O You Lord Jesus! Just You!

Disciple of Prayer
O You Lord Jesus! Just You! It is You who heard my cry many years ago, and you showed me mercy, and lovingkindness. I was so lost, and dead in my sins. Suicide looked like the only option for me. Then that one night in the wee hours of the morning, I called out to You, and You heard me, and answered me. I then became born again. Forgiven, and saved by Your shed blood with my name written in the Lamb's book of Life. Shortly thereafter You baptized me with the Holy Ghost, and fire, with the speaking of tongues. You then called, and placed me within the ministry of prophet. What can I say, but thank You so VERY MUCH for what You have done in my life that which I could not nor could anyone else. How I desire to continue to know You in service, and revelation, and how I long to one day see You face to face. Tears run down my face because I want to see the One who hung on a cross, and shed His blood, and died for me, and then rose from the grave three days later. I LOVE YOU SO JESUS! MY JESUS, YOU ARE MY FIRST LOVE, LOVING YOU WITH ALL MY HEART, SOUL, MIND, AND STRENGTH!!!! In Jesus' name! Amen!

We rejoice with you in the incredible testimony of God’s mercy and grace in your life! What a powerful reminder of His faithfulness, how He hears the cry of the lost, rescues the broken, and calls us into His purposes. Your love for Jesus shines brightly, and we are deeply encouraged by your passion to know Him more, serve Him faithfully, and long for the day you will see Him face to face.

The Lord has indeed done a mighty work in you, saving you from darkness, filling you with His Spirit, and setting you apart for ministry. As you continue in your calling as a prophet, we pray that He would deepen your intimacy with Him, sharpen your discernment, and empower you to speak His truth with boldness and love. May your heart always burn with the same fervor you express here, for Jesus is worthy of all our devotion.

We lift you up before the throne of grace, asking the Father to sustain you in every season. May He guard your heart from discouragement, strengthen you in times of testing, and fill you afresh with the fire of the Holy Spirit. May your ministry bear much fruit for His kingdom, and may your life continue to be a living testimony of His redeeming power.

"But you, beloved, keep building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourselves in God’s love, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life." (Jude 1:20-21)

"I press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 3:14)

Father, we thank You for this dear brother/sister in Christ. Thank You for the work You have done and continue to do in their life. We ask that You would draw them even closer to Your heart, revealing more of Yourself to them each day. Protect their calling, refresh their spirit, and let their love for You grow stronger with each passing moment. May they walk in the fullness of what You have prepared for them, bringing glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We don't have much to add, friend, just that we're sitting here with you in the same deep wonder. Sometimes a life is so plainly pulled from the pit that the only right response is the one you're already giving: tears, gratitude, and a heart straining toward the One who saved you. Thank you for letting us listen in. Your testimony does something in us, too. It reminds us that Jesus is still in the business of hearing desperate cries in the middle of the night and answering with more mercy than we knew existed.

We're praying that this fresh wave of love you're feeling doesn't just wash over you and recede, but carries you steadily into whatever service and revelation He has next. When you long for that day you'll see Him face to face, you can trust Him with that longing, He gave it to you, and He'll fulfill it in His time. In the meantime, we simply ask Him to keep you close, to deepen your discernment as He uses you in the lives of others, and to let the fire He lit in you burn steady and clean.

Jesus, thank You for what You did in this dear brother's life when suicide seemed like the only door. Thank You that You didn't pass by that night. Guard his first love for You. Strengthen him in the calling You've placed on him, and give him daily grace to walk it out with humility and power. We can't wait to join him in seeing You face to face. In Your name, Amen.

I read your words with a glad heart, for they are the overflow of a soul that has been washed in the precious blood and sealed by the Holy Spirit. When you cry, “O You Lord Jesus! Just You!” it is as the voice of the bride in the Song, who saith, “Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.” This love is not of nature, but of grace; it springs from the shined light, the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. In that dark hour, when you saw no hope but the grave, He commanded the light to shine out of your darkness, and you beheld His glory, not as a distant Deity, but as the bleeding, risen Lamb. That is the heart of all true religion: not a Christless theism, but God in Christ drawing near to the chief of sinners. And now He has placed you among His servants, even as a prophet. Let this calling never puff you up, but humble you into a nothingness that He might be all in all. For what is any ministry but reflecting His light, pointing to His face, and proclaiming His name?

Yet suffer a word of earnest entreaty. You speak of Jesus as your first love, and rightly so; but the Lord remembers the kindness of our youth, the love of our espousals. Have you not observed how many let that early flame sink into lukewarm embers? The absence of love to Christ is the loss of one of the greatest of spiritual pleasures, and of much of our power. Oh, guard your heart. Let not the world’s cares or the deceitfulness of sin chill that holy affection. If you love Him, you will imitate Him; if you love Him, you will love His people. The test of love is not in tearful moments alone, but in a life that sets the face like a flint to follow His commands and to bless His least brethren. Show your love by deeds; it is safer to give a cup of cold water in His name than to boast of visions.

You long to see Him face to face, and that longing is a proof of sonship. The thought of those first moments in heaven, when the soul, filled with amazement, exclaims, “The half has never been told me!”, is enough to make us weep indeed. But while we wait, we are not without that vision. For even now, by faith, the glory of God shines in the face of Jesus Christ into our hearts. Serve Him then with all might, for the night cometh. Let your love constrain you, not to a soft effeminacy, but to holy courage. And when tears fall because He is not yet seen, let them fall not as despair, but as dew upon the ground of a steadfast hope, for He that shall come will come. Dwell in love, for God is love, and there is no higher nobility. Press on, dear heir of glory, and keep your eyes fixed where the morning is breaking.

Praise God and thank you for sharing your story - Thank you Lord for intervening and saving our friend. Prayers in Jesus name.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your cry of thanksgiving rises like incense, and it is good. To recall the pit from which you were dug, the mire of despair where death seemed the only shadow, and to now stand as a living testimony to the mercy of Christ, this is the very song of the redeemed. You say, "I was so lost, and dead in my sins," and indeed, those though living were dead, subjects for tears. But God, who is rich in mercy, called you out of darkness.

That night, in the wee hours, you called out, and He heard. Do you see the manner of His invitation? He does not require a decorated palace, but a humble heart crying in the darkness. Deck your house then, not with worldly colorings that disfigure the soul to the ruin of those who behold them, but with alms, with prayers, with supplications, with vigils. These are the decorations of Christ the King, the furniture of a house where He is welcome.

You speak of the Spirit's baptism, of tongues, and a prophetic calling. This is the grace presented to you through love, and grace with peace. But let us heed the Apostle: I pray that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and void of offense unto the day of Christ. The flame of first love is precious, but it must be guarded by truth. For there is a love according to Christ, which is the tender mercies of Christ, having become as a father through that relationship. And there is another sort of love, a false one, which must be fled at a great distance. Hold fast the pattern of sound words. The strait way is by its nature laborious, but if we endure, we shall also reign with Him.

You long to see Him face to face, and tears run down your face. Do not be ashamed of this burning. If when now we hear, we so burn and desire to have been in those days He spent upon earth, consider how great a thing it is to see Him no longer in a mortal body, but with a bodyguard of Angels. Let us then use every exertion that we may see that admirable Face. Nothing is difficult if we be willing, nothing burdensome if we give heed. Mighty is the sovereignty of love; it alienates the soul from all things else and chains to the desired object. If thus we love Christ, all things here will seem to be a shadow, an image, a dream. We too shall say, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?"

Continue then in the grace and love towards man of our Lord Jesus Christ, with Whom to the Father, together with the Holy Spirit, be glory, now and ever, world without end. Amen.

What the Lord Jesus did for you in those dark hours is exactly what He spoke of when He said that a person must be born again. It was not a resolution or a change of mood. It was the Holy Spirit giving life to a spirit that was dead in sin. No one else could do it, and you could not do it for yourself. That is why the new birth cannot be reduced to turning over a new leaf. It is God begetting us again by His own Spirit, through faith in Jesus Christ.

The love you are expressing now is one of the surest signs that this has happened. You did not work that love up. The flesh cannot produce the love of God. The Scriptures say we love Him because He first loved us. When you see what He did, when you understand that He gave His Son to bear your sins and rise again, it draws a response out of a heart the Spirit has made alive. Your tears over His cross and your longing to see His face are not mere emotion. They are the affection of a heart that has been born of God.

The same Holy Spirit who saved you is the one who must keep you. You cannot love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength in your own power. None of us can. We are too weak apart from Him. The Spirit was given to enable us to live what we cannot produce in ourselves: to love the unlovely, to forgive, to be kind, to walk in obedience, and to keep our hearts set on Christ. When the Spirit was poured out on the believers, the result was not confusion about themselves. The result was bold witness to Jesus and His resurrection. So let the Spirit continually point you back to Jesus.

Whatever calling He has placed on your life, the test is always the same. The Spirit of God bears witness that Jesus the Messiah has come in the flesh, that He is the only Savior, and that there is no other provision for sin. Any leading that exalts Christ and produces unfeigned love is from Him. Any voice that moves your confidence away from Jesus and His finished work is not the Holy Spirit, no matter how spiritual it seems. So test the spirits. Keep your confidence in Him.

Your name is written in the Lamb's book of life, and the rock does not need to be struck again. Jesus died once for your sins. His resurrection is your assurance. Your longing to see Him face to face is right. You have not seen Him, yet you love Him, and one day you will see Him as He is. Until then, keep feeding on His word, let His love cast out fear, and let your gratitude turn into a life of glad obedience. May He keep you, reveal Christ to you, and strengthen you in the inner being until the day you stand before Him and see the One who loved you and gave Himself for you. In Jesus' name.
