace and mercy, goodness and truth, and His forgiveness is complete. The Bible teaches that when God forgives through Jesus Christ, He blots out the past and remembers it no more. To be justified means God treats you just as though you never sinned. This is not because of good works you have done, but because of what Jesus did when He died for your sins. You become a child of God by faith in Him, and as His child you can receive that total forgiveness and walk in new life.

Forgiveness is not a matter of counting how many times, but a matter of the heart. God commands it and He will give you the willing heart to receive it and to live in it, if you are willing to ask Him. You can pray simply, Lord, forgive my sins through Jesus, take away any bitterness, and give me a spirit that rests in Your mercy. If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive you and to cleanse you.

God also has a tender heart for your children. Jesus welcomed little children and said the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. The Lord promises to pour His Spirit and blessing upon your children and upon their children. He sees their vulnerability and He cares about protecting and providing for them. The sorrows and struggles of parents do affect children, which is why your desire to find a safe and stable place for them is so important and right. Do not be harsh with them in this stressful time, but lead them with gentleness and love, following the example of God who has forgiven you and calls you to walk in love.

I am praying for you now that God, who knows your need for shelter, will open a door for a safe place for you and your children to stay, that He will provide for your daily needs, and that He will surround you with people who can help in practical ways. I pray that you will know His peace as you trust Him, that you will rest in the assurance that your sins are forgiven in Christ, and that you and your children will experience His protection and blessing.

If you have not already, put your full trust in Jesus alone for salvation, turn from what you know is wrong, and follow Him. Seek help from faithful believers near you who can support you with shelter and care while you take these next steps. The Lord who forgives you is also the Lord who provides for you. May He give you rest, a home, and renewed hope in the days ahead.
