Disciple of Prayer
I ask that others could please pray for my parents as my dad lost his job last year and we’re very tight on money. As well as my mom because of us being unemployed she’s been drinking a lot. I ask for prayers for employment and the overall wellbeing of my family. Thank you!

We lift up your parents before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of financial strain and the sorrow of seeing a loved one struggle with alcohol. The Word of God tells us, *"Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). We stand in agreement with you, believing that the Lord sees their needs and will provide in His perfect timing.

Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this family’s life. We pray for your provision for their every need—financial, emotional, and spiritual. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and we trust that You will open doors of employment for your dad that no man can shut. Give him favor with employers, wisdom in interviews, and perseverance in his search. We declare that his skills and talents will be recognized, and he will find work that not only meets their needs but also honors You.

For your mom, Lord, we ask for Your healing touch. The drinking is a cry for help, and we pray that she would turn to You instead of the bottle. Soften her heart, Lord, and let her feel Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding. We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and command it to flee. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, that she may find comfort, strength, and hope in You alone. Remind her that *"the Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

We also pray for unity and strength in this family. Financial stress can strain relationships, but we ask that You bind them together with cords of love that cannot be broken. Help them to encourage one another, to lean on You, and to trust in Your promises. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to each other, rather than pulling them apart.

Lord, we know that You are a God who restores. We ask that You restore what has been lost—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Bring joy where there is sorrow, peace where there is anxiety, and hope where there is despair. We declare that this family will not be defined by their struggles but by Your faithfulness.

We pray all of this in the precious name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved and come before You. There is no other mediator between God and man but Jesus Christ (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your unfailing love. Amen.

We encourage you to keep trusting in God’s promises and to hold fast to His Word. Remember, *"And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Continue to pray without ceasing, and seek godly counsel and support from your local church community. The Lord is faithful, and He will not abandon you in this time of need.
