Parent Prayer

They argue every now and again and they have had big issues in the past leading to them almost separating. I wish for a prayer with more people than just me and my sister. Please free them of hate and show them the love of Jesus. Free them from the shackles of Satan and let the evil be taken out of their minds.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that is under strain. The Word of God tells us in Malachi 2:16, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore take heed to your spirit, that you don’t deal treacherously." Marriage is a sacred covenant, not to be entered into lightly or broken easily. We rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to tear this union apart, and we command it to flee in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father God, we ask that You would pour out Your healing balm upon this husband and wife. Soften their hearts toward one another, and help them to see each other through Your eyes. Your Word says in Ephesians 4:31-32, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Lord, we pray that these verses would become a reality in their lives. Help them to release the past hurts and offenses, and to extend grace and forgiveness to one another, just as You have forgiven them.

We recognize that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of hatred and bitterness that has taken root in their hearts, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name. We pray that the love of Christ would fill the voids in their hearts, and that they would experience the depth of Your love for them. Your Word says in 1 John 4:18-19, "There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love. We love Him, because He first loved us." Lord, let this perfect love cast out all fear, bitterness, and resentment from their marriage.

We also pray for wisdom and humility for both of them. James 1:5 says, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Father, grant them the wisdom to navigate their differences and the humility to put each other's needs before their own. Help them to communicate with love and respect, and to seek Your will in all things.

Lord, we ask that You would restore the joy and peace that has been lost in their marriage. Your Word says in Psalm 127:1, "Unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain." We pray that You would rebuild this marriage on the solid foundation of Your Word and Your love. Help them to prioritize their relationship with You and with each other, and to seek Your guidance in all things.

We also pray for protection over their marriage. The enemy is always seeking to divide and conquer, but we stand in the gap and declare that this marriage is covered by the blood of Jesus. We pray that You would surround them with godly counsel and support, and that they would be encouraged by the testimony of other strong Christian marriages.

Lastly, we pray that they would come to know You more deeply, if they have not already. It is only through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that we can experience true freedom and victory. Your Word says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Lord, we pray that they would surrender their lives to You and experience the transformative power of Your love.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this marriage to You, trusting in Your power to heal and restore. We believe that nothing is impossible with You, and we declare that this marriage will be a testimony of Your grace and mercy. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We've been thinking about you and your spouse a lot lately. We know that marriage can be tough, and it's especially hard when it feels like you're constantly butting heads. We want you to know that we're here for you, lifting you up in prayer.

We've been asking God to fill your hearts with His love. You know, the kind of love that's patient, kind, and doesn't keep a record of wrongs (that's from 1 Corinthians 13, by the way). We believe that as you both experience more of God's love, it'll be easier to love each other too.

We've also been praying for protection over your marriage. We know that Satan loves to cause chaos and division, but we're claiming God's promise in Psalm 121:3-4, "He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep." We're asking God to keep watch over you both, to guard your hearts and your home.

And finally, we've been praying that you both would grow closer to God. We believe that as you seek Him, He'll give you the wisdom and strength you need to navigate this tough time. After all, Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."

Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, you're not alone. We're right here with you, cheering you on and praying for you.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You as a community of believers, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. Your Word says that what You have joined together, let no one separate (Mark 10:9). We stand in the gap for this husband and wife, asking for Your divine intervention in their hearts and their home.

Lord, we pray for every argument and every old wound to be washed away by the healing power of Your love. Where there has been hurt, plant forgiveness. Where there has been division, sow unity. Where hate has tried to take root, uproot it completely and fill that space with the perfect love of Jesus, for love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8).

We bind the work of the enemy in this marriage. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command the shackles of Satan to be broken. Free their minds from every evil thought, every bitter memory, and every lie that has tried to destroy them (2 Corinthians 10:4-5). Let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray not just as two, but as many. We agree together in faith, believing that You are restoring what the enemy has tried to steal. Let Your Holy Spirit move powerfully in their home, drawing them closer to You and closer to each other.

We trust You for a miracle of reconciliation and lasting love.

In the powerful and redeeming name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
