Beloved of All
I’m just depressed. Logic and reason would indicate that the NSA is tormenting me with A.I. audio. Yes, there is a demonic element but 90% goes away when the phone and computer are shut off. I’ve known multiple people who probably worked for the NSA. Not good people. Please pray their contracts would not be renewed, that these people would lose authority within their own agency in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I am also frustrated trying to make money with online business and participate in online ministry and instead dealing with NSA harassment.

We hear the heaviness in your request and we stand with you before the throne of grace in Jesus' name, asking for God's peace, protection and clarity to cover you. Depression and torment, whether through technology, spiritual oppression, or the weight of fear and isolation, is a heavy burden, and we are grateful you reached out for prayer.

We understand you are discerning both a practical and a spiritual dimension to what you are experiencing, noting that much of the distress lessens when devices are off, and we encourage you to continue to seek wisdom and discernment. God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7. When fear and anxiety press in, we are invited to cast all our worries on him, because he cares for us, 1 Peter 5:7, and to bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving, trusting his peace which surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.

Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not ultimately against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. Therefore we do not wrestle in our own strength, but we put on the full armor of God, Ephesians 6:11, we submit to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us, James 4:7, and we rest in the truth that the Lord is our refuge and fortress, Psalm 91:2, and that when the righteous cry, Yahweh hears and delivers them out of all their troubles, Psalm 34:17. He is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18.

We also want to gently address the desire to pray for those you believe are harming you to lose their positions and authority. We understand the longing for relief and justice when you feel tormented, and God does call us to pray for justice and for evil to be exposed and stopped. At the same time, vengeance belongs to the Lord, Romans 12:19, and Jesus calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, Matthew 5:44, trusting that God is sovereign over all authorities, Romans 13:1, and that He will convict, restrain evil, and bring repentance where it is needed. So we will pray not out of hatred, but for God's righteous will to be done, for any abuse of authority to be stopped, for truth to come to light, and for those involved to be convicted and drawn to repentance if they are doing wrong.

We encourage you in practical ways as well to pursue peace and wholeness. Times of shutting off the phone and computer for rest can be wise, and we encourage you to use that time to dwell in Scripture, in prayer, and in fellowship with trusted, godly community rather than in isolation. Do not walk through this alone. We urge you to share this burden with a mature pastor or trusted Christian counselor who can walk with you, pray with you regularly, and help you discern wisely between spiritual oppression, technological stress, and the need for rest and care for your mind and body. The Lord desires to give you rest and to quiet your heart with His presence, Isaiah 41:10, John 14:27.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we lift up our dear one to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6. We ask You to surround them with Your peace and to lift this depression and torment. Where there is fear, bring Your perfect love that casts out fear. Where there is confusion or harassment, bring Your truth and clarity. Where there is any demonic oppression or influence, we rebuke it in Jesus' name and ask You to shut every door the enemy has tried to use, and to fill this home and heart with Your Holy Spirit, Your light, and Your protection. We ask You to guard their mind, their sleep, and their thoughts, and to help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. We pray for wisdom to use technology in a way that honors You and protects their peace, and for godly community to strengthen and encourage them daily.

Lord, we also bring before You those in authority in agencies and elsewhere. You see all things and know every heart. If there is abuse of power or evil intent, we ask You to expose it, to restrain it, and to remove authority from those who misuse it according to Your justice. We pray that You would convict any who are doing wrong and lead them to repentance and salvation through Jesus Christ. We ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that You would be our true protector and judge. Restore hope, joy, and soundness of mind to our sibling in Christ, and let them know deeply that they are loved, seen, and never forsaken by You. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear how heavy and wearing this season has felt for you. Feeling depressed and feeling tormented by sounds you cannot easily explain is deeply distressing, and we are glad you reached out for prayer.

We noticed you said things feel a bit calmer when the phone and computer are off. Paying attention to what brings even a little peace can be a helpful observation, and building in regular quiet time away from devices during the day may give you more of those calmer moments.

We also know depression can make us want to pull away from others, even though steady connection with people who care about us matters so much. We encourage you to share what you are carrying with a trusted pastor, counselor or medical provider who can walk with you in person, alongside prayer. If you have someone nearby you trust, please let them know how you are doing so you do not carry this alone. A professional can listen well and help you sort through next steps for your health and peace of mind.

You are not forgotten, and we want to keep praying for you.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. Cover him with Your peace and presence, guard his heart and mind, and give him rest. Grant him wisdom, clear direction, and caring support around him in the days ahead. Lead him to the help he needs and remind him that You are near and faithful. Amen.

Your sorrow and depression have been heard, and I would bring you before the throne of grace where there is mercy to be found. To feel tormented day and night, to feel that unseen powers are pressing upon you, is a heavy affliction indeed, and the Lord knows the weight of it. Egypt may very fairly represent those states of sorrow and sadness, depression and oppression, into which God's people come far too frequently, and if you are like many of the saints, you are by no means a stranger to inward sinking.

Do not think that the Lord has shut His ear against you. In our haste and pain we are prone to say with the Psalmist, I am cut off from before thine eyes, yet the Lord in His great mercy looks upon us still, and abhors not our hasty expressions but pities us as a father pities his children. When fear rises and the mind is beset, the promise stands, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. That peace is not found by rambling round and round to find it, but at home in the closet with your God, at the mercy seat where God loves to meet His people. If you are at the mercy seat, God is there too.

You speak of a demonic element and of noises that trouble you, and of relief when instruments are shut off. Remember that our great Deliverer has vanquished death and all its powers, and we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, even in this dark world of sin, even with sorrows surging round. Therefore labor to get rid, as much as possible, of fear, for fear is weakening and dishonors God when it distrusts His arm. Hear what the Lord says to His worm Jacob, Fear not, I will help thee, saith the Lord. It is not merely a preacher who cries Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant fallen as dead at His feet, Fear not.

I would counsel you, dear soul, to stay your mind upon Christ. Bear your sorrow with Him and see what perfect peace you will enjoy. Turn often to the Word, to prayer, to the singing of those songs of deliverance which remind you that you are accepted in the Beloved and justified by faith. And as you are able, walk not alone in this trial. Open your heart to a faithful pastor and to trusted brethren in the church, that they may watch with you and pray with you and help you bear this burden. If the devices in your home increase your distress, it is wise to set them aside for seasons and seek quietness, rest, and fellowship with Christ and His people. If the depression lies heavy and long, seek also the help of a wise physician or counselor whom God may use as an instrument of mercy, for the Lord often brings life and health through many means.

Let us pray for you now.

O Lord our God, who hast found a ransom and hast delivered our souls from the pit, look in mercy upon this afflicted one. Thou knowest the depression of spirit, the inward conflict, the fear by night and by day. Keep this dear soul in perfect peace, the mind stayed on Thee. Let the blood of Jesus whisper peace within, and let the Spirit draw near to the mercy seat where Thou lovest to meet Thy people. Grant deliverance from all oppression, whether of man or of the adversary, and set the feet in a large room. Restrain all that would do harm, and cause those who have authority among men to act with justice and integrity according to Thy will. Bring to light what should be brought to light, and restrain what should be restrained, and turn the hearts of all men toward Thy truth. But above all, let this tried heart know that it is not forsaken, for Thou hast said, I will never leave thee nor forsake thee. Give sleep, give rest, give faith to trust Thee, and bring this soul up from Egypt with a strong hand, that it may live and declare the works of the Lord. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only hope and Redeemer. Amen.
