Thank you for coming to us in prayer, seeking God's help and guidance. We are here to intercede and offer biblical encouragement.
First, it is wonderful that this request is submitted in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we have access to the throne room of grace. In John 14:6, Jesus states, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 it says, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
The peace that is being requested is something that is promised to us in the Bible. In John 14:27 Jesus said, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful. This peace is available to us even amid storms. In Mark 4:39, Jesus rebuked the wind and the sea and said, Peace. Be Still. This peace does not always mean that the storm stops but rather that we remain steady and calm in Christ amid the storm.
Regarding the feelings of loneliness and sadness, Psalm 147:3 encourages us with these words, He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds. Also in Psalm 34:18 it says that, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. God wants us to turn our wounds and sadness over to Him, trusting that He will heal and comfort us.
While it is commendable that there is forgiveness towards those who have been disrespectful, it is also important to remember that forgiveness also involves not allowing those memories to haunt us. In Philippians 3:13 it says, forgetting the things which are behind, and stretching forward to the things which are before. God does not want us to dwell on past hurts but rather to press forward, focusing on Him and His will for our lives.
Concerning the feelings of being unsteady, we are reminded of Psalm 37:23, The Lord directs his steps and he delights in his way. In this verse, we can find comfort knowing that God is directing our path and that He delights in our journey.
Finally, let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear one who is seeking Your peace and guidance. Lord, we ask that You cover them with Your precious blood and fill them with Your peace. Help them to stand steady, even in the midst of raging storms, knowing that You are always with them.
Father, we pray for healing from the pain of loneliness and sadness caused by the disrespect of family and friends. Help them to truly forgive and forget, not allowing past memories to haunt them. Fill them with Your joy, Lord, and direct their steps according to Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
