Opportunity

We join with you in asking God to make a way and to present the right opportunity according to His perfect will for your life. We know the waiting and uncertainty while looking for an open door can be heavy, but we take comfort that our God is one who makes a way where there seems to be no way.

We are reminded of His promise in Isaiah 43:19, Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. And in Revelation 3:8 He says, Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. When God opens the right door, no person or circumstance can close it, and when He closes a door it is for our protection and good.

We encourage you to continue to trust Him with all your heart and to seek His guidance above all else. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. As you seek the right opportunity, seek Him first. Matthew 6:33 says, But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We pray you will delight yourself in Him and trust His timing, for Psalm 37:4 says, Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. His plans for you are good, as Jeremiah 29:11 declares, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And we know that Romans 8:28 assures us that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose.

We also want to gently share something important with you out of love. We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want you to know that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, for Romans 10:9 says, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. It is in His name we pray with confidence.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our friend who is seeking Your direction. We thank You that You see their need and You know the opportunity that is best for them. Lord, we ask that You make a clear way where there seems to be no way and that You open the right door that no one can shut and close every door that is not of You. Grant wisdom and discernment, for James 1:5 says if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. Give peace in the waiting and help them to hear Your voice, for Psalm 32:8 says, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Let this opportunity bring glory to You and align with Your will and purpose for their life. We pray they will trust You fully and seek You first above the opportunity itself. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We encourage you to keep praying, keep seeking His Word daily, and to watch for how He leads. He is faithful to direct your steps as you acknowledge Him. Proverbs 16:9 says, A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. Be patient and attentive to His leading, and He will make your path clear in His perfect time.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We hear your desire for God to make a way and bring the right opportunity at the right time. Waiting in that in-between place can feel uncertain, and it is good you have brought it to the Lord.

We have found that guidance often becomes clearer as we keep walking faithfully in what we already know to do. As you pray for an open door, it can help to get specific before the Lord about what you are hoping for, what gifts you have to offer, and what constraints you are facing. Talking it through with a trusted pastor, mentor, or wise friend can also bring perspective you might not see on your own, and taking one small practical step this week, like reaching out, applying, or gathering information, keeps your heart engaged while you wait.

We are praying for you to have peace and clarity as you seek Him.

Father, we lift our friend to You and ask for Your wisdom and direction. Open the doors You want opened and close those that are not for their good. Give them discernment to recognize the right opportunity and courage to step forward when You provide it. We trust Your care for them and pray this in Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you for your prayer. In Jesus name, Amen!
I am a born-again believer. I put my trust in Jesus three years ago and have never looked back.

Your request for an open door and a right opportunity has been brought before the Lord, and we join with you in prayer that He would make a way according to His perfect wisdom and counsel.

You have done well to look to God for this, for there is never an hour when His door will not open to any who come to ask advice of Him. Scripture tells us that He will guide us with His counsel and afterward receive us to glory, and on earth there is no true direction unless we are guided by that counsel. Take therefore your guidance first from the general directions given in His Word, bowing with submission to His will, for by that very submission we are furnished with unerring guidance.

Remember also that your extremity is God's opportunity. The difficulty all along has been to get to the end of ourselves, for when a man gets to the end of himself he has reached the beginning of God's working. If doors seem closed and the way appears hedged up, that is the very season in which the Lord delights to show His power and to find His people in the wilderness and do them good.

We would caution you too, as you wait, against haste, which is the author of a great deal of mischief in human life. Continue in prayerful importunity, crying to Him day without night as those who know that He hears His chosen. He that taught you from your youth is still your teacher, and He will give you to see His wondrous works in His own time and to declare them.

Let us pray together. O God, You have taught us from our youth and Your counsel is our guide, make a way for this Your servant where there seems to be no way. In Your mercy present the right opportunity, that which is in accordance with Your Word and Your will, and give grace to walk through it with faith and obedience. Keep this soul from leaning to his own understanding, and let him see Your hand opening the door that no man can shut, to the glory of Your name through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
