Good and Faithful Servant
Both my parents are severely demonized. There are multiple factors in their lives that caused this and they had similar lives growing up. Both of them are professing Christians - but my dad is very confused and has been exposed to things like Catholicism and even voodoo in his life. My mom still holds to false teachings. Because of this demonization, both my parents often have difficult relationships with the people in their life as they are often used by the enemy to harm the people in their life. My dad is often used by the enemy to discourage me especially at times where I'm happy about something. For example, I've started working this year (but I work from home). Sometimes after a shift, I'll come downstairs happy and excited about work and my dad will literally have an attitude with me for absolutely no reason that I can tell. I'm tired of experiencing this kind of behavior from him. His family is very wicked and they put my sisters and mother through so much when my mom and dad first got married (I wasn't born yet). They encouraged my dad to be a bad father and husband and left scars that my sisters and mom still have to deal with today. His family is from a country that is globally known for being dangerous and unsafe and has a bad reputation around the world and, honestly, their behavior only affirms that reputation. As someone who is of the same ethnicity as them, their behavior shames me because they make everyone in my culture look so bad. I get so angry about it. Please pray for me about all this. Thank you.

We hear the deep pain and frustration in your words, and our hearts ache with you as you navigate the spiritual and emotional turmoil in your family. The enemy seeks to destroy families, marriages, and generations through deception, bondage, and division, but we stand firm in the truth that Jesus Christ has already overcome the powers of darkness. We rebuke every demonic influence over your parents in the mighty name of Jesus. The Bible declares in James 4:7, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We take authority over every spirit of confusion, discouragement, bitterness, and generational sin that has taken hold in your family line, and we command them to leave in Jesus' name.

Your parents' exposure to false teachings, Catholicism, and even voodoo has opened doors to spiritual deception, and we pray for their eyes to be opened to the truth of God’s Word. The apostle Paul warns in 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, "And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light. It is no great thing therefore if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works." We pray that your parents would renounce every false belief and practice, turning fully to the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. We also pray for their protection from further deception, that they would be rooted and grounded in the truth of Scripture.

The behavior of your father’s family is deeply troubling, and we understand the shame and anger you feel as a result. However, we must remind you that their actions do not define you or your identity in Christ. You are not responsible for their sins, but you can choose to break the cycle of generational iniquity through prayer, forgiveness, and walking in the light of God’s Word. Romans 12:21 tells us, "Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." We encourage you to release your anger to God, asking Him to help you see your family through His eyes and to respond with grace rather than bitterness.

We also lift up your father’s discouraging words and attitudes toward you. The enemy seeks to steal your joy and dim your light, but we declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that God would give you wisdom in how to respond to your father, that you would speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and set healthy boundaries where necessary. Remember, your worth and identity are found in Christ alone, not in the approval or disapproval of others.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear brother/sister and their family to You. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who hears the cries of Your children and who delights in setting the captives free. We ask that You would break every chain of demonic influence over this family, particularly over these parents. We rebuke every spirit of confusion, discouragement, bitterness, and generational sin in Jesus’ mighty name. We declare that Your light will shine into the darkness of their lives, exposing every lie and false teaching that has taken root.

Father, we pray for this brother/sister’s parents, that You would draw them to a deeper understanding of Your truth. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word and renounce every false belief and practice. Protect them from further deception, Lord, and surround them with godly influences who will speak life and truth into their lives. We ask that You would heal the wounds of the past, both for them and for their children, and restore what the enemy has stolen.

Lord, we also pray for this brother/sister’s heart. Guard them against bitterness and anger, and help them to extend grace and forgiveness to their family, even as You have forgiven them. Give them wisdom in how to respond to their father’s discouragement, and fill them with Your joy and peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them daily of their identity in Christ and the calling You have placed on their life.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who redeems and restores. We trust that You are working in this family, even now, to bring about Your purposes and glory. May Your name be praised in their lives, and may this brother/sister continue to walk in the freedom and victory that is theirs in Christ Jesus. In His precious and powerful name we pray, Amen.

We're here for you, dear friend. We feel your pain and frustration, and we want you to know that you're not alone in this. We're standing with you, praying with you, and believing with you for breakthrough in your family.

We've been reflecting on your situation, and we want to share a few more things with you. First, remember that God is a God of restoration and healing. He wants to mend the broken relationships in your family, and He wants to set your parents free from the demonic influences that have held them captive for so long. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Trust that God is at work in their lives, even when you can't see it.

Second, we want to encourage you to keep praying for your parents, but also to prioritize your own spiritual health. It's important to set boundaries, not out of bitterness or anger, but out of a desire to protect your own peace and well-being. As Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of forgiveness. It's not easy, and it's not always a feeling, but it's a choice that sets you free. As Jesus said in Matthew 6:14-15, "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins."

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our dear friend and their family. Lord, we thank You that You are a God who heals, restores, and sets captives free. We ask that You would break every chain of demonic influence over our friend's parents. We pray for a spirit of revelation to open their eyes to the truth of Your Word, and for a spirit of repentance to turn their hearts back to You. We also pray for our friend, that You would give them wisdom in setting boundaries, and that You would fill them with Your peace and joy. Help them to forgive, even as You have forgiven them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the trust you placed in us by sharing such a deep and personal prayer request. It has been our privilege to stand with you in prayer for your parents, your family, and your own heart as you navigate these heavy burdens. We have been lifting up your father and mother before the Lord, asking Him to break every chain of demonic influence in their lives and to bring true clarity, repentance, and healing to their spirits. We have prayed that the Holy Spirit would expose every false teaching and every ungodly tie, replacing confusion with the pure light of God’s Word.

We have also prayed for you, asking the Lord to strengthen you in patience, wisdom, and grace as you interact with your parents. It is not easy to endure moments when the enemy uses those we love to bring discouragement, especially when it feels so unjust. We’ve asked God to guard your heart from bitterness, to fill you with His peace, and to help you respond in love even when faced with unprovoked negativity. Father, we’ve prayed that you would experience His joy untainted by the enemy’s schemes, and that your own faith would remain steadfast and unshaken.

We’ve also interceded for your mother and sisters, asking the Lord to heal the deep wounds left by your father’s family and to restore what has been broken. We’ve asked God to surround them with His protection and to give them the courage to walk in forgiveness while still standing firm in truth. For your father’s family, we’ve prayed that the Lord would either bring them to repentance or render their influence powerless, so that their wickedness would no longer have a foothold in your lives.

If the Lord has moved in any of these areas—whether in your parents’ hearts, your family’s dynamics, or your own spirit—we would be so encouraged to hear a praise report from you. Your testimony could be a source of hope for others walking through similar struggles. If, however, the battle still rages and you feel no change, please know that we are still here with you. We will continue to stand in the gap, lifting up these needs before our Heavenly Father, trusting that His timing and His ways are perfect.

Do not hesitate to post this request again if you feel led. We are committed to praying alongside you until the Lord brings breakthrough. May He draw near to you in this season, filling you with His comfort, His strength, and His unshakable hope. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
